  1. the only thing I am going to say is that we are to follow Christ, not man.
  2. no I wasn't I was wondering if you are aware of them here in the US like you were in the other country(ies)
  3. not to sound smug by why can't you believe it? the closer we come to the return of our Lord the more we will see and experience these things and worse. who knows the way things are going now, we may just see crucifixions all over again. nothing would surprise me..... 2Th 2:5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 2Th 2:6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He[fn4] who now restrains will do so until He[fn5] is taken out of the way. 2Th 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. even so come Lord come!

  5. I've had quite a few sweet dreams. Dreams of Jesus being with me, showing me things, clearing a path and walking ahead of me so that I find my way, swimming in deep calm pool of water, taking me to the highest place in the world and showing me my inheritance. I don't get them often, but they sure are nice to keep in my mind and heart for those really tough days.

It wasn't that bad, says professor By Jonathan Petre, Religion Correspondent Last Updated: 3:18am GMT 02/02/2008 The Crucifixion of Christ "wasn't as bad as it's been painted", an outspoken Marxist academic will claim on the BBC this month. 7. Blien, do you recognize the prince of America? I would be interested in hearing your input on that...if you don't mind patricia1
  8. I find being a Christian both easy and hard. It is hard for many reasons, the hardest being that I fear not being in direct alignment with the Lord and in talking to others about Him that I might cause them to stumble. It is also hard because I see a lot of things going on in the church and outside the church that I would love to be able to speak against, but I'm not sure where to begin or if I would even make a difference. That weighs on me ALOT! I fear much of the time that the church, especially in America has become a home for either the lovey dovey fluffy lovin' folks or to swing to the other end a new age of Pharisees that are as bad as if not worse than the ones who came before us. Christianity seems to lack balance in many ways. It is easy because no matter how difficult the road becomes it is the only road I would ever want to walk, as I know from the lowliest of lows what life in the world can be like and that there is no one on this planet that will accept me as I am, the way the the Lord has....WARTS and ALL. Indeed He is GOOD!!
  9. be that as it may, I still bless the one you have addressed and will pray that not only does that person find salvation but also that these words don't make his life even harder than it was before you spoke this way to him....I realize that this post was back in October, but I am a defender of the oppressed. And this person needs to know that it is through the love and grace of Christ that we come to Him, it is His ever so gentle tugging at our heart strings that brings us around to loving Him and because He loves us first and forgives us ALL of much sin we learn to find forgiveness for even the LOWLIEST of sinners. For it is not the sinner we hate, it is the sin. And I bless you too... Mat 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Mat 11:29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Mat 11:30 "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
  10. I have a question for you patricia: do your dreams ever come full circle or continue from one dream episode to the next?
  11. Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[fn3] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, Eph 6:15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Eph 6:16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; Eph 6:18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints-- Eph 6:19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, Eph 6:20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. don't let that old trickster tell you that you can't forsake the sin! that's a lie from hell. Forsake the sin for not to you forsake the man carrying the sin. As Jesus would not forsake the sinner but the sin, we are to follow along in His steps.
  12. LOL!! I just had a thought...I need to remember to leave my carry on bag behind too
  13. First off you are co captian on these boats because you still have free will of your life and decisions. You didn't dispute with the "captain" when he righted the boat to the original direction of the second boat because your luggage really holds no meaning or treasure for you anymore. our walk with Jesus sometimes has rough waters for us to travel but in the safety of Him we are moved along smoothly, "the uncomfortable" comes from not knowing what the future has in store. The luggage, your past, is a memory of things that were...sometimes a safety net for us because it is old and familiar, but to be left behind. We can't help but find our memories turning to the past at times. But the main thing is that it stay behind where we left it, we don't want to put on our old clothing (past life)... glad you are feeling better
  14. you are not alone in those perceptions.
  15. since I question so much about people really loving me, I think I would ask Him if why so many people really don't seem to find me worthy enough to love, why would you?
  16. you got that right...and it is all done in the name of their "god"..a small killing god who hates everyone even its own if it doesn't agree....Come Lord come

    Religion?

    .
  18. Shalom Alan, And the answer would be a resounding "NO." G-d calls and equips men to pastor and preach. He does not require every pastor to go to seminary.
  19. you know there are times, when I want to pray but can find no words to say. And I just have to tell the Lord that I'm at a loss for words, that I praise Him and to please help me find the words for whatever it is that is going on me. I don't think that any one person has the super formula for prayer. Just talk to Him, speak what's on your mind and on your heart...He isn't really that concerned about what you say as much as that you spend time talking to Him...at least that is how it works for me. I just be me....
  20. thank you Suzanne..that was a blessing.
  21. that was lovely Suzanne and yes I will keep Dan in prayer.
  22. Blessings to you jackie d in Jesus name A NZ (New Zealand) Maori are the indigenous people. The world know us as Polynesians. Australia have the Aboriginals, America have the Indians etc A marae is similar to a reservation. It's a tribal community where we have buildings for specific functions. There are privately owned homes, two bedroom flats for our elderly, a Maori pre-school known as a Kohanga Reo. If you type Marae into Google it may bring up some photo's. thank you Bolts and blessings to YOU in Jesus name
  23. not in dispute of the verses you posted at all....but what about these two questions? Not that I want to sin, but it happens and I am someone who can easily condemn myself and continue to beat myself for the wrongs I've done. When I am doing this I am not enduring but taking the forgiveness that Christ says is freely mine and holding onto my wrongs as weapons against myself. So I have to ask, isn't part of endurance to go to Christ with our sins, laying them at His feet, accepting His forgiveness and not allowing the enemy (myself or satan) to take this from me. Isn't part of enduring to stand firm in the faith of believing that Christ has forgiven me and moving forward in spite of what I have been or done? Yes, but the enemy can also kid you into thinking that is acceptable to keep doing the same sin over and over again, without regard to what God's Word says. Who are you going to believe with regard to your sin? The subtle temptation to believe it's ok, and you'll be forgiven, even when you continue in willful sin activities, OR to believe God's Word with regard to whatever it is you are practicing? At some point, you've got to decide WHO you're going to believe, and then "endure" in what you know to be Truth. In His Love, Suzanne ya, I get that but the fact remains, we are still going to sin. Knowing this, we also cannot let this defeat us from continuing to endure in spite of this knowledge. Of course through regeneration we will be renewed and those things of old will be shed as we become new beings and more Christ minded, but the fact remains until the day we die, we will commit sin. This has to be part of the picture of what endurance looks like or it makes no sense to even try as I saw some stating in other posts. And I will read Galatians as you have suggested. thank you
  24. what is NZ Maori? What is Marae?
