  1. giving his hamster away animal cruelty? really? and banned because of voicing his opinion on a few things? last I checked, being rude isnt against the law. I wouldnt hold any of those things against him.
  2. oh, its not any fun. theres a reason im not up there anymore. But, one learns to deal with it after awhile.
  3. There are several things he can do, one of which theyre already doing-buying up all the ammo-but he can also restrict certain gun importations and the like.
  4. good point, -42 C is -43.6 F. now, add 32 degrees to that, adn its actually like 70 degrees below freezing.
  5. well, throw it out into cold air, and its moving, which creates wind chill . . .and the thing about boiling water is, it stops bubbling almost instantly once you pull it off the heat source. I dont know the mathematical equations, but I have spent a LOT of time in really cold environments that I do indeed believe it.
  6. he has. I just have a hard time seeing mark lowry being serious is all lol.
  7. lol love it, and it was sung during the time lowry was singing with them. added bonus.
  8. I dont doubt it, have you ever been anywhere where its -42? I know when I worked the oil field, in ND it hit colder then that with windchill, before windchill it was -20, -30, and I remember some locations wed go onto, thered be ruts full of standing water knee deep full of water-by midnight, those ruts would be frozen solid, all the way down and hard enough that you could drive a 80,000 pound semi over the top without leaving a crack. a water bottle froze in a matter of minutes. another time, I was working loading a pickup on a flat bed, -65 with windchill, our noses started running, and the snot froze instantly on air contact. literally, instantly-and the warm air of our breath did nothing to melt it.
  9. Maybe YOU should read it again; those statements refer to RESEARCH on those types of treatments. I reiterate: " I DID read it; it's about RESEARCH and not funding treatments which don't prolong the life of the patient. It's NOT about a panel making direct health care decisions. " Would you prefer that money by invested in treatments that benefit no one? Where does that money come from? There's no reason to be snarky, Patriot. Im not being snarky, im pointing out that the title is what the article is about.
  10. maybe it opened up the wrong article for you two? it matched it for me, perfectly when I read it, I especially like this paragraph "Obamacare contains largely unreported text that allows the health secretary to limit any “alternative treatments” of the elderly, disabled or terminally ill if such treatments are not recommended by the new research institute." speaks to the title very well if you ask me. Maybe you should read the article all the way through, just because it doesnt have "death panel" every other word, and it goes through and lists the different areas and wording, doesnt mean thats not what is about.
  11. I would say, as in physically, literally living a monks live (im talking of the lifestyle, whether it be protestent catholic, dont matter) is not Biblical. You don't see any of the original apostles doing it, nor do you see the instition in the Bible anywhere. and like bryan has said, it gives the impression of elitism, and to a point, it also seperates us to much from the world to the point we can't connect with the rest of the world-and if we can't connect, we can't effectively witness. Now, I would say, in principle, it is. The reason for this way of life, is to draw closer to God, to set ourselves apart to do so. Spiritually, we do need to do this-to constantly, seek to grow closer to God, in constant prayer and bible reading. But we also need to keep connected, with the world enough that we can witness to them. Im not saying we need to hang out in bars or the like-but we do need to be able to associate with people, on equal ground, if we are to effectively witness to them. Our hearts and minds need to be on growing closer to God, and our bodies need to be used for witnessing. The life of the monk-was started with good intentions, and the core reasons, growing closer to God, is fantastic, its something we all need to do it, but isolating oneself to a monestary, is not the proper method to do it I don't think. We need to find a way to spiritually keep our eyes focused on God and God alone-while still being able to witness to the world, when your in a monestary somewhere, your not witnessing.
  12. It doesnt matter, westboro does what it does, I dont agree with it, but I wont sign a petition designating it a hate group, because it opens the doors for the government and others to come after other churches, that arnt doing that, for example, in this case, the catholic church. I realize, that the government hasnt made a move yet toward either westboro or the catholic church-but the thought is in peoples head now.
  13. Some people wonder what was wrong with labeling westboro a hate group, well heres why, it opens the door for a whole lot of bad things. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/white-house-petition-calls-for-obama-admin-to-designate-the-catholic-church-a-hate-group/
  14. Already has started to come back and bite us, take a look at this petition: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/white-house-petition-calls-for-obama-admin-to-designate-the-catholic-church-a-hate-group/ wonder whos next?

  16. I dont think were as bad as they were, yet. but we will get there, if we let the country go unchecked like it has been.
  17. g23, what makes you think they wouldnt? history repeats itself. Lets look back at every ancient empire. Persia, Babylon, Egypt, Rome. Lets look at more recent, Hitler, Stalin, should I go on?
  18. I hear all kinds of reports on waco. Fact of the matter is, Koresh was begging for a fight, he really was, and he chose to not only have innocent women and children on his compound-but to mix his fighting men in with the women and children, essentially making them targets. Was reno a bit trigger happy, and probably respond with to much force? yes, probably, but koresh was no freedom fighting angel-he was, just a wee bit wacky. C/Ts try to spin it a lot of ways, reality is it was just a messed up situation, people need to learn, ya there may be more to a lot of things out there-but there is NOT a conspiracy around every single corner, and some, like this one, need to just die, its ancient history. Time to focus on the present.
  19. Ok all, day late, but I thought this video appropriate for our times. However, disclaimer here, there maybe some images in it that some may find disturbing, but the core message, shines through-our future, is our youth-lets not forget them. [media=]
  20. hmmmm person who hates guns because they kill people, is inciting violence. another example of hypocrisy. Of course, he wont get away with it. anyone trying to tie a conservative to the back of a pickup, will probably end up seeing the business end of the conservatives gun. just saying.
  21. newspaper office isnt owned by senator freinstein whats her name is it? LOL
  22. when our government-including the Obama family, turns in their guns, maybe Ill take them seriously. Maybe.
  23. I disagree. We should be resisting, and at least warn them of what is to come.
  24. I like the ads for the conspiracy theories on the page.
  25. lots of good things to use them on. If I had the money, id be out buying another myself to be honest. There are a few guns I would like to get, that if they get a new assault weapons ban in place I wont be able to.
