Yes its unfortunate. Thievery is thievery and it doesn't matter if its christians or non-christians doing it. unfortunately since no one can prove that these snake oil salesman are what they are in a court of law, they are allowed to continue on decieving.

That makes God sound like some kind of Mafia Don, doesn't it? I remember hearing that when it first came out. I decided to be more careful about what ministries I support a few years ago. If a ministry isn't transparent about its finances, its a red flag. I don't have a lot of money, and what I do have I'd like to see used for the Kingdom. Yes! This is what it means by us being good Stewards of the masters money. Remember the talents given to the masters servents and what happened when he returned!

So, she wasn't a "fool" for staying and obeying? She wasn't a fool, the power that religion holds over people will cause them to make bad decisions like staying and allowing her husband to murder her. The church is responsible for her murder along with her husband and will have to face that when God does an accounting. I will be very surprised if it lasts. Maybe France finally realized (after all the trouble they had with the Muslims trying to burn Paris down) that mentally unstable people with nuclear weapons (i.e. Iran) is a really bad idea. We have never gone in and destroyed a country without helping to rebuild it afterwards. This country has never been about that. We restored Germany and japan after our wars with them, and helped build them up. While war is Amoral, leaving these people in devestation after a war is IMMORAL! We have always been blessed by God, for not leaving them to suffer once we have broken them down. Its not a liberal concept. When he sent Israel in to take countries in war, either they were commanded to kill everyone or they took captives and brought them back and took care of them. I realize that unions were needed at one time. However, I, personally feel that they have outlived, or out-grown their usefullness. I worked at a grocery store one time. The union came in and told us if we fought the good fight and got them in, they'd help us out. They promised us the sun, the moon, and the stars. What we got was what Charlie Brown gets every time he goes trick or treating. A rock in our sack. We voted the union in and as soon as we did, the guy that owned the store closed it. What did the union do to help us, once we where out of a job? Zip. So I'm not too all-fired up about being a big union fan. Sorry, but I've got no use for them. They may help some people, but all I got was the sharp end of a stick. So reading between the lines here...what happened was....your exemployer was afraid he would have to give his workers a raise and better benefits, so he chose to close down instead. Who's the real jerk here? Businesses are hard enough to run and put up with the crap that you have to put up with. So if you have a union coming in, why bother with all the crap they pull. If you talk to union reps down here, you get fired! My husband works at a union plant. The wages are great, the insurance is the best and the employees are not scared to death that they will be laid off and have immigrants take their jobs at low wages....as has happened at the nonunion plants in this area. Business make the profits off the work of their laborers... I am on the side of the working American who is trying to raise their families, not some corporation whose CEO receives a multimillion dollar bonus every year. It is the corporations who have brainwashed the sheeple to believe that unions are bad. It is to their benefit to have the sheeple think their way so they can give their jobs to low paid immigrants without having to take too much slack. You had it partly right. Corporations are in the business to make a profit! That you had right. UNIONS suck the company dry until they make no profit, like chrysler when the govt had to bail them out, i think Ford lately had to close plants here in atlanta due to unions, Delta airlines went bankrupt because of unions, All a union will do is ride a company into the grave and pick over the bones. I have to agree with you, Elyahuw. In my area, Dresser-Rand has been on strike now since early August. The workers have been out of work for two months, and the company has brought in workers from the area to keep the plant running. The company has many big government contracts that are on a time schedule. The last time the union went on strike, the company lost millions upon millions of $$$$ and they moved many of their major departments out of the area. The company and union are still in lockdown with no scheduled talks, and the news is the company may fold up and move out completely. This company is the second biggest industry in the city, with Corning Glass being the first here in Corning, NY so it will really hurt this area if this happens. This is not a cheap company and the average pay here for an employee is $20.00/hr. and the benefits are on par with Corning Glass Works. The union has ruined this company! Many of the workers would like to go back to work, but can't because of the union. I have a major problem when someone tells you that you can't work to feed your family if you don't have a union card. i delivered freight up to mi years ago, it was pipe for a building being constructed, and when i arrived to deliver, the fella that ordered the pipe was going to unload me, he rented the boom truck to unload the pipe, and within seconds some fat fella ran over screaming you can't operate that boom truck without a union card. After arguing with him for about 10 min i finally said ok fine go find us someone to operate the boom truck. he ran off to go call someone, and while he was on the phone i jumped up in the boom truck and the guy that ordered the pipe slung the straps and i had my truck unloaded in 5 minutes before the union guy could get back to voice his objections. Boy was he mad and was screaming you'll never work in this state again. i looked at him and told him you really think i care? i'm from Georgia, we don't allow unions to tell us what to do!

I am speaking of laws on divorce, and standards in the bible to be involved in ministry. I mean if we aren't going to obey those then why not just get rid of all of it? Mat 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Mat 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. Mar 10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. Since divorce is specifically addressed many times in the bible, wouldn't it be specifically addressed here if that is what was ment by the elder being with one wife? This passage refers to multiple wives.

Adultery covers much more than just sex. Abuse, drunkeness, drug addiction all are forms of adultery as well as following false gods. When teh spouse is abusive their breaking the same covenant that the adulterer breaks. Since a unbeliever leaving is not bound by that covenant then you aren't bound by it. Its all about the breaking of the covenant, not about sex. Any breaking of the covenant will make one an adulterer.

One of the biggest reasons i don't go to a church is that its so steeped in ritualism. Its dead when your in a ritual rut. You have two hymns, offeratory, choir sings, another hymn, sermon, and benediction. Then you have sermons that would put a kid wired up on cokes and ho ho's into a coma. By the time the benediction is given, your chomping at the bit worse than a thouroughbred race horse at the kentucky downs when the gates open. Around here, most of what is available to go to is word of faith churchs which are so far off the path that its dangerous to enter and let them fill your mind with their false teaching. If i find one like the one i am still a member of, i'll go. But until then, i am not going to waste my time and fill my mind with false teaching.

Why is it our responsibility to pay for their insurance? Isn't that their parents responsibility?? Because the Liberal viewpoint is very myopic. They want, need and care about votes, more than anything else in the world. Take that wonderful ad they are running now teamed up with AARP and using kids to hock their party "Don't make promise's you won't keep." Like liberals never do that. They like big pork barrel projects like health insurance and welfare so that they have a big base of people sitting at home getting checks for doing nothing, so that they will have people to vote for them. Never mind the fact that the more you teach people that they don't have to work for a living, the smaller the pool becomes for the money your using to fund your pork. They just let someone else deal with the short-fall later on. That's the American way. Don't teach responsibility, teach dependence. If people aren't dependent on the government, especially a liberal government that will hand them whatever they ask for and not ask them to work for it, then government might shrink, and we can't have that. You know this is what ticks me off about democrats and their usage of the slogan "It's for the Children" or "What about the children". It's not my responsiblity to raise, feed, insure some other persons rugrats! I've raised 4 of my own and two children i adopted. If i needed insurance, food, clothes, toys, and my job didn't provide enough income to buy them, I went out and worked another full time job. At one point i was working 1 full time job and 3 part time job to get whta my family needed, and i was working at one time a full time job, part time job and going to night school to further my education so I could get one job to provide for my needs. NOBODY paid for my kids, i paid for them. I provided their needs, not joe taxpayor! I'm not the smartest individual in the world, and wasn't rich by any means. THE PROBLEM IS that these people are lazy as hell! THey need to get up off their butts, and get to work, and take care of their responsibilities. IF their kids are starvign, then go out get a job! If their kids need insurance, Go out and get a job! IF one job isn't enough get two jobs! Success is not based upon working 40 hours a week and sitting on your butt for 120 hours a week. Success is working the number of hours you have to work to get you where you need to be. IF YOU DON"T want to work all those hours, then work the long hard hours and put in extra hours going to school. SHooot we give FREE education in this country! Stop sucking off of the government teat, sucking my money out of my pocket, and do something with their lives instead of wasting their lives in front of a 50" flatscreen tv that the taxpayor paid for, playing nintendo and feeding their fat butts with the twinkies and ho ho's bought with TAXPAYERS MONEY! I cannot really say what i feel about the Holy Spirit, having not done enough research on who the Holy Spirit is or what his/it's purpose is in Jesus' perspective. I can however tell you that it is important to be taught by not only biblical scholars but historians as well ( often times the same thing ). I think its crucial to the correct inturpretation of the Bible. Without studying the history, the political agenda of Herod during Jesus' day, how the Jews saw things like "heaven" and "hell", their ideas on ressurection..... we cant properly inturpret the bible. We cant glean much from something we dont know or understand.
