I post stuff, go back to look and its gone! Did I break some rule again? So sorry, forgive me if I did, I am just having fun talking bout God and all. Could someone check into it or let me know what I am doing wrong?
-
Sweetie, I used to worry about self defense and all that stuff but then I realized that I was not trusting God. Your probably saying HUH? Well, I look at it this way, I can walk right through the roughest neighbourhood in the worst city out there and God wont let me die or be harmed unless its his Will. I trust him with my safety, I trust him with my everything, so I dont worry about self defense. Plus, I have learned if you speak the truth, softly, with compassion, most people will just melt and will turn and be on your side after a little chatting. I dont sweat the small stuff, I let God handle all my buisness.

I agree with you on most of what you posted. The Church does need to have a degree of seperation or not follow after the ways of the world, this is true. Now comes the tricky part. The Church needs to be strong enough to walk straight into the most "wordly" extablishment out there and talk to/convert people. It needs not to be judgemental of people, it needs to have a heart of compassion to see the plight of the non believer and show them the way. Were talking agape love here folks. Heres an example. Music. Most people think you can only listen to Christian Music or lest ye go to Hell. Well, even the "bad" stuff isnt all bad. For instance Rap. Its got an awesome beat and I can really cut a rug dancing to it. Sometimes the Lyrics are a bit colorful but everything is tainted in sin so why should song lyrics be any differnt right? Everything is touched by the original sin, everything man creates is touched by that same sin, even songs. Anywho, last night I was sitting in my van at a mini mart and this young guy was over there playing really loud rap music. I started dancing in my seat because the music had a great beat. When my husband came out of the store, I asked him to ask the guy what radio station he was playing. He laughed and said it was a CD. See, thats your opening folks, a way in to talk to people about the Lord. Take a genuine intrest in them and their lives and people will respond. Dont be the stuffy old Church folks, go out there (keeping your Christian values) but talk to the people in their own language. Its true, you draw much more flies with honey than vinegar. Plus, who are we to be judgemental anyway? Isnt that Gods job? Alot of people have been turned off by the Church because of the Judgemental attitudes of some Christians. Its time to show them what the Church is really about. My theology 101 again. Love, Forgiveness, Redemption. Thats what its all about folks. [quote name='Todd the Mut

Oh I like that idea. Fellowship with the Church and a clean bathtub all at the same time. Thats what the Church is for (not cleaning bathtubs persay) but to help out its members when they need help. I will say that the idea of the Scrubbing bubbles is a good one too though. Thats what I use. Just spray it on and wait about 10 min then wipe it out and the tub sparkles. That would not work with your knee though, I would ask for some help till you heal.

No Such Thing as a 'Perfect Temperature'
roselady replied to Ovedya's topic in Most Interesting News Developments
I am a big fan of global warming these days hehehehe I thought it was universily accepted that 72 is the perfect temperature. Nope. 85 F and dry in Marnieland is the perfect day. Come by, you'll see what I mean. It was so cold on Easter (it snowed in Texas go figure) record lows here I was tempted to drive around in my van all day just to see if I could get it to warm up some -

What a neat story of how God chooses his Elect and his Children. -
Hon You sound like a good kid, and a good Christian. You know what? I want you to choose. Let the Creator guide your steps, I am just a mouthpiece ya know? I wish I had the money to do just that. I think, on account of that, that this is a leap of faith. Just wondering which College I ought to leap to.

I got to thinking about something! I remember reading something about the subconcious or unconcious mind. That you can have things in the back of your head that you really arnt aware of that may surface at a later date. Dont that have something to do with the "super ego" hmmm, maybe I am just off track again. I have never done too well with psychology or therapists. Oh and if someone could explain that concept of having a "third eye" or intuition and perception that would be real cool. You know that sounded a lot like the gift of dicernment that the Church speaks of. I just wonder, if its not all the same thing?? Let me know what cha think K?

Hi Kat, Do you still have my post on Predestiation? If you could, would you post it? If you dont have it anymore than thats OK, it wasnt my best work.

So why am I married anyway?
roselady replied to mathqueen's topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
You know I ask my self the same question everyday. I think its more like this. You remember the sovernty of God? Well, he has a group of people who he calls his elect. Those people are to stay together for all eternity. People may say "look at that" but guess what? God gives His Grace and Mercy to whom he chooses. We all deserve judgement, and have fallen short, but through the sovernty of God He pours out his Grace. Just my thoughts on that subject. -
Yeah that is a problem isnt it. Well, some people have a big set of eyes that can see right into a person and know what they meant when they said...............

Hey those are some really nice pictures. I had posted a bunch of pictures on another Christian message board (in the Ladies Forum) about the ice storm but I am not sure if I can go there to get them. They still think I am bad but its OK you just cant please everyone. What? Another Shutter-bug! Ohhh I get it now! hehe talk about slow on the uptake!

OK let me try to break this down. The Creator is a being, we are not beings, we are human becommings. Always changing, growing, getting old, so on and so forth. The Creator always was, and always will be. There is no beginning or end. So in short, he just exists without any beginning.

Hon, Paul was chosen to take the place of one of Judas. He also was also visited by Jesus several times, and caught up in heaven. He did not witness the crucifiction, but he did withness other things that are a part of the Word.

Honey, This is the problem with atheism. If a person tries to follow Gods laws, including the natural laws then they have a moral foundation in which to stand and can make correct decisions. Without that moral foundation its like having your foundation built on shifting sands. With every situation you have to make some sort of moral jugement, but with no basis in reality in which to make a good or right decision. Hope that makes sense to you.

The Bible is about three word. Love, Grace, and Redemption. Thats theology 101. Ok that other part Theology 102 Yes there is sometimes judgement to teach and guide. Why? See theology 101.

I wonder if its really 40 days or if thats not symbolism for some other time frame.
-
That is a bit over the top. I believe in the safety of Children but to not even allow them to play and BE kids, thats just stoopid.
-
ROFL Very true! But seriously, just give your will completely over to the Lord. Let him and his divine wisdom guide your steps. Dont think about it, just let it happen and you will dance plum though your day. Like poetry in motion. Its fun, you oughta try it. Yeah, that works too.

I think they oughta run Bill Gates. Hey think about it, he is the most awesome buisness man I have ever seen, I think he could balance the budget and fix the economy. Plus, he gives to charity and that says a lot about his character to me. He certainly would not be in it for glory or money. I think he is the man for the Job. What do you all think? LOL A house wife nomination goes out to Mr Gates. What do you think Mr Gates?

Is there any truth to 'the enemy would follow us here?'
roselady replied to Tubal-Cain's topic in World News
Very true, those terrorists have it in their mind that if they die trying to kill innocent people they will recieve redemption and glory in heaven. I dont think most Muslims believe that way but some of them have really warped Islam to the degree that they are a danger to the world. I am much more in favor of the kinder, gentler, Islam than the one of war and terror. -
Hey any of them Physics brainiacs around?
roselady replied to roselady's topic in General Discussion
Cool! Hey I might get my questions answered in July? I love it, I will have to look and see if I am right or close to being right. You know, I love physics, its just a hobby though. I cant even do the math to prove or disprove my theory so hats off to those who can. I am in to the simple things, kind of like my biggest rule and method. KISS, or Keep It Simple Stupid. Stupid refering to myself of course lol. -
