  1. The "soul" and "spirit" are connected, BUT separable (Hebrews 4:12) The "soul" is basically the essence of humanity's being, it is who we are. I think of it as the "soul"= life The "spirit" is the aspect of humanity that connects with G-d. Further more only believers are said to be " spiritually alive " We know that animals do NOT posses spirits (unless demonic, but thats another subject) therefore I do not believe they go to heaven. 2. Well put Shiloh I speak for myself (would like to for all Christians) when I say this was NEVER a black or white election. If Alan Keys ran I would have voted for him in a New York minute. In my heart I knew McCain would loose, the love of many is growing cooler by the hour. I see this election as a turning point for our nation and I too am saddened. However I firmly believe that all the duckies are being lined up for a greater purpose. I'm not saying someone is the anti Christ but I am saying I'm watching the fig tree...the season is changing. With that shift in place I'm excited and hopeful as HIS daughter. We are living in some amazing times and will see many changes yet to come, all to fulfill the will of G-d. I hope many will join me in continued prayer for our new President. Daughter of Zion, Julia

  4. I seen the Dead Sea scrolls....amazing! What I love about this is G-d showing all those people who keep saying "there just stories in a book, and are not real" referring to the Bible..well....here's your proof !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Curly air helping circulate air and decreasing temp sounds good...wonder why Lions and hyenas have flat hair????? [/ All Cats sweat through their paw pads. Hyenas are actually closely related to felines So their fur plays no role in their sweating habits. Juls

  7. What in the World is going on ??? Barack Obama is overwhelmingly Britain's choice to be the next US president, five times more popular than his Republican rival, John McCain, a Guardian/ICM poll shows today. Carried out ahead of the Democratic candidate's visit to Britain next week, the poll reveals that 53% feel certain he would make the best president, with only 11% favouring McCain; 36% declined to express an opinion. Afghanistan , Iraq , Germany, and France ( France (64%), Germany (62%) ) If the choice of U.S. president were up to citizens of these countries, Obama would defeat McCain in a landslide. Even with relatively high no opinion percentages in each country (ranging from 25% to 32%), solid majorities of residents France, and Germany would rather see Obama than McCain elected U.S. president this fall. Afghans largely welcome Obama
  8. I'm replying because I have dealt with things of this nature most of my life. Let me start with reminding you about the POWER in Jesus' name. However I will advise you to let the Holy Spirit lead you...DO NOT attemp this on your own.The Holy Spirit thru me has asked for a name .. they have names believe it or not. Start cleaning out your home. Anything that appears unG-dly get rid of it! I have burned items before.Pray not only in your home but below and above...in HIS name. After that I have placed oil on all the doorways and windows. Do have a prayer warrior with you..pray,pray and pray for wisdom regarding this matter. Greater is HE that is in you, then he that is in the world! Julia
  9. Was anyone really surprised that Powell backed Obama ????? Cause I wasn't! Juls
  10. Hey Sis! There were Soooo many references about "worry" I could have went on and on and on...thank you for adding that treasure Love in Christ, Juls
  11. From my corner of the world to yours.... G-d bless, Julia We are an anxious nation...in fact, we are an anxious world. There is no question that uncertainty seems to have increased dramatically in the last few years. We worry about the economy. We worry about terrorism. We worry about war. We worry about losing our jobs. We worry about the dangers confronting our children. And on and on and on..... Now the New Testament word for worry (merimnao) means "to be anxious, to be distracted, to have a divided mind." It's the word Jesus used when He said, "Do not worry about your life" (Matt. 6:25). Paul used it when he wrote, "Be anxious for nothing" (Phil. 4:6). People who worry are preoccupied or distracted. No matter what else they may be doing, one part of their mind is worrying. What does the Bible say about worry? The Bible teaches that there are two kinds of worry: (1) a negative, harmful, crippling worry(2) a positive, beneficial concern. Negative worry in the Bible is a troubled fretting and anxiety. Jesus mentioned this kind of worry six times in the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 6). Peter instructed his readers to cast their cares on G-d (1 Pet. 5:7). When we use the word worry, we usually have this negative, crippling kind of worry in mind. Do you remember the time the disciples were out in a boat in a storm? Jesus had sent them ahead while He went to a mountain to pray (Matt. 14:22-33). A strong wind swept across the Sea of Galilee. It was so powerful that the exhausted disciples could make no headway rowing into it. Then Jesus appeared, walking to them across the water. The disciples were terrified. After Jesus identified Himself, Peter was skeptical. "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water" When Jesus said "Come," by faith Peter walked out on the water toward Him. But then he looked around him. He saw the power of the wind and the huge waves. He thought about the danger he was in and began to question whether he could survive in a situation like that. He began to sink. He cried out to Jesus, who reached out His hand and escorted Peter back to the boat. We worry because we distrust G-d. Confronted with our vulnerability, we have a choice. We can turn our safety over to G-d and trust Him with our apprehensions. Or we can take our well-being into our own hands. That's what Peter did on the water. Confronted by his frailty, he lost faith in Jesus. Yet he knew he couldn't save himself. Jesus' words to Peter are revealing. "O you of little faith," He said. Peter stopped trusting Jesus. When we no longer feel that we can trust Jesus with our lives, our feelings, or our future, we worry. All of us can rise above any situation that life hands us. All of us can live a fulfilling life in the middle of the turmoil! Worriers have focused their eyes on the consequences of events that have not yet happened. They feel vulnerable and expect the worst. They take responsibility for things that are out of their control. But if they will turn to G-d, they will find in His character the answer to their vulnerability. G-d's character is best seen in His Word. G-d is in charge. The Bible teaches that nothing happens in this world that is beyond the knowledge and control of G-d. "The LORD has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all" (Ps. 103:19). He is God Almighty (Ps. 66:7). He is the sovereign Lord of all. Worriers feel that things are out of control--that something terrible is about to happen and they can't stop it. When the questions raised by those feelings create anxiety, worriers need to remember three important truths about G-d
  12. Agree 100% Danny So I took the liberty of posting some web-sites... * Where do they stand on gay rights? Barack Obama http://lesbianlife.about.com/od/lesbianact...BarackObama.htm McCain http://lesbianlife.about.com/od/lesbianact.../JohnMcCain.htm * Where do they stand on abortion ? John McCain http://www.washingtonpost.com/wpsrv/politi...ccain082499.htm Barack Obama http://www.ontheissues.org/Social/Barack_Obama_Abortion.htm
  13. McCain has said more then once..."Check my voting record and Obama's", that's what I'm doing. We all come to to the voting booths with matters close to our hearts and minds. Personally I feel strongly on issue's such as abortion and same sex marriage. While the President has little to say on these matters, I believe it is a example of his character (let alone moral convictions) Julia aka Juls
