I may take the icing on the cake here.... I was baptized in the Roman Catholic church. I attended a Catholic school for 10 years. My Mothers Parents ( my Grandparents ) Jews. My Fathers parents ( Grandfather Jew my Grandmother Catholic) My Mother was a active member in the Catholic church , my Father nothing. Depending on whom I would stay with was my religion for the duration. I'm all messed up...lol. However due to G-ds hand in all this...I was ill durning the time I was to make my Sacrament of Reconciliation..so I'm not really a Catholic...lol. Not finishing all rites. I say I'm nondenomination when asked. We laugh in chat when I say ...I am neither Jew nor Gentile. I'm just His daughter ....being taught by the Holy Spirit. Julia

As a rule, I stay away from these types of topics. The main reason for this is, pure ignorance of scripture ( to thy own self be true ) However, not being raised in a Christian church, with no human influence one way or the other, and called by G-d some 7 years ago now, I do have something to bring to all this. I'm going to cut to the chase...for your sake. Durning the "searching" years I had visited all types of Churches, each one unique. I had visited one Church that had "Alter calls " I believe thats what they are called. I sat in the front row that day,and watched as men and women alike walked up to the front of the church. I witnessed men, usually more than one, praying with the person that approached the front. Till all of a sudden, I watched as the man seemed to drift down to the floor! Yes, DRIFT. It was as if it were in slow motion.I looked around to see if anyone had just seen what I had. I was completely dumb founded, cause what just happened was impossible! Now I sat very still. I examained from my seat this man that laid on the floor no more than 6 ft. from myself. His body was jerking somewhat, and it appearded he was crying, his face now wet with tears. After about 15 minutes he got up, smiling ONLY TO RETURN TO HIS SEAT. Years would pass and different churches visited, and I came across another one of these "alter calls". I was personally asked to approach the front this time.I declined, but was reminded that G-d had brought me here for a reason. Not wanting to disappoint or miss something G-d had had for me, I thought to myself " here's your chance to see what this is all about". Just like I had witnessed the last time, there were men laying hands on me and praying. I closed my eyes, as I always do while praying, and thats when I felt something. It was an odd feeling, BEAUTIFUL, yet nothing I had ever felt before. I can compare it to being in a pool of water. Right were the water and your body meet, there's that feeling. Well, I never was " slain" or drifted downward, but I felt something that day. Like that man, I also cried, I felt forgiven, loved, understood. I'm no expert as many here are, I am not a pastor, I have no special schooling or degree's. I am just Julia...His daughter. But I do know this ; for the first time in my whole life, I felt forgiven that day. Julia

Hey Tigs ! I use to dress Liz up till she was 6 years old. I didn't get into the whole "trick or treating " thing. I dressed her up for family members, crazy now when I think back on it. But the whole " candy bit " why not take them to the store? beats begging strangers for some free stuff Just MY thoughts on it..lol Juls

Why not ask God to show u in a dream if it really is or not? I asked G-d but not by means of a dream...interesting. I will do that ! Thank you Love in Christ Jesus, Julia

When I was younger, I would often have dreams that would come to pass. This started at the age of 4 according to my ( unsaved) parents. This continued till I hit my teens. When the Lord called me 7 years ago the dreams returned. Now you would think that this would not surprise me, however, for the past 5 days everything I dream comes to pass. Nothing major...An example of this is : In a dream, I was in a strange place speaking with a man I had never met. He asked me if I needed help, and his name was ____ if I needed anything let him know. Well, on the way back from a job site I stopped in a gas station ( looking for a different path home ) and sure enough...just like the dream...a man came up asked if I needed help, gave the same name, and told me to let him know if I needed anything. I have never been to this gas station ! I walked to my car...dazed. My question is this : what is happening to me ? Does G-d still speak through dreams ? Can this be the work of the evil one ? Ok....the Discovery channel had a special on this...ready ? We will all be dead...the sun will explode, followed by metors hitting the planet. Now some animals will survive, spiders..as big as houses ! Fish that fly ( no kidding ) their called " flish" and sharks...they live through everything, however they glow in the dark. Why was I watching this ? I needed a good laugh! Humans dont morph ! PERIOD I was made in His image Juls

Blessings Sis ! WOW... I hear you loud and clear. Being also in Chicago ( as you know ) all the burbs are being hit by this. Liz was in Poms...not cheerleading! The cheerleaders and their Mothers are a different breed altogether, at least at Liz's school. But ya know what ? It begins at HOME! I can't say that enough. Liz went thru that stage last year...low cut shirts and such...and over my dead body was my daughter allowed to leave the house like that. Every so often I find myself at her school.......its like a ring of minor prostitution! The school is so worried about " gang related colors " ( although as far as I know there are no gangs ) they over look these half naked girls, walking all over the place. I made my calls to the school and sent letters. BTW...My understanding is theres a meeting regarding a NEW dress code for next year Keep on top of it ! We pay our taxes and they reap the benifits. (Us Chicago women are a tough group ...lol ) BTW...I didn't leave my name out of it, at the request of my daughter. Love ya sis...hope to chat soon. Juls

Before digi chat loads, there are 3 icons on the lower right hand of my screen, that read ; GZIP, Queries and something that looks like a clock. What are they for ? Curious as I am...I decided to hit the queries one..and digi chat stopped and I froze... Thanks Julia

I am not sure the facts are wrong...there are legitimate numbers at play. There is legitimate numbers showing the melting of the ice caps and numbers showing contribution percentages of "greenhouse gases". There is NO proof the 2 are as related as certain political proponents would have you believe. There ARE many different opinions on how the 2 are related. I am stuck on this point...that if "global warming" or "climate change" is such a huge, human caused problem, then why do statistics prove that humans account for "about 0.28%, if water vapor is taken into account-- about 5.53%" of all greenhouse gas emissions. Certain articles use words like 'many scientists support blah blah blah' when really the truth is that under 50% believe the ice cap melting is caused by humans. Their political agenda clouds the real issue and is done so for a reason. This is the same reason why the Bush Administration choses to use the term "climate change" instead of "global warming". It portrays a more accurate statement, the climate is ALWAYS CHANGING and has done so (if you believe in carbon dating billions of years) BTW I agree to disagree with you. Julia

After a few Worthy chatters questions , a few thoughts popped into my mind. So the question is: Is He Lord of your life ? At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of G-d the Father. Philippians 2:10-11 Popular today is the notion that you can have Jesus as your Savior and not as your Lord. Some say, "Well, I'll get Jesus to forgive my sins, and then down the road, I'll make Him Lord." Can I tell you something straight?..THAT'S A VERY BAD PLAN ! First of all, nobody makes Jesus Lord. He is Lord. The important question is whether you will bow the knee to Him. Until you embrace Jesus Christ as the One in charge, nothing in your life will make sense. If you've wondered what life is really about-well, this is it. Youth is fleeting. Wealth is nothing. Gifts and abilities . . . worthless. Real life starts when you realize you're not at the center. Jesus is ! But I've already made the decision to follow Christ-what comes after? Great question. Following Christ isn't just about your destination; it's also about your daily walk.... Jesus didn't save you just so you could get into heaven. He wants to change you on the way. He has declared you as righteous and He treats you as righteous-now He's in the process of making you righteous. He does that by requesting rule over every area of your life. Ask yourself this . . . Is He is Lord of my conduct? Jesus must rule over my actions-the things that I say and feel, over what I think and the decisions that determine my character. Even the small things matter. Is He is Lord of my family? Jesus wants to rule over the way I parent my children and treat my spouse. He wants me to remember who is in charge of my life and let that determine how I conduct myself in a dating relationship. Jesus wants His Word to be my final word. Is He is Lord of my time? How should I invest my life? How should I use my discretionary hours and weekend and evenings? I don't want to just flip pages on the calendar-I want to live my life on purpose. I put Him in charge of that. Is He is Lord of my talents? When He saved me, G-d gave me some spiritual gifts. I can help build G-d's kingdom whether that be through musical or teaching abilities, gifts of mercy, or the ability to help others. Is He is Lord of my money? Jesus said that where your treasure is, there your heart is also. Until He has what is most important to me, He doesn't yet have all of me. He doesn't need my little 35 bucks, but when I surrender it to Him, He gives me joy in return. Jesus is Lord when you can say, "There's nothing I hold back from Him. There's nothing He can take from me that I am not better off without and all that He gives to me brings the joy and fulfillment that life was meant to contain." When you can say all that, then you are bowing your knee to Him as Lord of your life. Julia
