  1. First how can you comment about a book you have never read. You can't speak out about something you never read, that's just silly. Second in now way was the author trying to create a false Idol God. The main character went to the shack with a preconceived notion of what God looked like. However when he finally meets God he appears as a big black woman. God even explains to the character that it is man's arrogance that has lead to preconceived notions of what God looks like. God explains that he/she can appear in an form or sex he/she wishes. In fact later on he/she does take the form of a man. Now I don't agree with everything in the book however I still felt it was a good book and worth reading. It will make you sit back and think about your beliefs and how you view God and the Holy Trinity, and what salvation means. However it make you think about relationships and how you treat people around you. The book explores ideas that I think are very sound and very much in line with the teachings of the bible and is explained in way that is very clear. I think all christian should read this book. You don't have to agree with all of it but I believe there is something that every one can draw from it.

Here is a simple question for you HAZARD, if God can be every where at once then why can't he be in heaven and every where at the same time. I don't know but this does not seem to difficult to really understand. God is all knowing and is every were from beginning of time to end of time. Your right God did come out and repent the creation of man because of the wickedness in man and was going to wipe out mankind, but then instead he choose to show mercy as well, which mirror what he would do through Christ. What it shows is a the greatness of God but also his consistence if you ask me. which just validates the bible and makes it more the word of God because it's consistent with the nature of God, he doesn't change. Sorry I don't have scriptures down by heart, which is why I'm not using them.
  3. Look I completely disagree with you, depression isn't always caused by demonic possession as you seem to claim. I'm not saying that it can't happen just saying that more times then not it is one of two things or more both then anything. If depression is a sign of demonic possession then I would say the vast majority of the population of the world suffer from demonic possession. This just silly when you get right down to it. People can be born with depression as they grow older, all it is, is a chemical imbalance in the brain that a person can not control. Now this on it's own can be corrected through medication. However what inflames the problem are negative thoughts. When we hold on to negative thoughts and dwell on them it only increasing the depression and makes it worst. People who suffer from the chemical imbalance naturally tend to dwell on negative thoughts and it becomes habit forming. They need to retrain how they think and they can over come the thoughts that occur in there mind. The chemical imbalance can be corrected through medication, however it can also be dealt with out medication. The first step is to realize when depression is about to set in, at that moment you must empty your thoughts and focus on the Lord and the Word of God. I suffer from this as well, except mine isn't due to chemical imbalance, it just from dwelling on negative thoughts for so many years that it became habit forming. I am now trying to retraining my mind and spirit and the best way to do this is by turning to the Lord and focusing on him. I recommend those suffering from depression to go to itunes and look up Joyce Meyer Radio Podcast. Then look for two part series called Your Brain and you. I found this series to be most enlightening. I think it is a podcast that some could really use. Actually think Joycer Meyer is one of my favorite ministers because she is informative, clear and direct, and yet not dry and boring. I wish more ministers were like her. I highly recommend any one to listen to her podcast, she so awesome and you can see how the Lord is working through her.
  4. If you still feel guilt, if you still feel pain [with who is irrelevant].....you haven't forgave. Forgiveness is not about them accepting the responsiblity, making them feel what they did to you [that's between them and God]. Forgiveness is about you and being able to move on. Forgiveness is about letting go of such pain for your own spiritual healing and growth. YOU are the one who can't sleep at night. YOU are the one hurting. YOU are the one in tears. It's not about THEM. When you let go of all that suffering, what you're really allowing to happen is giving Gods grace to come into YOU and heal all that pain. When you keep holding onto "it"...you're keeping "it"!....... Let go - you are His child, not theirs First off I never said I couldn't sleep at night, only that it hurts know that I was accused of this horrible thing. Second it's easy to say just let that go, but it's really not. However I have done that finally. I told my Mom once and for all in email not but a few min ago, that I didn't do what they say I did. I know that, the people who know me know that, God himself knows that. I told her that I am done with the pain, I have held on to it for 19 years and will no longer hold on to it any more. I told her I was leaving my pain in that email and walking away from it once and for all. However at the same time I can not have a relationship with people who believe I did such a thing. I told them it is the very reason we can not repair our relationship. I leave there fate in Gods hands. I have a the Lord who loves me but I also have a family who loves me as well and at the end of the day that is all that matters.
  5. Well I sent her an email back and though I forgive her and my step dad for things they did to me, after all if I can't forgive them then how can God forgive me for things I have done. I told her that I have enough guilt on my shoulders, enough demons that I don't need more. I told her that as much as I forgive them that there is to much pain for use to ever be a family again. I have family now that loves me and cares about me. That to me is good enough. I am very grateful to the lord for at least given me the chance to say my peace. To ask there forgiveness, which she never directly did I might add now that I think about it. It really hurts me what she said. I mean reading that email and her say the DA was going to prosecute me as an adult, really hurt me. I know none of it was true, I know I never molested my sister. However it hurts me because I been carrying that with me all these years I feel like I have been branded for something I didn't do and all I want it is for to admit I didn't do it. Every time I think about this I break down in tears because it hurts me so badly. I just wanted to be vendicated, to be free of this. Now I just want God to take this pain way. any way like said I told her that I think there just so main that has been created that there was no way to repair the damage completely. I told her that I forgive them and wished them the best of luck.
  6. I need some advice on how to handle a delicate matter, but first I need to give you some background so you have enough info to work with. This might be a little long so please bare with me. When a teenager (probably about 14 years of age) I had a lot of behavior problems and there was also some abuse going on at home (at least from my perspective, one that other people who I have share this with in greater details agree with me on). I had all ready been in a group home a few years before. Now things had gotten so out of control that I went to my school councilor and told them everything that went on. This lead to the state getting involved and me eventually going back in to a group home for boys (there is some stuff that happen in between but it's not important to the problem I am faced). Now a few months after getting to the group home (which was on a ranch not that it matters for the subject at hand) the lady who ran the program had told me that my Mom and Step Dad had accused me of sexually abusing my little sister (who was 5 at the time I think. I also had a brother to who was 11). I told her that I didn't and she left it at that. Later one of the staff basically forced me in to admitting to sexually abusing my little sister. He did this by grilling me for hours till I was so tired that I was willing to admit it just to get to go to bed, to this day I wish I never admitted to it. Well life sucked after that but eventually I pulled my self together to certain degree. I stopped trusting adults but I got over that to. Now shortly after getting to the ranch my Mom and Step Dad refused to have anything to do with me. In fact all my family refused to have anything to do with me. My real Dad and his side of the family really didn't have a choice, he had no idea what was going on. This is no fault of his own, he was not allowed to have contact with me...long story not important here. Any way when I was leaving the ranch I was talking to Rose Marry (the lady who ran the program) and my case worker and said to them "You know I never sexually abused my little sister, right" and they both looked at me and said we know. I think this had to do with the fact that I had been a Den Chief and I never did anything like that nor have I done anything that fits the pattern of some one who does those sorts of things. Now we warp head to today, I now have a great family. God has been so good to me and blessed me by not only putting me back in to contact with my Dad but I also have a Mom (his current wife) who loves me, plus two sisters, a brother in law, and what not. Any way just recently I found my Mom on face book. I sent her an email and heard nothing back it was a short email and that was it and she didn't respond. I decided that there were things I wanted to say to her and had for years, the big one was the me molesting my little sister. Any way she responded back. In the response back she tells me that the state had enough proof that they wanted to prosecute me as an adult but she refuse to press charges. I of course know this is a complete untrue because DA would have gone head and filed the charges if they had enough to proof to get a conviction no matter what she wanted. Not to mention that I flat out never did it. Now the problem is I don't know how I should respond back. I know I didn't do it and God knows I didn't do it. However I don't know if I should respond back to this or if I should even respond at all. It really hurts me to think that my own mother believes I did this, even worse is if she knows I didn't and accused me of this. I don't know how I should handle this, do any of you have any advice on this. What would Christ want me to do. You want to know what the worst part of all this is, I feel guilty about something I didn't even do. Any way any advice you could give would be most helpful.
  7. Ok here is thing for years I have struggled with sexual sin. However I am trying to do what is right and turn away from this sin, I am trying to turn my life over to God not only in faith but in how I think and act. However today I keep having sexual thoughts pop in to my head. I'm not dwelling on there quick little thoughts and images and I'm trying not to have sexual thoughts cause that just leads to a dark road I don't want to go. I just quickly remind myself that that these thoughts are wrong and that if I give in to them I would be disobeying the lord, so I quickly put it out of my mind. This has been going on here and there for last few days but today I'm being hammered or at least it feels that way. I kind of think that Satan is trying to pull me away from God which actually tells me I must be on the right track. It's funny because as hard as this is I find it rather comforting because it must mean I am on the right track with the lord, don't get me wrong I'm a work in progress but if Satan is tempting me with sexual sin it must mean I am doing something right...or I should say that the Lord is working in my life, actually I would say both, if that makes any sense. Any way I just wanted to say that out loud, one more for my self then anything else.
  8. First let me say hello my friends, I hope every one is having a good day. Now down to business and the reason I am here. I have a simple question about prayer. The question I have is can I write down my prayers, do you think God would accept that as a prayer...or even if I wrote them down and then read them back would God accept that as a legitimate prayer? The reason I ask this is that my thoughts always come out all jumbled up so I was thinking if I wrote them down it might help keep my prayers neat if you know what I mean. Plus I find writing helps me unclog thoughts, feelings, and memory's so not only can I make sense out of those things for myself but then I can also turn them over to God. However I wanted to get every one opinion on this matter. I myself don't think God would have a problem with it as long as it comes from the heart and it's not just vain words, but tell me what you guys think.
  9. So I download a whole lot of music by Loreena Mckennitt, who is just an awesome singer if you have never heard of her you should check her out, any how I came across this song called Dickens' Dublin and just fell in love with it.
  10. All right let me explain a few things about myself, the first of which is that I don't learn the same way most people do, never have probably never will. I don't learn through books, that's not to say I can't just saying it's very difficult for me. I learn through what I see, and what I hear. So picking up the bible and reading it is a very difficult task for me because there many things that are said in the bible that I don't understand and I sort of have to depend on others to help me figure out what it saying. While other things in the bible are straight forward and easy to understand. An example of what I am talking about would be the parables Christ used, most of them I have come to understand through talking to people who could explain them to me. However there a lot of things Christ said that I don't understand, and thus I'm not understanding what he is telling me. It sort of like some one come up to you and giving you instructions on how to save your life in a language you barely know, you get a few words here and there but in the long run your not getting all the info you need. Now in the case in "Who is Jesus" (and yes that is what I should named the topic it was a typo that I didn't realize till later) this is difficult concept to figure out. Understand who is Jesus is the source of my problems or was (will come back to the resolution in a minute) because this is my soul that is at stake here, I can't afford to get it wrong. I don't want to get caught up believing in something that maybe false, and now days it is very easy to believe something that isn't true. Case in point is who exactly is Jesus, I mean is he the Son of God or was he God made flesh. The both can't be true, only one can be true. So I begin this quest to resolve this matter, search the bible. Listen to others was not enough because there are different opinions on the subject, so it comes down to who do I listen to. I choose to Listen to Christ and not human beings. As I read John I found a passage were Christ return the sight of a blind man and yet Christ never told him who he was. This blind man later stood before the religious leaders and defended Christ even though he had no idea who or what did this to him. He only know that who ever healed him must have been given the ability from God. Christ later told the blind man who he was. The man later went back and told the religious leaders who had healed him. Now Christ also states that he and the Father are one, many times. He says that no one knows the Father like the son and that no one knows the son like the father. He states that he came to do his father work. Which in essence means that Christ and God are one. So here is the temp solution I have found, I don't need to know if Christ is God or the Son of God. I just need to know that he and God are one, that if I follow him and obey him and trust in him that I am also obeying and following God and putting my trust in him. The blind man had no idea who healed him or what manor of man healed him, only that if he could do such a thing that he must have been given authority to do such a thing by God and he said as much to the religious leaders. So I don't need to know if Chris is God or the Son of God to know that through him all things are possible. I also know from Christ own Words that he and the Father are one and that by obey and following Christ and putting my faith in him I also put my faith in God. So the solution is that I will just put my faith and trust in Christ because he is one with God and that by Obeying him and believing in him I also believe and trust God. That for now is all I need to know, as I grow in my relationship with the Lord and he changes me and teaches me I will eventually learn the truth one way or another, not when I want to but when Christ is willing to tell me. I love Christ he has been with me my entire life even when I hated him, even when I spat in his face. He showed me mercy and love even if I didn't see it. He didn't get angry and smite me like he could have, he didn't seek revenge, Christ showed me mercy, patience and worked in my life even when I didn't see it, till I finally came to a point in my life were I have accepted him and desire to learn about him and want to have a relationship with him. I love him for that kindness and mercy but most importantly for his patience and his willingness to forgive me of my sins. That is all I can say on this subject at this time, I still have a lot to learn but more importantly a lot of changing and growing to do in the lord.
  11. This is a very hard subject to figure out as a new believer. Maybe to those well versed in the bible and much broader knowledge Christ lays it out straight, that he is either the Son of God or is God made flesh. However to a new believer it is a nerve wreaking trying to figure it out. Last week when I posted I broke down in tears because I was so confused, so mixed up that I was ready to give up on Christ and in God because I could not figure it out, and people confused me more then anything. Now week has gone by and here is what I have come up with. First is that I still don't have an answer one way or another. However in the end I think at this moment this concept might be beyond my grasp to understand and wrap my head around. What I do know is this Christ was that he was no mere human, and that who or whatever he is had a relationship with God in such a way that they were equal to one another. That what is important for me to know at this moment is that Christ is my Lord and Savior. Christ did not come here to Judge mankind but to save it from it sins. What is important for me to understand is how to follow him and to obey him and to believe in him, beyond that everything else can be learned in time, and I will put my faith and trust that when Christ wants me to understand the truth of whether he is the Son of God or God himself he will revel it to me. I believe in Christ and my faith grows each day and I understand more and more of who Christ is every time I read the bible. One thing I want to say, John is my favorite of the new testament. I felt so much Love from Christ just reading the one book that my faith incressed more from reading that one book then all the others. However I still have a lot to learn.
  12. First off at one time she was a devoit christian and yet she was still plagued with these ability,s. Also its one thing for a cild o have sins like a temper or sexual issues, its a whole another matter for god to allow demonic forces to grant children or babies who really have no say at that age let alone understanding of good or evil these tpys of abilitys. The bible warns use from those people who are mediums and what not who practice mystism. She doesn't practice these things and yet she has these abilitys. Any way the point is I don't know what to tell her at this point but I will relay what you guys have told me.
  13. All right I need some help. I have a friend who has demonstrated paranormal ability's. She seems to have the ability to read thoughts at least to some degree, its not all the time but its enough to know that its not dumb luck. She also says that she can read people's personality, like there Aura. I also believe she has the ability to see spirits. She has had these gifts ever sense she was very very little, it was her grandmother who first brought these ability's attention. She claims that both her grandmother and her mom are practicing witch's. She has had many experience with the supernatural growing up. Now everything I have pieced together these are ability's sense she was at least four years old, maybe even younger with out realizing it. Now here the thing, the bible warns against physic's, mediums and clairvoyants. Now I believe in a few things, first that the bible is talking about those with these ability's gained through Witchcraft, Vodoo, or other Mystical practice. However I believe that any one born with these ability's are given these ability's by the devil or by demons. I think children are protected from demonic possession and other demonic activity's because children and baby's especially can not make the choice between good or evil. So the question is can God give people these type of gifts at birth? Look the main things is I want to be able to give her answers to these questions, but I don't know the biblical answers to this question. So if you guys could help I would be most grateful.
  14. All right first I in truth have no idea how knowing whether Christ is God in the flesh or the Son of God would effect our salvation. However to me it stands to reason that knowing who Christ is would be a big step towards finding salvation. While I will flat out admit that Christ was no mere man that he goes way beyond that, whether or not he is in fact God made flesh or if he was The Son of God I know he is one or the other. However I do believe it is important to know which is true because they both can't be true. However but how does one come to finding out which is true and which is not. Only one of these can be true and the other is a false teaching, if one is a false teaching then it means people are falling a false teaching. I want to make sure I'm not following something that is a false teaching. In short one is correct and the other is incorrect and that is the part I'm hung up on and can not figure out which is true and which is not. Understand this is not an attack but me trying to find answers or to get people on both sides of table who believe one or the other to post there belief and back them up with scripture in the hope that I might find that truth.
  15. Conclusion Both articles were very well written and are backed up by scripture, and thus leaves one wondering just who was Jesus. At the end of the day I believe that Pastor Martian Eldon Blodsoe article because it makes more sense. One biggest holes in Blindseeker article is that when Christ say says his Father (God) but if Christ is God then that would make him the Father, no matter how you spin it. We see examples were Christ is praying to the father again that would be praying to him self, and though Blindseeker does a very good job of explain this I think its more less splitting hairs. However this is a very much debated subject even among Christians. The very back bone the Christian faith rest squarely on who Christ is. We know that Christ was no mere man that much can be certain. We also know that Christ died on the cross for our sins. However understanding exactly what Christ one is a very complicated matter, as both of these articles show. Both have there merits and were backed up by scripture. If two people of faith have conflicting opinions on who Christ was then how do we find the truth. If the truth is only granted to use by God then how do we explain two people of faith believe so differently on who Christ was. Further more how do those of use who are trying to find these answers find the correct one. I do not question the existence of God, nor do I doubt that Christ died on the cross for our sins. However understanding who Christ is a key element to developing ones faith in Christ and in God. One could even say my very soul is at stake on this subject, because it leaves me asking which answer is right. As I said I do believe in God (I have seen first hand just how wonderful he is, and his hand at work in my life) and I believe Christ is our lord and savior, beyond that I am still in search of answer and not just any old answer will do. I want the right answers.
  16. This article is by Pastor Martian Eldon Bledsoe INTRODUCTION
  17. The first article is by our very own Blind Seeker. Justified In the Spirit God has promised in Hebrews 11:6 to reward us with understanding if we would "diligently" seek Him. Answering His call to personal holiness, picking up our crosses and following Him is how we seek Him. To those who obey this mandate Jesus said He would give to them "to know the mystery of the kingdom of God" (Mark 4:11). We are required to "diligently" seek if we are to find, just as we must actively knock if the door of understanding is to be opened unto us. We must humbly acknowledge our ignorance and ask for understanding if we are to be enlightened by God's Holy Spirit. Nothing is more blinding than the light one proudly thinks himself to have. Yet, all our seeking, knocking, and asking must be with an intention of true faithfulness if we are to receive anything from God. It is only when "our hearts condemn us not" of sin that we have true "confidence" toward God. It is in that place and condition that "whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight" (I John 3:21,22). However, the reveiling of God's precious truths is often time progressive. Seeing God's truth given one tidbit at a time is not rare. Holy men of old often prophesied of future events in fragments, "here a little" and then in another text, perhaps even another prophet, "there a little." This method of enlightenment is in exact accordance with what the bible teaches us. I Corinthians 13:9 tells us plainly that we all "prophesy in part." When we properly assemble these parts by the Holy Spirit's illuminating touch these fragments give insight into what would otherwise be a puzzling piece of scripture. "For without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, [God was] justified in the spirit, [God was] seen of angels, [God had] preached unto the Gentiles, [God was] believed on in the world, [God was] received up into glory" (I Timothy 3:16). The reason "justified in the spirit" is in bold print is because people often overlook it. Many people simply read over that part of the text as if it were just King James jargon, put there merely as some spiritual word filler. It's not. It's a very important confirmation of a little known and taught part of the Christian faith. Let's look again, "God . . . was justified in the spirit . . . " Now questions arise, "Justified of what, before who, how and why?" To answer the "before who" is easy. "God . . . was justified . . . seen of angels." To answer the other questions is not quite as simple. First we must make sure we understand exactly WHO Jesus Christ was (and is). Despite Paul's warning to Corinth church that some would come "preaching another Jesus . . . another gospel," most people are positive they know WHO Jesus is, (II Cor. 11:14). Many have never even considered scripturally proving that their "Jesus" is the same one Paul preached. In light of Paul's warning of "another Jesus" we would do well to examine our "Jesus" in the light of the "holy scriptures" with the help of the Holy Spirit given them "to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" (II Timothy 3:15). Jesus was, and is, called the "son of God." However, the word "son" was not intended to infer He would be God's descendant, or offspring, such as we have offsprings. The word was merely prophetic of THE CHILD's gender which God promised would be born. From the beginning, when Adam fell into sin in the garden, God promised that a deliverer would come. A "seed" that would bruise the head of the serpent (the devil), and the serpent would "bruise HIS heel" (Genesis 3.15). A "man child" would be born. Jesus Christ is that "seed" and "man child." A "son" that could only have been OF God, for as it was foretold, the child would be born of a virgin. While this child's conception was accomplished entirely OF God, men would still call him "son of man," (although no earthly man took part in His conception). The phrase "Son of man" is merely a Jewish maxim which testifies of one's humanity, as it is used by God toward Ezekiel so many times. In Christ's case, it too testified of His humanity - that He in fact was "born" a man. "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same . . . for verily He took not on Him the nature of angels: but He took on Him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren" (Hebrews 2:14-17). Just as Isaiah foretold, "a virgin" had conceived and brought forth a "son." They would call this child, as both Isaiah prophesied and the angel Gabriel foretold, "Immanuel . . . which being interpreted is, God-with-us" (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-23, Luke 1:26-35). Consider a few more scriptures; "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, (1)The Mighty God, (2)The Everlasting Father, (3)The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6). "Ye are My witnesses," saith the Lord, "and My servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He [the child to come]. Before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord; and besides Me there is no saviour. I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King" (Isaiah 43:10,11,15). Compare the above verses with John 8:24, 28; 13:19; 18:5, 6. In Jesus alone we see the above verses fulfilled. As I Timothy 3:16 says, "God was manifested in the flesh." Amazingly, in His finite, fleshly form, as a "son of man," would God's love and commitment be revealed for all to see. His incarnation would enable both men and angels witnessed His unselfish character by manner of the life and death of the man Jesus. Oh what wondrous thing is this? "God in Christ" has reconciled "the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them" (I Cor. 5:19). Through the wisdom of His incarnation God has revealed "unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: that in the dispensation of the fullness of time He might gather together in one ALL things in Christ, both which are in heaven [angels], and which are on earth [man]; even in Him [Jesus]" (Ephesians 1:9, 10). Now we who believe can see both "the power of God, and the wisdom of God" in Jesus Christ (I Cor. 1:18-24). Therefore, we give "thanks unto the Father . . . Who hath delivered us from the kingdom of darkness, and translated us unto the kingdom of His dear Son . . . Who is the image [manifestation] of the invisible God . . . He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church: Who is The Beginning, the Firstborn From The Dead; That in all things He might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him [the man child] should all fulness [of The Mighty God] dwell; and having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven" (see Colossians 1:12-20). In order for Jesus to qualify as the prophetic "Christ" and accomplish all this He had to be, by necessity, simultaneously both God and Man. Were Jesus not fully God, and fully man, He could not be what He claims to be in Revelation 22:16, both "the root and offspring of David." As the "root of David" we see Jesus Christ as "The Everlasting Father" of Isaiah 9:6 . As the "offspring of David" we see Him as the "man child" or "son" promised at the fall of man. Jesus is not merely some subservient offspring of "Father God." No, He is the Father. Jesus is The Mighty God. This is what Isaiah 9:6 plainly tells us. Perhaps the most common stumbling block concerning Jesus' deity is an apparent inability to answer the question, "How can Jesus be the Everlasting Father and still pray to the Father?" Good question. Nevertheless, Isaiah said the "Prince of Peace" would be none other than "The Everlasting Father," or as some would assert "the Father of Eternity." Indeed it is a mystery, but just because something is a mystery does not make it impossible. A mystery is simply proof of ignorance, a lack of knowledge and understanding. A good basic guideline for understanding Christ, the God/man, is to remember that God in His pure essence "is a spirit" (John 4:24). By Jesus' own words we know that "a spirit hath not flesh and bones" (Luke 24:29). Therefore, God in His pure essence as a spirit is not limited to a finite visible form. Being omnipresent, He is everywhere all the time, throughout time, at the same time - past, present, future. Therefore Jesus, while locked in time and space by His human flesh, through prayer communed with His Omnipresent Spirit, "the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity" (Isaiah 57:15). Now ponder this, if you could simply go back one minute in time you could both see and be with yourself. You could even talk to yourself. Would that make you two? Certainly it would seem as if there was two. Nevertheless, in truth you are still only one. One in heart, one in mind, but in two places. It is the escape from time's hold that affords you the ability to be in two places simultaneously. You, from the future, could warn yourself of what is yet to come. This is what Jesus revealed to Nicodemus. "No man has ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven," (John 3:13). Jesus was there talking to Nicodemus, yet referring to Himself as "is in heaven." It is this unique aspect of God's Omnipresence by which He knows those who would be saved from the foundations of the world. "Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am He" (Isaiah 41:4). "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel will stand, and I will do all My pleasure" (Isaiah 46:9,10). "I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of My mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass. I have even from the beginning declared it to thee: before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them" (Isaiah 48:3,5). At Athens Paul encourage the men to "seek the Lord [Jesus], if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us: for in Him we live and move and have our very being . . . " (Acts 17:27,28). Again in Psalm 139 David reasons with God saying, "Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from Thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there. If I take the wings of morning, and dwell In the uttermost parts of the sea: even there shall Your hand lead me and Your right hand hold me" (Verses 7-10). "Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD" (Jeremiah 23:24). Thus we can see the omnipresence of the "eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God." We see in Romans how great a relationship one can have "IN" Christ."There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are IN Christ Jesus." This "IN Christ Jesus" is different from the "in"we see spoken to the men of Athens, "IN Him we live and move and have our very being." This "IN" is much more. It is more than just some hyper-spiritual concept concerning the "Christian position." This "IN" is a state of intimate communion one may have with Christ. However, this is only possible after one has made a conscious resolve to "walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" (Romans 8:1, see I John 1:3,7). This "Spirit" one must walk after? Who is it? It is the "Spirit of Christ" of course. Is it not Him we want to be "IN" and be intimate with? See Romans 8:9, "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the SPIRIT, if so be that the SPIRIT OF GOD dwell in you. Now if any man have not the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, he is none of His." Furthermore this "Spirit of Christ" is the Holy Spirit. A mistake many make is they perceive the phrase "Holy Spirit" to be a proper name. It's not. It's a precise definition of God. He's holy and in essence He's a spirit. Therefore He alone deserves to be called the "Holy Spirit." Let's look at a few more scriptures. God, who at sundry times and in divers manner spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son . . . the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person" (Hebrew 1:1-3). Note the words in bold type, "God, spake, by the prophets, by His Son." Let's continue. "For the prophesy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" (II Peter 1:21). Here we see "God" who "spake, by the prophets" in Hebrews 1:1&2 is here speaking by "holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." Same God, same prophets, same Spirit. Again, let's continue; ". . . Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of grace that should come unto you: searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify . . . which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into" (I Peter 1:11,12). The " prophets" through which "God . . . spake" as they "were moved by the Holy Ghost" spake what "the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify." Peter continues to say that the preaching of this good news continues to come by the unction of the "Holy Ghost sent down from heaven," "Now the Lord [Jesus] is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty" (II Corinthians 3:17). In light of all this, I hope all could and would agree that when the Bible speaks of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ that it is the same Spirit. If so, then when Paul states that God was "justified in the Spirit," we should understand, it was the Holy Spirit of the "eternal, immortal, invisible, the ONLY wise God" Almighty that was "manifested in the flesh" of Jesus, (I Timothy 1:17; 3:16). See this thread The Invisible Man for a interesting little story. "Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gather the wind in his fist? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name? And what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?" (Proverbs 30:4). The above verse is a riddle that men have long sought to answer. In their search for the answer, neither men's own imagination, nor their adversary has failed to provide a variety of explanations to select from. However, we cannot afford to be wrong in our selection. We must be certain we "know in Whom" we believe (II Timothy 1:12). Fortunately, He Who has placed the question is also willing to answer it. Having been warned as Christians, we should "believe not every spirit [be it of man or angel]," but we are to "try the spirits whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world." Here's how we know those that are of God, "Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: and every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world" (I John 4:1-4). Now take a moment and consider the lasting effect of Jesus upon humanity. Now really, who but an ignorant fool would deny that a man named "Jesus" ever existed. Even historians who do not subscribe to the beliefs of Christianity readily acknowledge Jesus' existence. Even many religions which oppose the Christian faith acknowledge the historical man named Jesus. A person with any intellect must, due to the over whelming evidence, must acknowledge that not only did such a man "come in the flesh," but that He died in the flesh as well! Nevertheless, these two truths are not what the Apostle John was talking about. The spirit of antichrist is not "anti-Jesus came in the flesh." NOR is it "anti-Jesus the subservient offspring of God come in the flesh." Amazingly, neither is the spirit of antichrist "anti- god." Quite the contrary, the Bible tells us this spirit of antichrist is really, to many people's surprise, "pro-god." It just is not "pro the true living God," instead it is "pro the existence of a god." See the Bible says that "that man of sin" will exalt himself "so that he AS GOD sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God" (II Thessalonians 2:2,4). Yet this he could not do IF people truly knew that Jesus Christ alone is God. Therefore, the spirit of antichrist is ANTI-TRUTH, or "Anti-Jesus/The Almighty God come in the flesh." Jesus said, "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many will come in My name, saying I am the Christ; and shall deceive many" (Matthew 24:4,5). These are men who will acknowledge both the life and death of Jesus, and openly admit that He was the foretold and promised deliverer that would come, the Christ. Yet their definition of the "Christ" is different from that of God's. Countless so-called Christian leaders nowadays deny the reality Jesus Christ was "The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father" come in the flesh (Isaiah 9:6). They readily admit He is the "Prince of Peace" of Isaiah 9:6, but not the Everlasting Father. "This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of christ hath not god. He that abideth in the doctrine if Christ, He hath BOTH the [Everlasting] Father and the Son" (II John 7, 9). Notice that the word "doctrine" in II John 9 is singular. John was not referring to the many doctrines or teachings given by Jesus. John was referring to that one singular doctrine which is the foundation of true Christianity. It is the teaching concerning "who Jesus is." The Bible calls this teaching the "Doctrine of Christ." God will not permit this doctrine to be changed. To do so will certainly have severe eternal consequences. Believe me. The Apostle warns us that "if any come unto you, and bring not THIS doctrine [but a different teaching of Whom Christ is], receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: for he that biddeth him God speed is a partaker of his evil deeds" (II John 10, 11). "Who is a liar but he that denieth Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son [are the selfsame]. Whosoever denieth the [isaiah 9:6] Son, the same hath not the [isaiah 9:6 Everlasting] Father: But He that acknowledgeth the Son hath the [Everlasting] Father also" (I John 2:22,23). WHY? Because "They" are the same person. THIS TRUTH IS HID to them that are lost. The god of this world HAS blinded their minds, "lest the glorious light of the gospel of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine unto them" (II Corinthians 4:3,4). GOD WAS JUSTIFIED? -- OF WHAT? It is my prayer that we could all now agree concerning this "Doctrine of Christ." For it is the "rock" upon which the true church must be founded. To be ignorant of this truth, or disbelieving, is to be blinded to the true light of the glory of God (II Corinthians 4:36). Perhaps now is a good time to consider just what the word "justified" means. In I Timothy 3:16 the Greek word translated "Justified" is "dikaioo," which comes from the root word "dikaios." Let's look at their definitions; Dikaios - equitable (in character or act); by implication, innocent, holy (absolutely or relatively): just, meet, right (eous). Dikaioo - to render (i.e. show or regard as) just or innocent. Webster tells us to be justified is to be shown just, right, and to have functioned in accord with good reason. To be freed from blame; declared guiltless; acquitted; absolved. By these definitions we could easily say, "to be justified is to be vindicated of false accusation by the revealed, proven and witnessed (seen) facts." So then, what was the accusation? By whom? The first recorded accusation in the Bible was against God. What happened? Well, there Eve was one day when the serpent asked her, "Has God said you should not eat of every tree in the garden?" Eve's reply was, "We may eat the fruit of every tree in the garden; except the tree in the middle of the garden, God said, you shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die." And the serpent said unto Eve, "You shall not surely die: for God knows that in the day you eat it your eyes shall be open, ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil" (Genesis 3:1-24). Here we see the devil, via the serpent, claiming God to be a liar, saying, "You shall not surely die." Satan then implies that selfishness is the reason God does not want Adam and Eve to eat of the tree. Satan concludes that God doesn't want any other gods around, "God knows . . . ye shall be as gods" (Genesis 3:5). Satan basically accused God of being a lover of self, and if selfish, than God must be a sinner as well. It was this manner of sin that provoked God to not spare "the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgement" (II Peter 2:4). For this manner of sin there can be no forgiveness. "Whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come" (Matthew 10:25). We know Satan's accusations are false and by them we can see both his jealousy and hatred toward God. Interestingly, scriptures show that the incident in the garden was not the first time Satan accused God of greedily hoarding the throne. This we'll see as we look at the devil's beginning. THE DEVIL'S BEGINNING The Apostle John said, "The devil sinneth from the beginning" (I John 3:8). The beginning of what? From the beginning of his negative conversion. What does that mean? Well, let's look at those texts of scripture the Bible offers us for insight into his former state. "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God . . . Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God: thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in all thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity wast found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise [covetousness] they have filled the midst if thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, 0 covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings that they may behold thee" (Ezekiel 28:13-17). "How thou art fallen from heaven, 0 Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thy heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High. Yet thou shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit" (Isaiah 14:12-15). Now some have rejected the idea that these two passages have anything to do with the devil. They say Ezekiel was specifically speaking of, and to, the king of Tyrus, and only the king of Tyrus. However the king of Tyrus was never "in Eden the garden of God," nor was he ever an "anointed cherub." Certainly, the king of Tyrus was born and not "created." Some regard Isaiah's prophesy as merely a prophesy against the king of Babylon. Yet Isaiah, as did Ezekiel, spoke by the same Holy Spirit for our benefit (I Corinthians 14:3-5). These two prophesies focused upon these two earthy kings upon because they, like Satan, exalted themselves beyond their realm. While these prophesies focused upon these kings personal sins, Satan's sin was the true focal point of the word. Yes, Ezekiel and Isaiah both, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, recorded the fall of the anointed cherub that we might have insight into the beginning of all sin -- SELF-esteem. This is why Paul told Timothy not to place a novice, one young in the faith, into a position of leadership, "Lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil" (I Timothy 3:6). Not that the devil would not condemn the novice, God alone is the one who condemns sinners. Rather, just as Satan was condemned for his pride, so would be the novice. For from the beginning "pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18). Both the king of Tyrus and the king of Babylon had displayed attributes which originated in Satan, the ultimate chief of sinners. As it happened with Satan, their positions and wealth seduced them too. God had permitted them positions of honor and therefore they thought they were something special, when in reality they were nothing. The deceitfulness of sin caught them. Their positions and power came not of themselves. God gave it to them. Therefore their posture should have been one of humility and thankfulness, not pride. Look at Ezekiel's and Isaiah's account of the devil's heart. "Thine heart was lifted up because of thine beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness" (Ezekiel 28:17). "For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend unto heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit upon the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the clouds: I will be like the Most High" (Isaiah 14:13,14). Here we can see the progression of SELF-esteem. First, it caused Satan to separate himself from the rest of God's angelic beings saying, "I will exalt my throne above the stars of God." The "stars" are symbolic of angels, see Revelation 12:4,7. Not being satisfied with being above his peers he says, "I will be like the Most High." Mesmerized by his own beauty, Satan felt he was entitled to the same admiration and praise as God, the Creator of that beauty. God is worthy of more glory "inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house" (Hebrews 3:3). Self-esteem will always lead to the same end, humiliation and destruction. Sure, like many sins in their early stages, it can make one feel good, but only temporarily. Therefore, because of his SELF-esteem, Satan had corrupted his wisdom and forfeited both his position with God and his beauty. Any beauty he now has is only an illusion. Satan had sought to honor himself instead of his Creator and was therefore condemned, (Romans 1:25). "I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thy iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire in the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be anymore" (Ezekiel 28:17-19). "Yet shalt thou be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, is this the man [devil] that did shake kingdoms; that made all the world a wilderness, and destroyeth the cities thereof; that openeth not the house of his prisoners" (Isaiah 14:15-17). DEVILS IN HEAVEN In these verses God had obviously not only judged (made an accurate assessment of) Satan's heart, but condemned (sentenced) him as well. Therefore, the questions arise -
  18. Who is Jesus? That is the question I have been looking in to the past few days. My salvation and the salvation of every single person on this planet rest on this very matter. It is our faith in Christ and who he is and that he died for our sins and was resurrected that is the back bone of our faith. Yet answering this question is not a simple as one might think. This brings me to the reason for this post. I came across two articles if you will that both go in to this very subject of who Christ is. Both of these articles are very well written and thought out, they are also backed up by scripture which only further complicate this subject matter. The first article was written by Blindseeker who posted this on the worthy boards and was kind enough to point me to it. In his article (which I will post) he says that Christ was God made flesh. He very elegantly backs this up with scripture. After reading his article one can
  19. First let me start off by thanking Blindseeker for sending me to your post it was very very helpful. Second let me say that this is very hard concept to wrap my mind around, not that I don't believe it but wrapping my brain around it fully is rather difficult to do. One thing I know is that after reading through the post Blindseeker posted I realized that I love God even more. I think that the most gripping aspect to what I have learned is that God humbled him self by becoming a Man and serving use mere humans and then to die for our sins there by proving that Satan was wrong about him. To me that is the most amazing aspect of what I have learn. This is our creator, the one who created the Angels them selves and shouldn't have to prove anything, he could snuff everything out and be done with it and yet he choose not to. He choose to prove himself not in words but in action. I have always struggled with God, I have even hated him and blamed him for all my problems. It took me a long time to realize that my problems were by other human hands or by my own. It took me a long time to realize how blessed my life was and how God has always been there for me even when I spit in his face, lied and basically made some of the same accusations that Satan made and yet he still loved me and was there for me. I have sense woken up but to build a relationship with God after allowing so much darkness in to my life (and that is what it really is, darkness. I allowed Satan to consume my thoughts with anger and hate till I couldn't see straight) has been very difficult. There so much I don't know and understand. I know that I want to serve God, and that I want to obey him. However the times often feel like I'm off like I may be getting this all wrong. I think I'm not praying right or because I mess up and make the same sinful mistakes over and over that I'm not learn. These things leave me frustrated and doubting myself and if I'm doing this right. It is really hard to really explain what is going on in my heart because I really don't understand myself. I only know I want to serve God, I want to obey him and love him. I want to learn what I need to. I have come to realize that I need him so very much, not because of what he can do for me but because I know I can't change with out him. When I look at my life I realize that when ever I follow my own desires, my own wants and ideas they lead me to ruin. Yet when ever I have followed God and not my own desires, which I will admit is very limited, he has never lead me astray. Right now I don't know if I'm on the right track or not. The only thing I do know is that I will continue to read the bible and put my faith in him and believe that he will get me were I need to be and more to the point he will get me to the point were he wants me to be. Any way I'm sorry I took this in a completely different direction then I meant to, I just got started and couldn't stop. I thank you for listen and beg you to forgive me for going off topic.
  20. So the last two days I been reading up on God/Jesus trying to figure out who he is exactly, because who I thought he was and who he really is are two different things. Now making sense of all this can be a bit confusing. So I decided to sit down and write down and write down what I have learn or think I have learned and then post it and that way I can be corrected if I am wrong about something. So let use begin shall we. Now at first I believed God and Jesus were two different personality, however I found out that I was wrong. I learned that Jesus was actually God made flesh and that he entered that flesh to come and teach use and to die for our sins. However this left me confused, how can Jesus pray to him self if in fact he truly is God. However as I have come to understand it that God is beyond time, he is every where at every point in time at the same time. So thus Jesus who was God made flesh prayed to the God who was every were and at every point in time at the same exact time. If that makes sense, lets just say I understand it in my head but explain is rather difficult. Now as I understand it this all came about because Satan basically walked up to the throne of God and made all sorts of accusations against him, and some of the angles sided with Satan. While other side with God. However God didn't want vengeance but wanted to basically prove a point, that Satan's accusations were a lie. So he made himself lower then the Angels and became a man, and then became a servant to the use mere mortals, by healing sick, preaching and what not, then he died allowed himself to be sacrificed even though he was completely innocent and had every right to fight back. Thus destroying Satan's accusations and lies once and for all and proving himself, which he shouldn't have had to do to begin with but did so because he is a loving God and wanted to prove that. That is what I have learned so far, I know that I still have a lot to learn and some of that maybe wrong. This is the reason why I'm posting this to get feed back and corrections if I am wrong about something. One thing I will admit is that all this is a lot to take in all at once. I don't denie that Christ is God, and that God basically lowered himself to save all mankind. However its hard to take that in all at once. I know I have a lot to learn and I so much want God to change my heart and mind to change me in to the person he wants me to be. I know I can only get there by studying the bible and by praying.
  21. So been doing some internet searching and what not about Jesus and him being God. Now here the thing, I first stand corrected Jesus is indeed God. However I don't fully understand that. I don't get why he prays to himself, why he calls himself the Son of God. All I know is I have so very much to learn.
  22. Let me explain something I never said that Christ was just a mere man, far from it but nor have I have read anything that leads me to believe he is God made flesh. Christ was given authority over all things by God, which Christ him self states many times in the bible. Having Authority is not the same thing as being God, it means that he has been given all the authority by God. (note I'm explain what I know and you guys can correct me, I have a lot to learn. There is so much to learn and understand. The only way to learn is by share what I know and then allowing others to set me straight or expand upon what I know. So do not think I claim to be an expert.) Mt 3:17 Here God himself calls Christ his son, and says he is well pleased with him. Now how can God be pleased with him self, that makes no sense. Also if Christ was God in flesh then why does he call him his son? Mt 9:4-6 Again here there is no suggestion on his Christ part to claim he is God, he says that he has been given Authority to forgive Sins. Here is a passage that if read wrong could sound like Christ declare himself to be God but in fact he's not. What this passage is saying is that Christ is not the Son of David but the Son of God. Think of it this way, a King is often times called Lord, but so is the prince, so it is with Christ. Christ is the Son of God, we call God Lord and so it only reasons that title would also extend to Christ as well, and that was what Christ was explaining. Many times in the bible Christ says My Father, if he is God why then does he call himself Father, that would make no sense and not to mention would only confuse people as to who Christ was. Here Christ falls to his knees and ask God if the task that is about to fall upon him be passed from his hands not by his choice but by Gods. Now if Christ were God why would he be asking himself to pass this task from himself, it makes no sense. I don't question that there is some deity rights to Christ but he is not God. God and Christ are two separate personality. Christ is not God but he is our Lord and Savior, and has been given full Authority by God to forgive use of our Sins. Now like said, I have a lot to learn and by no means claim to be an expert. I do believe in Christ as my Lord and Savior and that God has given him full authority to forgive use of our sins. I believe that Christ was more then a mere man, he was truly the Son of God. I believe that God loved use so much that he allowed Christ be sacrificed so that our sins could be forgiven. I know I have a lot to learn and I have no doubt that I will learn what I need to because I have faith in God, that he will teach me and guide me. It also doesn't hurt to have these forums to turn to. So please make corrections to what I have written I will listen and learn.
  23. As I pointed out I still have a lot to learn and freely admit this. Hence why I come here in the first place.
  24. The funny part is that Atheist want to use logic and Science to say that God does not exist, yet what they don't seem to understand is that the science and logic that they cling to so dearly was created by God. The other thing is the universe and all life it self is evidence of Gods existence in it self. Here is how, if I were to put a cake down and said this cake made it self, that no man nor machine made it an Atheist would laugh at my face and say I'm nuts, and they would be right. In order for that cake to be made it would have had to have an intelligent hand bring all the ingredients together at the right time and in the right way for that cake to be made. Thus is the same with the universe and all life, the universe started out very much the same way but in order for the universe and life to come about something had to have have brought it together and guided it along the way, it couldn't just create it self, that would be just plain silly. Now the bible talks about creation in Genesis but it never gives a blow by blow account for how God went about it. There several reason for this, the first it didn't matter how God did it, what mattered was that he did. The second reason is that even if he had documented it there is no way we would understand it even with all the knowledge we now have. Third reason giving humanity that knowledge would be dangerous, we only need to look at are world as it is now to see the kind of damage we could have done with that vast amount of knowledge. This is the reason why I believe there isn't a more detailed account of creation. However at the end of the day Science and Logic are Gods creation. I believe in my heart that we can find proof of Gods existence in one of two ways, one through just looking at the universe around use. The other is by looking at our own lives, God shows use time and time again not only proof of his existence but how much he loves use and wants to work in our lives. My belief is that greatest proof comes from our own person lives because that is how he touches use the most deeply. However to see this we must open our minds, hearts and soul to God and everything around use. That is my take on this subject. All I know is I feel sorry for any one who doesn't believe in God because they have no idea how much God loves them or even how great and awesome he truly is.
  25. Look I maybe new to all this but at the same time I know my way around the new testament and I have yet to see a scripture were Christ says he is God. He ask his disciples who the people thought he was, and then they told him a John the Baptist, Jeremiah, Elijah or even a prophet. Christ then ask them who they think he is and Peter simply says, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God." Christ tells Peter this comes from his Father in heaven, in short he confirms what Peter is saying. Now maybe there different terms for the term Son, but if Christ were equal to God, or was God he would have spelled that out very clearly. After Christ was Baptized by John God says "This is my Son, whom I love; With him I am well pleased." This one does not suggest they were equal to one another. It also does not suggest that Christ was God as some christian believe, how could God be pleased with himself, does that make sense. Now Christ does show that there is a deep connection and relationship between himself and God. Now this in no way takes away from who Christ was, he was the Son of the living God. He was sent here to bridge the Gap between use and God. He was sent here to teach use how to live our lives. He was sent here to die for our sins so that we wouldn't have to. The Laws exist for three reasons, the first is to give use right from wrong, the second reason is to point out our sins, and the third and final reason is to make use realize that we are incapable of full filling the law and thus turn to Christ for salvation. Christ was given full authority over heaven and hell, which is why we can only enter heaven through him, by believing in him and having faith in him. I have yet to see a scripture that says that Christ is God, and till I do I will continue to believe that Christ was the Son of God and that any one who believes Christ is God has put there belief in false teachings. However as I said I'm still new to this but I think the New Testament and Christ and Gods own words pretty much says it all. That's just my belief any way. I will be the first to submit to the fact that I am wrong if you can back it up by scripture.
