Poorspirit, Sometimes instead of forgiving letting go of the hurts and pains of the past we bury them deep down inside our hearts and minds. Your doing the right thing forgiving them who have hurt you...otherwise that bitterness will grow inside of you and it will seep out as anger or giving you low self esteem.... we all face challenges in life and we all have things that come against us. Just keep a good attitude. But know this, the struggles in life are giving you strength. I know God has promised if we will put our trust in Him, He will pay us back for all the unfair things that have happened to us. If it helps dont focus on your weaknesses; focus on your God. desi

I think if we are to strengthen our spiritual muscles and grow stronger, we must have attacks to resist. Trials test your faith and character so don't think its a big deal when you go through these tough times cause all through life you will be tested its just God's way of refining you. Its the tough times in life that we find out what we're really made of. The pressure exposes things that we need to deal with. You can pray, you can resist, you can do it all but its not going to do you any good. God is interested in changing you then He is changing the circumstances cause we can't run from everything thats hard in our lives. Maybe your praying for God to deliver you out of the negative situation and that is legitimate prayer but maybe your missing the point of why you were allowed to go through that trying time so I guess maybe look deep down in yourself and deal with the issues God is bringing to light.
