  1. I would say I am radical enough. I count my blessings, its such a great reminder sometimes even I get caught up in negativity I see around me and forget to count one by one my blessings from God, I never take anything for granted... 1. God in my life 2. My daughter and my almost 2 yr old grandson. 3. A bed to sleep in at night 4. my house 5. clothes and shoes. 6. my dog 7. my family and siblings. 8. friends 9. my car 10. a job that pays my bills. 11. my health 12. food in my pantry. 13. heat 14. my hobbies to express my creative art side. 15. fresh air and sunshine. 16. having a green thumb with growing a vegetable garden every spring.
  2. i was given a book to read on sex, purity and love. I guess parents back then didnt talk about sex. Looking back I felt my mother did a great job on me with it. She took me to church, even thou she didnt have all the answers she didnt really stress on it, she had my siblings to also take care of. We only had her for a very short time in life. And, I will say this I am no cookie cutter, nothing like the rest of the women my age, my morals and beliefs have always stayed part of me, I was never a problem child while growing up, never used drugs or alcohol. Didnt have sex until i was married at the age of 19. The only misconception about Men in general were not healthy ones. Therefore, when the one true guy i married was bringing my doubts and fears about men in general in to focus and causing me not to trust him. 6 months after marriage we were in a argument and he told me he slept with a prositute. So, here i was confused with men. I think some where along the line our fathers needed to be there and teach us about boys, and men, dating, respect. This is something can't really be taught but by actions and seeing how your dad relates to your mother, etc.
  3. usually in that case they let us work from home on our remote computers, and if power is out then we just take a snow day off.
  4. dear sister, i can see that being difficult in you, but you being radical will come sooner than you think. I see you growing in your walk. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be filled. luke 6:21. He is the bread of life.
  5. yes I remember you, welcome back to worthy.
  6. There are good and bad people from all races, and home wreckers from all race too. Were you associating this particular women with all Chinese women? As I look back and its almost 10 yrs now from the divorce. God dealt with my heart and it isn't about the any particular race, its about who loses themselves to the world, it could be with greed, lust, sex, money, booze, which ever the case. Broken families, alcoholics, someone was unhappy with what they had, it wasn't enough, more things out in the world enticed them. Everything is at a cost. A family that prays together stays together.
  7. There was a time I will admit I had a problem with a particular chinese woman she was the reason I divorced my husband, with God's grace I was able to forgive and move on.... and over all, I am fond of the chinese culture and the people.
  8. oh wow really, i will have to check it out, i always have songs i listen to and usually go to youtube, and other songs i just download on cd to listen in my car stereo.
  9. yes, 2 computers here, desktop and laptop, its a must cause sometimes I work from home and when i'm away from the office i have laptop.
  10. Have you looked into "focus on the family"? they usually have lots of info on children upbringing and marriage, etc. That is a great honor to be ask something like that, they must really admire your opinion and morals for them to ask of you to teach their young daughter of 10 yrs old on purity. I know that can lay pressure on you. Bless you for helping. I think the parents need to step up here and yes in a way they are asking for outside help in the church. Maybe they have alot of unsure questions to ask. Maybe they are busy with other things in their life. I do believe at 9 or 10 yrs old is a critical year for girls. I would start at what kind of personality the young girl has and go from there. And maybe go to a christain book store, we have one here nearby that I go to often, lots of study workbooks, and other resources, maybe ask them if they recommend any material for reading.
  11. As believers we sin every day ...in ways we don't always observe, sin with jealousy, condemning others, deceitfulness, lies, list goes on, but we repent and ask the Lord to forgive us. When we struggle we should pray for wisdom, for every problem we face is a need for wisdom. Knowing what to say, knowing what to do. As for non believers...they just sin and are clueless with the Word, they are wrapped up in the world.
  12. I really don't know many that use myspace any more, they are all on facebook. Youtube still in full swing, I don't see that changing much. Never heard of soundcloud.
  13. I hear you bopeep, but as I was recently reminded, God is bigger than all that, and He will not let any of us down;) God bless you, denise, ysic I am sorry that was not very encouraging.Oh yes,God is bigger than that.I do hope that you find that job that you want.I think that more employers should hire older people.Their is alot of advantages to that.I may be layed off the last of March.I am not looking forward to that. I got hit hard with real discouragement, your post here was fine BP, it is true that there is a lot of discrimination in this world. I know you didn't mean to discourage me:) I posted in the "women only" forum but no one home in there and I need to talk about what happened today, so rather than start another thread can you go take a look in there BP? Maybe give me some feedback? denise, ysic my prayers are with you celebratejesus.
  14. yea, a person can't live in sin and know Christ. Just give it all to Him. We can't change on our own. Only He can change you.
  15. oh wow...lol...this topic is going in all different directions than what I had hoped for it but i must say it does make for a good discussion. First of all, thank you for those who have responded, and no I do not think I am above worry, infact far from it. My answer to the question is.... we all get "busy" with life and sometimes crowd God out at times and by doing this can bring on worry and frustrations. As for being human, yes we are human and have feelings and concerns but God gave us His word and Jesus to tap in here with, does this set us apart from the non-believers? When we stay connected to God, we find the peace even through the storms of life. I am learning as well on here as most of you are. This thought came across my mind and I wanted to share it openly to see if we have the same views. blessings, desi
  16. I guess some people could have a hard time separating home life and work. Especially if they are lonely. I have no clue just making observation here.
  17. i know without a doubt would help out a charity with a large donation, help out some family and friends, go shopping, and invest the rest, I honestly would be scared to have that much money, be attracting all kinds of problems.
  18. Being in the spot light is rough i am sure, millions of people watching your every move.
  19. where was his mind at, is what i'm thinking.
  20. Lets discuss why christians are just as guilty with worry and anxiety as non-believers? any thoughts, care to share? I have my own thoughts on this but would like to see what others think.
  21. Amen sister, don't hold onto any offenses in your past life that will cause you to stumble in life with God. We all had to live and learn. We all mess up and we all need people. Love grows through communication. Blessed are the Peace Makers, settle it in your heart its ok to disagree.
  22. I agree and they came back to Jesus as a meal ticket, to be fed in the Now, and not listening to Him regarding as to the bread of life.
  23. But why didn't the Romans take the original copies. How did Paul use the postal system in prison. For example, if a Roman guard knew Paul was writing the original scripture why didn't that guard throw it away. How did Paul find a way to mail out scripture in prison. Was it illegal for a guard to throw away outgoing mail. Paul witnessed to the guards in prison. Paul had a loving soul about him and he wanted everyone to know Jesus....and the rest was in God's hands.
  24. I don't believe soul mate is biblical at all. It is definitely romanticized.
