Watching those old shows I always enjoyed being "chilled". Angelique and Barnabas were the "big guns" DS always brought out when the ratings began to slip.

Agreed Kari, Evil spirits, ghosts, demons, whatever you want to call them...all they want to do is bring fear into your life, and that is definately not God. They also want to give false hope and comfort. Ever hear of John Edwards the psychic? Kari, I agree. I do think there are supernatural happenings and such, but the source is not what many think it to be. Very interesting. Several years ago I had become interested in ghosts. This was before a mentor of mine steered me onto Christianity after I had related my experience. At the time I knew nothing of EVP, (Electronic Voice Phenomena), altho I had accidently recorded one. This was at a church I used to work at, and, incidently, this was before I got "back into" my Christian faith, tho I had never really taken more than the 1st. step, (praying the sinner's prayer). There was this unexplained voice on a tape recording I'd made at the church. A friend and co-worker had committed suicide at the church after learning of his wife's plans to divorce him. It was very strange but I didn't find out 'til sometime later that this was an EVP, and was supposedly the voice of a ghost. I believe God saw the dangerous path I was about to take and sent an "advisor", a mentor who witnessed to me and steered me away from that kind of pursuit. I had always been the kind of "odd" one in the family, being interested in ufos and such, as a kid growing up. I was the only one who watched shows like "The Twilight Zone", and, later, "Dark Shadows". Know I know better, (lol), and I'm still interested in that sort of thing, but only for the childhood memories I have of my errant divergence from the right path. As a kid there was always that "delicious" kind of fright with being "spooked" by that sort of stuff. My mentor, who I came to trust, told me that ghosts were demon impersonations. I hope this thread doesn't become "dead" because it seems everytime I post on a subject or thread , that's the last one and I feel like I've offended everyone and have been excommunicated. I certainly hope that I haven't offended anyone on Worthy Boards, either Christian believer, or skeptical non-believer. I'm still new to Christianity and there's a LOT I don't yet understand, so, I'm going to appear to be among the very worst of sinners at times, probably, but I want you all to know that I don't want to be and I don't want anyone sore at me.

You know, I've often wondered the same thing about myself. Does God have a use for me? When I'm able to brighten somebody's day just a little bit by taking the time to notice how they seem to be faring, if there is a percieved need I can meet, even if it's just a kind word or two and they respond with a smile of relief and joy, I feel like I have tremendous worth and I share their joy, with interest paid in massive quantities. Of course God loves you, values you, treasures you. Don't ever think otherwise.

Reminds me of someone who was gossiping to me at work... He said do you know so and so. I said yeah. He replied by shes a witch, shes rude, and I think shes cheating on her husband. I said looked up and said ok. What do you think I am going to do with that? Truth is, nothing. Its gossip, and if your a true christian its not your concern, Only God is our concern. It is written in scripture NO ONE knows when and how the end times will exactly come about only the Father, not even the Son. Heatherxoxoxox I thought that's what scripture had said about only the Father knowing, not even the Son.
