  1. God created ALL THINGS..... So the things you look to, in your belief system, were ALL made by HIM. Blessings~
  2. Hiya Wiccan, I join with my sister Cats in welcoming you to Worthy Boards I pray that you will enjoy your time here, that you'll have a blessed experience with our best friend Jesus and the rest of his family here at Worthy! As Cats told ya, Jesus is a true friend who will never let you down. He has a wonderful gift for you.. there are many here at Worthy who'd love to see you receive it! Blessings~
  3. Jesus loves a cheerful giver.... What good are tithes and offerings if they are given grudgingly? My thoughts are if a family is struggling with barely enough money to buy food, then, the Lord would have them use, what they have, for providing for themselves first! There are other ways to give, such as tithing your time! I believe the Lord would honor that just as much as giving money. Blessings~
  4. !! "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17
  5. Calamity.... you're too much!
  6. After what went on during the Clinton years in the White House, if the American people are going to excuse a president from actions, such as his were, elect him for a second term in office... then, the actions of today's politicians will be passed over as excusable by the general public! Seems to me, they (politicians) can say and do anything they want, to get what they want, and know that they can, because the public turns deaf ears to them! Thinking out loud again
  7. What-chuuu actin' so innocent about, Glad??

  10. Aww Mary, ... Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me and your feelings on it! Peace to you~
  11. THANK YOU One Way.... that is what I saw, and exactly what I was referring to!
  12. Somehow, I can't imagine Christ bursting into laughter during the reading of the Holy Scriptures. I will clarify for myself, I am not against "holy laughter" I am troubled by the how and when it is done. I recieve the scriptures you have quoted here, Mary. But it has nothing to do with a dry church, etc. It has to do with respect if the action is to be recieved the way God would want us to. And a time ................. a when......
  13. I thought it was said that the church was to conduct itself in a somewhat orderly/proper fashion. If you were hearing a sermon, i.e, - on Christ bringing some back to life etc., would it be appropriate to burst into laughter and disrupt others listening to this message of God being preached?
  14. Some folks in my church have exhibited "Holy Laughter" .... I don't know what to make of it myself. Does a group of people bursting into "Holy Laughter" in the middle of serious sermon seem appropriate? And for it to continue for many minutes? The actions from this group kinda bothered me, especially, because of the timing when this was happening. It almost seemed un-holy.
  15. Even John Hagee does not escape the chopping block... He too is associated with Word of Faith movement: http://www.myfortress.org/JohnHagee.html http://www.discernment.org/WOF.htm http://www.myfortress.org/WordofFaith.html
  16. I love to sing, but my voice has never been that good. When I sing, I am truly one who is making a joyful noise unto the Lord. I was in choir for some time and was the music secretary for our music director and church music department. Throughout my time in choir I have seen and heard many beautiful voices. Some were truly anointed, they were a blessing to our Lord as well as the choir and the rest of our church! But, some of these folks (who were blessed with singing talent), were definitely in it to be on stage! I am not being snooty here, because I was certainly no contender for any soloist part or lead singer (my voice wasn't good and I knew it). We had worship team leaders that were at the front of the main choir at the microphones and sometimes there would be conflict over who should be singing that Sunday (the competitors felt that they weren
