  1. ohhh and besides which there are many reputable christian charities out there.. one thing we look for is a low overhead so that your money goes directly to the aid of where it's intended. we currently are very involved with one such ministry that has no overhead actually; they choose to trust GOD to supply their needs, which this always has our number one vote. just a few additional thoughts to steer you in the right direction..
  2. Hi Thomass, My first suggestion to you would be to pray and ask God for direction in your giving and also that He would direct you to where you can be specifically involved, ie. hands-on connection, because this is obviously something that He is burdening you with to be directly involved. It's for all Believers to be involved in some way in helping the poor and downtrodden, financially for sure. It'll be exciting to see how and where He leads.. Hopefully you will keep us updated. God Bless You!
  3. neb this rocks! I bookmarked it to show my husband! tysm! i especially liked the breathing under water one because i have never snorkelled or such, and my other car is a spaceship.. as if.. i would drop dead at the thought of such speed at my age. lol thankyou!
  4. I want to say thankyou to all that have submitted posts thus far. I have read them and prayerfully considered their content. I'm not much closer than I was before to a satisfactory conclusion but I believe that will come with time and continuing to search/mine God's Word with the help of The Holy Spirit's illumination as I go along. Several correlating verses that settles it for me that He never gave up His divinity, only His right to act on it, are found in.. Col.1.19 - KJV- "For it pleased the Father that in Him (Christ) should all fulness dwell:" Col.2.9 - KJV - "For in Him (Christ) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily:" I wanted to respond to kross that He wasn't tempted without the adversary being present as found clearly in the temptation in the wilderness. I just noticed what you really said about that this a.m. (I also haven't figured out this partial quote thing in here. Sorry. It worked for me a few times but..) That He was tempted just like we are yet without sin is what The Bible says. To be tempted like we are He had to have felt the heat. He chose obedience to The Father's Will above all else is why He remained true. Anyway deeper down this trail we gooooo... tahnkyou, thankyou, thankyou.. blessings, blessings, blessings..
  5. Thankyou very much sister, I never would have even known this eclipse happened without this post. Much appreciated!!!
  6. Brother, earlier on you have had people say to you through this thread that this has really spoken to or touched their lives in some way, myself included. I understand that you are searching for answers but the main purpose for my posting a link with related Bible passages is so that you can search there and find a solid biblical foundation for what you feel has been given to you. We are called to test the spirits, that's precisley how it's done.. The Word will speak.. let it. God wants to hone this gift that He has given you so that you may have unwavering confidence when He speaks to you or through you. We are cheering you on because you are on the right track.. Don't dismiss it please. And please don't apologize for the prophetic.. it is sometimes a word through an ordinary person like you or I that God chooses to deliver through, albeit at times with fear and trepidation. I'm glad that you seem to accept what I had to say because I wondered if I was too harsh. May God Bless and please keep typing, ok?! Thanks. Much Love in Christ, Wanda aka Sweet~Lady
  7. Hi, here's a more settling biblical perspective on this question. The quotations are because I have a digital library on my computer that I am quoting from.. Q."How would you explain the innacuracy between Judas hanging himself in Mt.27.5 and "falling headlong burst open" in Ac.1.18." "it is merely a situation of different perspectives of the same event."
  8. I am glad you are being blessed by this. ummm.. did you guys take your discussion to pmland? I have been looking and hoping for further postings
  9. Mike, Thankyou so much for sharing that! There are so many pearls of wisdom that have been buried with saints that have gone on before.. wow, I wish you had been able to write that down also! Awesome! Thankyou! God Bless you!
  10. You opened the post with this above. Why aren't my replies adequate. His earthly pilgrimage and gave up his "godness" and didn't resume until after His baptism, when the Holy Spirit came upon Him. I agree with your husband in this debate. Ok good enough, thankyou. I did ask for Scripture at least two or more but nobody noticed that it seems .. I was just trying to figure out where you were coming from is all. But thanks.. the end. God Bless.
  11. Dear Solman, I will have to have time to pull up Scripture references other than what is clearly stated in Mt.3. 11-17 We are not called to philosophize Scripture but to rightly divide the Word. 2 Ti.2.15 and 2 Ti.3.16,17. I take full responsibility for placing my own thoughts/ musings instead of using the Word as the foundation in this instance from the beginning actually. It's a good wakeup call. Thankyou! My profuse apologies. Jesus came to fulfill all righteousness and He Himself says that He does nothing except that He always directly obeyed The Father in everything. Jn.5.19,30. I will trust that you will look up these references since I have to type them in by hand and I'm trying to save time and space. Thanks for your time and efforts. God Bless you!
  12. In a word.. no How can a Sinless, Spotless Lamb of God need spiritual cleansing? Or even renewing for that matter. It was a revelatory act as well as an enduement of power from on High that propelled Him fwd in the purpose to which he was called. I say this most respectfully but I'm trying to understand where you are coming from. Thankyou.
  13. Michael, Thankyou for your response but you didn't address my question about what you were saying in regards to "Christ having cleansed Himself at His baptism" to quote your earlier post. If you could clarify pls because I really only was looking for your explanation of that part. Thanks.
  14. Also Solman within the pages of Scripture we are given everything we need to know about Christ and things pertaining to life and godliness. I don't concern myself with what is not written. I have enough trouble trying to figure out what is ! But I must say that I immensely enjoy attempting to learn.. Thanks again for your input! Sorry I am a bit slow to respond. It didn't twig unttil this morning, lol. Ok so for you youngsters out there, it's an age thing
  15. The scriptures are just a portion of Christ's walk on earth. We do not know what was not recorded. In His full 33yrs on earth. But this scripture vs. 3 implies that God sent his son in the flesh to absorb the sins of the world at that time. Therefore, at his baptism with John, Christ also cleansed himself in the baptism with the Holy Spirit. So, I think you and you're husband are correct in this topic.
  16. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamen sister manie!!!!!!!!!!!! Another thought struck me later that since we are crucified with Christ according to Ga.2.20 and as humans we greatly benefit from visual reminders, at least I do... ( I need all the help I can get to remember and keep things in focus ) having a crucifix can be that visual aid for many of us that it's ALL ABOUT JESUS and without His Shed Blood we are condemned to a lost eternity. This is a great question I think, it opens our minds and enlarges our perspective!
  17. Colleen, That is the process that I am currently trying to get in step with. Thankyou so much. Truth be known, in this lady, it's one step fwd and two back but the reality is that I'm pressing in regardless! I have to have more of Him and less of me (preferrably none of me but then He created ME didn't He?). We are in this dance together, thick and thinner, PTL!!! Thanks again, came through loud and clear, very concise. Blessings!!!
  18. sweet i am so very proud of you and prouder to have u as a friend keep up the faith my sweet sister lv yr sis in christ manie awww manie I almost cried when I read this !!! Thankyou so much sister.. I love you too ..
  19. I'm the one in the middle, but it's the wrong color. Ha! Ha! okies dear darlene, now we know that you're not chinese??? you know the red and yellow, black and white, we are precious in His Sight! Thanks so much .. I needed a good belly laugh. This is so much fun isn't it..
  20. Perhaps Galatians 6.14 is in order here.. quoting from King Jimmy .. Ga. 6.14 -KJV - "But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ , by Whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world." Personally, I don't think believers meditate on this verse enough, myself included, neither do we fully realize it's implications for our daily walk. Point is, keep the cross in focus always.. keeping Jesus on it is a very painfully vivid reminder that it was you and I that nailed Him there!!! God bless you!
  21. Boy! You're quite vocal, aren't you?!! Hi Darlene, Hide it under a bushel. nooooooooooooooo, I'm gonna let it shine!!! bless you
