  1. Yeah, those two are seperate, although I admit I don't know much of what he's talking about. Im starting to study different cults, but scientology is the most recent issue within "internet culture." I think it is exciting to see so many people move like this.
  2. I feel the need to warn you guys about this cult, and to get your family members if they are non believers to not join this cult. In fact, it would be awesome if you could spread the word about this to people you know, because this topic is slowly coming into focal point. But in order to do this, people need to know more. Within Christianity, it is our duty to deliver the truth and to point out false prophets and frauds. I cant think of a better example than this cult. I will now give info about the cult: (these links are safe) http://youfoundthecard.com/ http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/...5,00.html?imw=Y Honestly, I hope that you read some of the information within. I know that it will take considerable research about the topic, but I would hope that some of you will look to what the truth is, attempt to understand it, and if you so choose take action. There are protests going on right now, and there are many people who are involved. We are protesting the tax exempt status in the church. They are known to harass critics, according to their fair game policy. It is not the belief that we are after, it is the chruch higher ups that we are trying to take down. This is a dangerous cult, and as christians, as fellow human beings, it is up to us to at least know and even act on the information we recieve. What do you guys think about all of this, do we have a obligation to react?
  3. *moves to get a new job Thats unbelieveable, it might not be the easiest job or the best job, but Ive had worse jobs making minimum wage. Injustice? possibly.
  4. Who exactly is going to pay for this? I don't believe that global warming is as serious as what many believe, but then again, we should still be taking care of the enviornmnet. But this comes at a cost that many will not be willing to pay. I would pay it, but they had better shape up the government soon, stop wasting money, and then I will possibly listen to what they have to say.
  5. I find this slightly hard to believe, but emotions are running high here in PA.
  6. don't hold your breath fellas... There is still the VP nomination, as well as cabinet positions.
  7. Interesting... I don't think that the american people will be convinced of this sort of thing without plenty of facts. Even so, I think emotions will take over much more of the population. I do believe that the new boost of favorable radical view for obama will be the major stoping block at this point for mccain, so he really need to focus on how to curb that.
  8. I know that this is probably not the prevailant view, but honestly... this is awful. How can someone reach a conclusion like that?
  9. Ive read some of the comments, but some things don't make sense. First off all, If there is a question between wether or not a deity or a human being wrote the gospel, I would definatly believe that a man wrote it. For me, I believe that it was ALL inspired, and even at that point, it is a pretty useless argument. Either way, It is still a product of God. To the argument that it is possible that the old testamant and the beginnings of the faith were man made - fabricated, I find it hard to believe that they would fabricate something this massive. It seems that all cultures attempted to at that point, we also know they attach themselves to a religion of some sort, more or less polytheistic, attaching themselves to Gods whom were affiliated with nature, or characteristics of a particular society. This was not the case with the God of the Jews, and with that idea, we also know that their God was more resiliant. There wasn't the (this god) is more powerful than (that god) there was just YHWH, who was their God. Why go through what they did if it wouldn't mean anything at the end? I don't see the conspiracy whatsoever. We can argue that point around, but I don't see how we can label it as such.
