I read many speculations as to why laws are not being enforced, but has Biden, Mayorkas or any top government official ever given a reason for not enforcing our laws? Even the current budget bill proposal where they want to allow lots of people into the USA, is there an official reason being given?

So, back to the unity of mind and spirit thought..... extinction vs extinction One group of people saying they want to extinguish another group of people and complain when the group they attack claim the same goal, to extinguish the group that attacked them. People want to eradicate Israel, but Israel is the bad guy for wanting to eradicate those who want to do the same to them.... confusing to me. Some are making the claim - yes, Hamas was wrong, but don't hurt them, they were just protesting their current life and blame Israel for it. I could care less what country, religion or culture you come from. The violation and debauchery of life is not good, it is evil and all Christians should understand that. I understand standing ones ground, and if you attack me I will defend myself, defend family, country, etcetera. But to mutilate, torture, profane the life of another, does not compute with me, and how some can claim another asked for it, is not good, but evil thinking. I can not fathom a person who claims to love the Lord expressing excuses for any who disrespect life. There are times when lives must be taken, but it should be done with respect and sorrow. I actually support capital punishment. If the penalty is known, and the person commits an act knowing the penalty is death, they made the choice to commit the act and receive the punishment. But debauchery, disrespecting life by mutilating, violating, torturing is by any degree a form of evil and should not be condoned or excused by any who Love the Lord. To stamp out unrighteousness may require death, but defilement should not be tolerated. I would guess there are many Christians who disagree.... and thus the question, where is our unity of mind and spirit? Maranatha!

Thank you all for the encouragement. Utopia is not going to be on this earth, we must endure and be patient. But I do wish as Christians our life and attitudes would reflect less of the world, and as a whole, as followers of Christ, the world would see a life style in us that gives hope and envy to others. As our lives do become more divergent from the world and we do live different from the majority... maybe we will become more united and be a positive witness and messenger of hope to others. but at the moment, I just see us Christians as not much different in our attitudes and behavior from the world..... and yes, all one can do is try to stay on the path and try not to worry about the path others seem to be on. Keep our own hearts in tune and walk as best we can. not sure I understand your point.... it would be nice not to fight or chastise over anything... the snide comments made about the type of spice used on a dish, or can't believe they brought that for a dish, or did not bring a dish and only a ??... the arguments over what color for the new carpet in the chapel or what songs to sing for the next service..... or did you see so and so park in the handy capped space... how dare they.... and on and on...... does any of it edify? yes all is human and so frequent... but trite and belittling to others.... it just gets old... if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything seems to be a lost idiom .... unity of mind and spirit - the big things we fight over as well ------ women in the church, homosexuality, tolerance of fornication, adultery, and on and on.... we as christians are not united .... we argue about what is sin, what is right and wrong... my point is ---- why has the Spirit not united us? Yes, I want us all to agree and be a happy in sync group of followers of Jesus, the reality is..... not going to happen on this current earth.... but I wish it would, and struggle with why the Spirit will not bring it about.

I love the Lord, but this is an area that I just have not been able to fully understand. As Christians, we do not have unity of mind or spirit. We fight and chastise each other over trite issues... because some don't see things as trite. And it's not the sprinkle or dunk baptism issue, it is that person is so whackey I can't stand them, or I wanted to start this ministry in the church but the board said no. It's the gossip, vitriol that takes place about the person who dresses wrong, has a sordid past, or who thinks different. I just keep thinking, if we are truly walking with the Spirit, why are we all still so harsh and unloving to others? I live in a housing complex with mostly elderly and most claim to be Christians but the animosity towards others regarding lawns, car parking, noise, etc just makes me shake my head. I see no love, compromise or unity of spirit. These people who have their bible study and pot lucks are cussing out other drivers on their way there, talking trash about other attendees and seeking harsh measures against people they don't like. These are not just a family, local issue, it is the same in the whole world and that is why we end up with corruption, wars, lawlessness etc. The claim of so many to being a believer falls short because the concept of Love your Neighbors does not register with most... the idea of others being of more importance than self is not practiced nor taught. Self is the idol of this world. People can not or will not put others first and I admit, I have to constantly ask... please God, strengthen my heart and love for my neighbor so that I can love them...... it is a hard task and never fully accomplished. I so wish once we turn our lives over to Christ, His spirit would truly take over and give us a unity of mind and love. I suppose we were warned, many will claim to know Jesus, but He will not know them. Maybe that was the big caveat, so many claim to love the lord, don't, and that is why there is no unity. But even the apostles did not see things the same and had disagreements..... I guess I am rambling, I am just tired of people strife and wish as Christians we could be of one mind... Maybe I really am just pro Borg... I want to be assimilated and all become of one mind.....

The brief does not nullify or make abortion illegal, it will put the issue back upon each state. Suspect the brief was leaked to rile the opposition prior to mid term elections with the hope of bringing the opposition out to vote. This is classic political posturing... big issue to spread anger and split the people.

I guess that is the big question, what movements are edifying? As believers, where should we if ever, take a stand?

In the time of Jesus, many wanted Jesus to be the king of the new Jewish nation. They were hoping for a national Jewish come back by throwing out the Romans. I guess I feel the same way towards the USA. I am old enough to have grown up under mostly Biblical values. Watching them fade away under current cultural changes makes me want to bring back the prayer in school, 10 commandments in courts, parks and schools, etc. Accepting that any concept of the USA being a Christian nation, being founded on christian principles, etc. Is not part of the current populace thinking, is heart rendering. Like those wishing for the Jewish nation comeback with Jesus being the king, I do wish the USA would go back to Biblical values, but wishing for it, and being realistic are not the same. It is just sad to watch not just the USA but the global denial of the gospel.

I was going to put in links to each of these issues but stopped, too many. The point is, social discrimination is happening and is being encouraged. The double standard is so obvious, it is making people cower and change what they are saying and doing. And that is the point, intimidation works. - Have you read about anyone being fired for going to a BLM march? - Any insurance companies dropping people because they were at a BLM event or wrote in support of BLM? - There are now many articles about people being fired for going to Trump rally. - AIG just told curt schlling they were dropping him because of his social media posts. He is pro trump and conservative. - Credit report companies years ago, said they were using social media information in determining credit scores. - Banks telling businesses they are no longer welcome at their banks, remember the old Operation Choke Point? It is still happening. - Companies and people being denied internet access because of their support of conservative views to include the POTUS. - No white male need apply for small business loan - how many past protesters have occupied and done damage in government buildings? BLM, Bret Kavanaugh protests, etc. But only this last one is creating such a drastic response. I think anyone who damages property should be prosecuted, I am just upset at the double standard, nothing done to those in the past, and all of a sudden the same as previous behavior is being spotlighted. Our social life, views and behaviors are impacting jobs, schooling, credit scores, access to information, etc. This is not good. We are being monitored and profiled and our lives are being manipulated based on the data collected. The data is then rated against some scale of arbitrary social acceptability. This is already happening, this is not something yet to come. John Kerry when interviewed a month or so ago about when he expected the great reset to happen answered, you will be surprised at how fast it will happen. I believe him. We are under totalitarian rule, we can no longer read, watch and speak without a threat. How much longer before just denying access to information escalates into physical restraint? So, what can we the little people do about it? I honestly don’t know. Protesting in mass? Supporting companies that are being violated by larger companies? i.e. Parlor vs Amazon, Twitter, etc. Prayer and the full body armor are available and should be fully used, but should we or can we be doing anything else? History gives us warnings, we have seen this type of thought and behavior suppression enforced previously. It has never resulted in a positive outcome. I struggle with how to react to what is obvious subversion of our society. Do I stand up and yell, run up and down the streets saying the sky is falling, protest outside government buildings? None of those options would have any benefit, so what to do? Does it help to know the tidal wave is coming and there is no place to run? Is it better to be an ostrich and stick my head in the sand? To be a Sgt Schultz in I know nothing, I know nothing? As a Christian, I understand the Lord’s plan is going to unfold. I can eat my popcorn and watch the world turn. But the other part of me wants to warn, change, oppose the bureaucracy that is coming. So I guess I write this as an appeal, what are your thoughts? When we look at history and what took place in China, Russia, Europe, other countries who are under totalitarian control, in their build up to oppression, was there anyway they could have avoided it? ok, I will answer my own question, I will say there was no way to avoid it. God's plan will be done. So I will limit my question to, is there any point in trying to reveal to others the oppression coming? It's the money. The USAF bears the brunt of the cost. There is always a priority issue in getting the funding for space. USAF wants planes, Army, Marines want manpower and ground weapons, navy wants ships.... Space gets what the others are willing to give up from their other priorities . All services need space operations, but when it comes to funding, it is a battle. Creating a separate space force will allow for constant funding, priorities, and expansion of capabilities. I think it's a good move. The politics of funding within the services currently keeps Space Operations at a disadvantage.

Maybe that's why Obama used Executive Orders instead of the legislative process.

just a thought: The USA seems content to just let the middle east go its own way. China and Russia may grow tired of all the mess and in a coordinated sweep.. go all the way to Israel. Seems like it would fit in with gog and magog coming south and from the east prophecy... just something to think about and watch... we certainly live in exciting times.
