  1. Now if they could have done that from nothing it might mean something. One day a man is going to stand up and say 'we have found the cure for all disease and man can now live 'forever', he will promise eternal life, putting himself in the place of Yeshua. Many will be fooled to think this is Messiah.
  2. Excellent point Onelight. We must remember the real issue here. ANY sexual activity outside the one man and one woman marriage is SIN period. Obviously this includes homosexuality AND prostitution. However, while we are very quick to condemn these acts, it also includes Adultery and Fornication, which some believers get caught up in and we are a lot slower to condemn these. There is no reason to get hung up on what a certain word means on this issue. ANY SEX OUTSIDE THE MARRIAGE BED IS SIN PERIOD. Was it a sin for Abraham to have a child with Hagar??? Wrong might not have been the best choice of words... Since it was 27 years after the covenant was made its my leaning that God gave Abraham the sign of circumcision as a way of showing him that it would be in Gods timing and in Gods ways that the Messiah would come. Not through Abrahams meddling by bringing forth a son by another woman but only through the means He set forth. Its another example of man taking Gods words and doing with them what they want, one of listening to anothers voice and not Gods. God loved Ishmael and promised to make him a great nation also but he was not the son of promise given to Sarah and Abraham. This circumcision thing has gotten way out of hand, it is not the sign of the covenant as many think, and the one thing that those influencers in Galatia had decided was the only sign into 'corporate' Israel. Sad how things get so twisted by mans hands. shalom, Mizz It was and wasn't, the idea that God promised a physical seed to Abraham but they decided to not wait on God and have one via someone else. God thought it was wrong and He brought in circumcision to show Abraham it was His timing and not anyone elses where and how the Messiah would be brought forth. Its a strange thing to read about how common men going to prostitutes and such things. Is there scripture showing where God thought it was wrong?
  3. Three times I begged the Lord to take this thing away from me; 9 but he told me, "My grace is enough for you, for my power is brought to perfection in weakness." Therefore, I am very happy to boast about my weaknesses, in order that the Messiah's power will rest upon me. 10 Yes, I am well pleased with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions and difficulties endured on behalf of the Messiah; for it is when I am weak that I am strong. Paul delights in his infirmities because he knows it is God alone who brings us out of our weaknesses, it is Messiah alone who gives and takes. When we are weak and call on Him and He helps us who is doing it all, not us only Him. We cannot do a thing on our own unless He strengthens us to do what He calls. When He does call us to action He is the one who gives us the ways and means to do so yet if we do not we are denying Him and His power. When we do ask for His help and do nothing we remain in our sins, He gives us the ways and means to do so. shalom, Mizz
  4. I have enjoyed his music for some time now, he is good!
  5. Its not a choice from what I have been told, the timeline will be on everyones personal page. If people go and look at mine its going to be very boring! I mostly post in closed private groups and well most of all my stuff is Yeshua orientated and anyone is welcome to read about Him.
  6. Salvation in the OT came from faith just as it does today, no law, no circumcision, no amount of anything anyone ever did then or now brought about salvation but faith. It was from and through faith that Abram believed and its through faith today that brings us into His salvation. If you think that Gods Spirit didnt rest on faithful in the OT then you have not read the books, David was filled with God's Spirit, Moses, Elijah, the prophets. True now all have the ablitity to have His Spirit indwelling them but it was there in the OT. It does seem you have a gnostic bent to your theology. shalom, Mizz
  7. I think Cobalt hit on the reasoning behind it all. Theres a concerted effort to make it the 'norm' of society, an agenda is behind this whole GLTB or whatever their name is these days. Here in the states its being taught as normal, as the way to be and little minds growing up who have a mom and dad sometimes think they are abnormal because they dont have two moms or dads. Thats pretty sick in my book. But your right sin is sin and its against God in all forms, but we just dont push sleeping around on ones spouse because theres not an organization or several of them who decide we all should do what and like it, make it legal in the eyes of the govts. of the world and put people in jails because they call adultery sinful or wrong. This whole world is upside down and perverted in so many ways! shalom, Mizz

  9. In many ways you are right some topics get beat to death and those here who have dealt with the topics get shaded as they go through them yet one more time. And yes we should take each persons true concerns and deal with them individually, hard to do when a person wants to do nothing but debate for the sake of just making their voice known on the subject. There are many who come here with an agenda to argue over certain things. Most do try and take the time to talk with a new person on the subject, often times they are directed to the older posts to save a bit of time but over all many still do take the time to talk to the person. We are not perfect in the way we always handle things but I must say Worthy is one of the best boards out there, other boards theres no real discussion just constant debate and arguments. shalom, Mizz
  10. Personally I think we need to change our own attitudes first its through us that His light shines. Remember also people are flesh and blood and will be prone to messing up sometimes often in fact, the body of believers are neither perfect or what we often think they should be. The word and idea of 'christianity' gets a rap these days for all kinds of things, often times I think we look for the negative instead of the positive simply because of bad press. I mean we get all kinds of people calling for some type of perfection and thats just not going to happen until He comes and changes us. We also can choose to sit in the pew or put ourselves out there within that body instead of complaining no one likes us or wants to be our friends, if after putting yourself out there and nothing happens find another body that does show His love and Spirit. I also echo Nebula's post sometimes we seem to think we need something and push ourselves to find that perfect mate or friend when its not our timing that is important but His. Prayer is always the best way to go, talk to Him give Him your concerns, your problems and needs as well as wants and then trust Him, thats what faith is all about trusting that He knows better than we do. shalom, Mizz
  11. During that time all things earthly revert back to the time before Christ while God deal with Israel--to the Law. How were people declared righteous before Christ? I suppose that is a possibility. . . and is actually the best explanation I have heard on this particular matter, so far. The law didnt declare anyone righteous, it was never meant as a tool of salvation. Its always been faith that brings us into a relationship with Him, not the Torah, nor any legal obedience to anything. Its only by His grace, through faith and through His Spirit that we are saved. God didnt give Abraham a covenant based on anything but faith, not even the 'sign' of circumcision was about salvation. Revert back to the time before Messiah? we are already there in most countries. How did God deal with Adam and Eve before Israel? how did God deal with Moses, Issac, Jacob, the 12 sons? By sending His Spirit, His Son, God is not going to take away His voice on this earth ever. God didn't declare anyone righteous by the Torah, Torah is instructions for daily living not for salvation. shalom, Mizz Mizz, the highlighted is what I thought Floatingaxe was taking about in her post. Did I miss something? What I got was that the two prophets and the 144 thousand were the only things Floatingaxe sees during the millennial reign and thats just not correct. We find the prophets are slain during one time period although I do agree that the 144 will be doing His work during the great trib, but I do not nor will ever agree that God will take His Spirit away during this time. If after all we are still here during this time and I think we are, will He take His Spirit from us also? And the idea that the Torah was there to bring anyone to salvation is wrong also, the law never declared anyone saved it points us to how we are to live our lives according to Him but never to bring salvation to anyone. shalom, Mizz
  12. When Yeshua comes back and Paul is not leading him what will you do? Paul was an apostle, not the Messiah, Paul went about and spoke Gods truths and not his own, Paul is not the shepard period. Paul went about speaking/teaching Gods word to others adding them into an already existing body of believers, Paul wrote letters about specific problems in specific assemblies, he wrote about the problems with the mystic influencers, he taught Gods words not his own. If you think Pauls words are greater than Yeshuas you are not a believer in the one and only God and His Son our Savior. Hate to put it so bluntly but thats the truth of the matter, Paul was a man, he will not be leading Gods army when Yeshua returns so if you are putting Pauls letters above Gods words you have a problem.
  13. Oh boy neighborhood kids! we have had just about every kind of situation in all the places we have lived, minus the live stock! lol Just talk to the kids like you would talk to your own, teach them what the animals like, to please not throw stuff over the walls cuz it makes the animals sick. If the kids are being mean about it all go and talk to the parents, dont accuse but ask. Most times talking and making friends is much easier than starting a feud! My next door neighbor, and we live in track homes the houses are really close, tried to start my house on fire twice, so glad she sobered up and got off the drugs she a nice person now. Theres some really good advice from everyone so do what makes you comfortable but try to do so with the Spirit leading you. shalom, Mizz
  14. I really like the CJB for reading. In the Messiah he chose us in love before the creation of the universe to be holy and without defect in his presence. He determined in advance that through Yeshua the Messiah we would be his sons - in keeping with his pleasure and purpose - so that we would bring him praise commensurate with the glory of the grace he gave us through the Beloved One. In union with him, through the shedding of his blood, we are set free - our sins are forgiven; this accords with the wealth of the grace he has lavished on us. In all his wisdom and insight he has made known to us his secret plan, which by his own will he designed beforehand in connection with the Messiah and will put into effect when the time is ripe - his plan to place everything in heaven and on earth under the Messiah's headship. Also in union with him we were given an inheritance, we who were picked in advance according to the purpose of the One who effects everything in keeping with the decision of his will, so that we who earlier had put our hope in the Messiah would bring him praise commensurate with his glory. Furthermore, you who heard the message of the truth, the Good News offering you deliverance, and put your trust in the Messiah were sealed by him with the promised Ruach HaKodesh, who guarantees our inheritance until we come into possession of it and thus bring him praise commensurate with his glory. God knew who would be faithful through all things, from the first to the last person who accepts Him before His set time is done. When we hear His truths and follow them we are sealed by His faithfulness and given an inheritance in His eternal kingdom.

  16. You really think breaking us is the only way to free us? That old cliche about not being able to see the light unless one hits the bottom is often true for many of us. I knew God, knew His son but had more doubts and questions than people around me had answers so I floated along in such a blissful agnostic state for so long that I needed to be broken in spirit in order to allow Gods voice to be heard. I often make the remarks that God used His hammer repeatedly in order to break my stubborn spirit and allow His to be heard. Parents must often make the hard choice to discipline their child in order to break bad behavior God is no different, He after all is our Father, Creator, Savior and sustainer of life. So yes sometimes breaking our will is the only way we can see Him and follow after Him. shalom, Mizz
  17. My pastors wife has the entire book of Psalms memorized but she has been reading through the book each new moon, every 30 days, for nearly 4 years. Its a really cool thing to be able to memorize scriptures, can you image having the entire bible memorized!

  19. Open your heart to Him, thats what I do. I dont have a set time to pray as some do but I talk to Him outloud, quietly and sometimes even silently when I dont know what to say or exactly how to say it. I dont really think theres a wrong way to pray unless ones asking for riches or trying to demand things from Him. He wants to be in your life, talk to Him about whats going on, tell Him your fears and concerns He will hear you. shalom, Mizz
  20. Yes God said that one day man would be so corrupt and so far from the Word of God that they would kill one another because they are evil and have no understanding and that includes all those who thought they were doing so in His name but were only following after anothers words. Pauls words never are taken above Gods nor Yeshuas who after all are one in the same. Paul is most often misunderstood if one doesnt take his word in content and context and also within the hebraic mindset because after all there men Yeshua called most often spoke in Hebrew and thought in Hebrew. The whole thing with the tree of knowledge of good and evil is all about listening to and believing in anothers word over Gods, something it seems you are doing here by taking Pauls words to mean something he didnt mean at all. There is only one gospel that belongs to Him, and yes I agree denominations have tried very hard to put their rules and such above His but hey that happens everywhere and throughout time, nothing new under the sun and all that.

    The OT Law, Today

If God instructions are no longer binding on us then its ok to do as we wish? No I don't think thats at all what He meant, He showed us how to rightly interpret His Torah, when we do anything out of love that is a fulfillment of the law. God said 'if you love me keep my commmandments' what are those commandments? The Sabbath law, the 4th commandment is given to us and governed by Messiah, it is not a commandment or a requirement to work 6 days just so you can take off one day. There would not be any commandment for sacrifice after His final one, but yet we still see Paul, Peter and the rest doing just that, do you suppose they didn't think His sacrifice was enough or were they following tradtions? Yes the law is binding on us today, or what is those commandments/Torah that is being written on your heart? There were 613 commandments given, some deal with priestly roles, some with sacrifice, some for woman and some for men and many others on how to govern the assembly. Its not a pick and choose but its what He puts upon your heart by Him. shalom, Mizz
  22. Paul did not move anyone to do anything, he spoke out against those who were telling the newly converted pagan gentiles that circumcision was the only way one could become part of corporate Israel, the only way to be saved. By adding man made laws negates the fact that it has always been and will always be Faith that brings us into the body of Messiah. We are to have a personal relationship with Him, that has never changed after all Abraham wasnt part of an assembly but certainly he was brought into salvation by His faith. Yet we also see a corporate body of Yeshua's, and when He returns there is but one bride not millions, we will be one body with one King and Savior with His set of instructions written on our hearts. Paul was not moving people away from the body but showing the freedom we have in Messiah not to get caught up in some idea that physically doing anything, nor through man made laws and practices, does salvation come. Being part of a fellowship is important believe me I know how that if at all possible one should meet with like minded people and come together to worship, praise and learn His truths. shalom, Mizz
  23. I could not get my SS disablity for a few reasons which made no sense whatsoever, the lawyer said that if I could get a dr to write that I was horribly depressed, on meds for some length of time that I cant remember that could have been attached to my claim and I would have gotten it. All because I needed to add depression to my list of autoimmunes. I could probably get my disablity now with obama in the office but I havent worked in over 10 years so I am told theres nothing to draw from nor have I earned anything during this time which according to the SSoffice I will not receive medicaid nor anything when I hit retirement age. I do so agree with what you wrote here. shalom, Mizz That isn't right. If you have worked at all, at any time, any money you paid into the system should be yours to draw off of when you are of retirement age. I don't know why our government thinks that that money suddenly belongs to them once it's paid in. The money you paid in belongs to you, no one else. I don't care if it's $500. You should get it back no matter how long you don't work. Keeping it is theft on the government's part. I agree. After I found out and called them I asked for my money back, I told them if they were not going to give my money to me when I reached retirement age or from disablity I wanted every penny back. They laughed and said to call when I reached retirement age and then they will see what they could do for me. I just keep praying He returns before that!
  24. These laws are meant for the ruling of a nation, a corporate nation, one scattered across the globe and awaiting Yeshua haMashiachs return when His rule of Torah will reign in all our hearts. We follow Gods Torah for instructions in how to walk with Him and with one another, we do so by the leading of His Spirit, not in the letter of the law but in the Spirit. We have laws within our nations the rule on murder, and all those things. But as I said when He returns He will set up His rule of law once again for the nations. And when He comes again those that have kept His commandments and most importantly walk in faith with Him will be changed and will serve with Him in His Kingdom.
