  1. The war in Iraq was waged to protect the American People. I find no biblical basis for the statement that all forms of violence is sin. When Christ threw the money changers out of the temple he did it using a whip. Was this an act of pacifism? If all violence was sin as you claim then Jesus would have sinned in forcibly removing the money changers from the temple. When Jesus returns it will be with all the armies of heaven behind him.{see revelations}. The saints will be with him as well, and they will be armored, and have weapons. Is this to make peace or to rage war? Jesus also said"that the kingdom of God suffers violence, and those that take it must take it by force" Why would the Lord use the term "by force", if the use of force was sin? In the book of second Chronicles God ordered Neco Pharaoh of Egypt to destroy the Philistines. Josiah the last righteous King of Judah, did not understand was happening and opposed Neco at Carchemesh, where his life was taken. Was God commanding Neco to sin in giving him his assignment? Saddam Husein made this statement before the US invaded Iraq."I am ancient Babylon reborn" Through the prophets of Israel God said that ancient Babylon would never rise again. Hussein took an open stance against the words of this biblical prophecy, and in doing so provoked the God of heaven. If God would have allowed Saddam Hussein to continue to do this, it would have given the whole world grounds to mock the Lord and his Holy word, and the final results would have been men turning from faith in Jesus Christ. In light of this God stirred up the U.S. to take down Saddam and his Bath party. Not only that but God in his wisdom left us a sign to verify what he did. This way Saddam Hussein was found in a whole, disoriented, and in a panic is in line with God old testament pattern of Judgment as written in the old testament. Basically the US was used as a tool use by God to pour out his wrath. {SEE DEUTERONOMY 28} . In the book of Daniel the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar was disciplined by God for his arrogance. God reduced him to the state of a wild beast, for eight years. After the end of this judgment Nebuchadnezzar had a grasp of this truth."the God of Heaven and Earth owns all the nations of the Earth and puts in charge whoever he wishes." The Lord sets up rulers, and takes them down. The fact that the US took out the leadership of a nation would suggest that God has to authorized this act, in order for Saddam to be taken out of power. In affect Christians as a whole ascribed the act of God to man simply because they do not know their God. The Church needs to repent for not seeking the Lord as we should. I the Church were truly seeking their God then they would be able discern what God does from what man does. Jesus also said "That their would be wars and rumors of wars increasing until he returns."Mathew 24 The war in Iraq is part of the fulfillment of this scripture. It does not matter who the president is there will be wars, because the word of Prophecy will come to pass. Visit My Website

  3. Whether he was a coward or not, it was the religious leaders who wanted Jesus dead. That's 100% true. But that desn't absolve Pilate of the sin of putting an innocent man to death when he knew perfectly well He was innocent. If a judge sentences your son to death knowing that he is innocent of the charges brought against him, because the judge fears the wrath of another or of others, would the fact that others were demanding the death of your son absolve the judge's guilt of your son's death? And it certainly doesn't absolve us of our responsibility - because it was because of our sin that He went to the cross in the first place. But Cobalt1959 is right - He laid His life down of Himself, for our sakes, praise Him. being molded When Pilate was struggling with handing Jesus over to be executed. Jesus told him," you would have not power over me unless it was given to you from above, therefore the one who handed me over to you has the greater sin." From the context of this passage it seem like Christ was giving Pilate the authorization to take his life.
  4. The sign that was nail on the top of the cross identifies the three powers that crucified Christ The sign said King of the Jews in each of these languages 1HEBREW- LANGUAGE OF RELIGION the religious leader wanted him dead because his teaching was in opposition to the religious order of things 2GREEK- LANGUAGE OF COMMERCE AND TRADE Jesus's teachings threatened to take away the wealth that came from the sellimg of Idol and the merchandizing of religion 3Latin- the language of law or politics The Roman government crucified him because it was asvantage to give into the poeple and make them happy. The Romans crusified Christ because they thought it would profit them. The Romans had the authority to release him outright, but did not exercize it So here are the three powers the Crucified Christ 1RELIGION 2 GREED 3 LAW AND POLITICS

  7. Revealtion of God in Jesus Christ by Mike Vargas 08-02-08 John 17:3 eternal life is to know the one and only true God and Jesus Christ whom he sent. He went to the Cross so that we may know our creator and walk in intimate fellowship with him. And that is impossible If God does not show himself to us in some manner. Simon Peter made a bold confession telling the Lord that he is the Christ the Son of the living God. Jesus' reply to Peter was this " Blessed are you Simon bar Jonah for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but my Father in heaven, and on this rock I will build my Church. " The rock that the Church is built on is God revealing himself to through Jesus Christ by his Holy Spirit. The scriptures themselves testify of Jesus Christ, This is according to the Lord's own assessment of the scriptures as recorded in the Gospel of John chapter 7. So any foundation based on the truth of the scripture is founded on the rock of the revelation of God in Jesus Christ. In the new testament we are encouraged to take hold of the in grafted Word, which is able to save our souls. This in grafted Word is Christ revealed to our hearts for Christ is the Word that sets us free from sin. The Bible also states that if we seek him with all our hearts that we will find him, and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. The Pharisees were diligent in there seeking the scripture for eternal life, but were blind to the fact that scriptures pointed to a person in whom eternal was to be found, that person being the Messiah Jesus Christ.
  8. Before one can hear the voice of God one must first quiet his own voice. What ever it is that you have been praying about is a very emotional thing for you, and are own emotions if they are strong enough can mute the voice of God speaking to our hearts. Take all your own feelings and emotions on the matter to the Cross and allow them to died there. In order to recieve God point of view we must dead to our own. Be patient sometimes it takes a while for the human heart to enter into a position were it can recieve from God. Be encouraged God is alwys willing to communicate his will to his children. Do not give, but pursue the matter in prayer, God honors this type of faith.
  9. God is beyond any human definition. All that we percieve of God in this life time is nothing more than the tip of the iceberg. I believe that there were apostles in the old testament. Moses may have stood in a dual office of apostle and prophet.
  10. I am Prophet-song, the screen name describes what I am you're a prphetic singer? I am a prophetic psalmist, and teacher
  11. You said volumes with this one phrase "IMHO anyone who hears the words should validate it with scripture - not just pastors and teachers." In the body of Christ there is a lack of Berean hunger for truth all saints need to search the scriptures to validate the authenticity of the Word being preached from the pulpits. You have shared here good wisdom that if followed will protect one from deception in these days of false teaching and false prophecy.
  12. The Spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. Understanding this opens the door to understanding prophets of the old testament. These verses from Isaiah gives us insight into the ministry of Christ. Isaiah 50:4-6The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know what to say to all these weary ones. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will. 5 The Sovereign Lord has spoken to me, and I have listened. I do not rebel or turn away. 6 I give my back to those who beat me and my cheeks to those who pull out my beard. I do not hide from shame, for they mock me and spit in my face. Verse six is a reference to the how the Romans beat the Lord prior to his crucifixion. The Spirit of Christ spoke through the prophet Isaiah gives us an eye witness account of what was going to transpire centuries later. In verse four the Lord gives us the source of his words of wisdom,
  13. I am Prophet-song, the screen name describes what I am
  14. I agree with this posting it is truth. I was just wanted to take a moment to make it clear that I am a Bible believing Christian, and I take the Bible as the ultimate standard of truth. We all should have a barean approach to prophecy, because we aught not to beleive every spirit, but test the spirits to see wether or not they are from God. This testing largely involves, comparing to the prophetic word with standard of the Word of God. If a prophetic word violates te principles of the Bible, or is mis applying the scriptures in any way it needs to be disregarded, it shuold be disregarded and considered not of God. I have seen prophetic Churches that tried to go solely on prophetic revelation with out being rooted and grounded in the written word, go into all sorts of error. These churches have done a lot of damage to the saints, and have turned many off to Christ. Over the past few years I have ministered to a few that came out of those Churches, badly scarred, and briused, the faith on the verge of being ship wrecked. I praise the Lord for those that the Lord has healed from those experience. There is the authentic prophetic, and there is a demonic forgery. The Bible is the main tool to descern between the two. In days of Jeremiah, the true prophetic message from the prophets were rejected, And the book of Jeremiah gives why. It was written in Jeremiah that the lying pen of the scribes handled the law falsely. So when the true word of the prophetic was declared, it was compared to an altered form of the Word of God causing them to reject the true Word and embrace the false message of the false prophets. I do not think that that is the case today the authentic written Word of God is readily avaliable, it is the responsibilty of every Christian today to dig into the the Word of God Themselves, so that they may be able to discern truth from falsehood. Some of the greatest blessings that I recieved in ministry of the Word came from those who always search the scriptures for the truth. And small children themselves see alot more than they are given credit for. We adults in the complication of are thinking have tendency to miss, the simple truths that children pick up so easily. The beautiful about God is that when we are willing to humble ourselves and confess that we need teaching of the scriptures, that he is so happy to provide it. so that we may know the truth and that truth being Jesus(yeshua). Baruch ashem adonai
  15. This is incorrect. The bible is the measure of prophecy, and any "divine authority" carried by a prophetic word is only there as the word agrees with the scriptures and is annointed by the Spirit. 2 Tim 3:14-17 (KJV) 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Peter 1:3-21 (KJV) According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; 14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me. 15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance. 16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. In that there is a "more sure word of prophecy", it follows that there must also be a "less sure word of prophecy". The only way we can truely know that God is speaking is that the words conform with the scriptures and the Holy Spirit bears witness also. Lots of troubles have come from following someone's "Thus saith the Lord..." when the Lord was not saying. Also, if it does not come to pass, it is not the Lord that said it. The Moses started the Bible, by writing the first five books. The Bible gives this testimony of itself, that all scriptures are inspired by the Spirit of God. So all the was given by divine inspiration, and it written soley by Prophets{old testament}, and Apostles{new testament}. Today Prophets and Apostle recieve thier messages in the same manner. So since both the scripture, and the messages of Apostles and Prophets both come by inspiration by the Holy Spirit they should not disagree with one another. If a prophetic or apostlic message is not in harmony with the scriptures, then it should not be regarded as from God. The five fold ministry has built into it a system of checks and balances. The Apostles and Prophets, receive Word from God, then Pastors, and teachers should be able validate it with scriptures. With the scripture taking precedent because it has been proven to be infalable record of what God has said. The written Word, and revelatory Word should always be in harmony, with each other.
  16. This was actually was written for a bi-gender audience. I wrote this off the cuff, just before going to a men's meeting. At the end I thought to my self, I get going to the men's meeting, and it came out in the article. I did not even know I did it until you mentioned it.
  17. I beieve that the gifts are still in affect today. There are many scriptures that back this up. The Gift and calling of God are without repentence. God gave gifts, to the body and the Lord is no indian giver. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. personally I have seen all the gifts in action so outside of scripture I say that I am a witness. God will not be mocked. I came from an occult back ground, and can tell you that occultist use demonic versusions of the gifts of the Spirits. If the authentic gifts of the Spirit were not in opperation today that would give the enemy plenty of room to boast, that the God of the Bible can not do what we can. God in his wisdom does not open doors that allow his enemies to boast like that. From my experience I have come to realize that those that reject the gifts of the Spirit also reject all other exressions of the supernatural. In other words they believe only in the here and now, what they can see, feel touch and make sence of in their human underestanding. Which causes me to wonder how they be saved through a faith in a man rising from the dead which is actually a supernatural event.
  18. The word interactive speaks volumes about God dealings with his people. A few months ago, the Lord broke my heart by showing me how much he wants to do in the lives of his people and how little we actually let him in. He has been showing me his love for his bride, and all I can say is that it is overwelming beyond human words to describe. Glory to God in the highest
  19. This article is what the Lord wrote on my heart some time ago. I took it off my personal website click here click hear for more The article is part of the blog of truth section. And please feel welcomed to check out the God in my life portion there it contains part of my personal testimony. I hope and pray that it blesses your heart.
  20. The peace of God that you mentioned speaks volumes in it's self and of it's self, that you have found his will in this matter. I pray that as you pursue this path that the will of the Father will continue to be revealed in ever increasing clearity to your heart, and mind.
  21. To understand the role of prophecy and prophets in the local churches it is of paramount importance to to understand the nature of prophecy itself. This verse in from Revelation 19 is a key to understanding the prophetic and prophets. At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me,
  22. I think the real issue hear, is weather it is your will or God's. All the Devil tries to do is to maminpulate our own natural desires and feellings. Our own feelings emotions and thoughts, most of the time is what distorts our ability to hear God's voice. I have found from my own experience with God, that in order to hear clearly what God is saying, I must first allow my own feelings and thoughts to be filtered out. This usually takes some time sitting before the thrown room of God, letting all my desires, and feelings to be crucified with Christ. I order to be filled with God's plan and purposes, I must be emptied of my own. Once my own will, plan, and feelings are dead, then I enter into position to recieve what I need from God. The Cross of Christ is God's avenue to put all things in sync with himself. As you go put the things of yourself to death through the Cross, you can then experience the resurection power of Christ in renewed thinking by the Spirit of regeneration. As you pour yourself out before him, he will cause the desire of your heart to line up with his will. The key to this whole thing is to give up your own way. Once the things of yourself are out of the way you will have know doubt what God's will is for. Finally do not be afraid to take a leap of faith. God honors faith. If your takes a leap of faith in the wrong direction, God will honor your faith and sets things right, bring you back to the right path. The Lord is always faithful to those who trust him. Never assume the will of God if there is unforgiveness in your heart toward anybody. Release all offense before you seek him. God Bless your seeking of his will. sincerely Mike
  23. I do not mean to be rude, but I feel that we are not yet premitted to know who the antichrist is yet. There are many Christians today who get so focused on discovering who antichrist that they lose focus on Jesus Christ. If we keep our focus on the Lord, he will prepare us for what ever the future holds. I believe that the league of ten nations that the antichrist is to rise out of is the European Union. The geographical location of the city of Babylon in Revelation would indicate Rome. The antichrist will try to set up his authority out of Rome Italy temporarily, but his ultimate goal is to rule from the temple mount in Jerusalem, to establish himself as a god. He is going to be a flashy dresser, and a smooth talker, backed by demon power. You may not yet be able to see his lying signs and wonders, because at the moment he is being hidden. The sign of the times indicate that he is already here, but more importantly than that is that the Time of Christ's return is also near, and it is the Lord that we must be ready for, the important thing for the bride of Christ at this time is to be prepared for the arrival of the bridegroom.
  24. Your post is the truth. The thing that cameto mind as I read your post was the principle of reaping and sowing. If we sow mercy to our fellow man will reap mercy from God. I we with hold mercy from our fellow man God will with hold mercy from us. God is totaly fair and we will reap what we sow.
