Arkansas woman to be banned from Walmart for racist remarks - what?
wingnut- replied to MorningGlory's topic in U.S. News
Because it wasn't just about what she was saying, but how she was behaving, causing a disturbance. I guess you won't understand if you don't see the video. Her actions are why they asked her to leave in my opinion, they are justifying it because of what she was saying which really isn't necessary. I guess because most rational people don't approve of what she said. Don't get worked up, it's not worth it to get upset over someone behaving poorly. And I still love ya sister, even if you call me a hypocrite. -
There is one seed, one body, one Spirit. Scripture does not support your claim.

I guess you didn't see the video about this, it was her actions that caused the disturbance. I don't condone what she said, nor do I agree with what she said. If I had my way no one would think or act in such a manner, but I have learned I don't always get my way, I'm over it. The ultimate goal is to silence the truth, and I will continue to stand up for liberty, regardless of how unpopular that is. I know you don't get it now, but one day you will, and when you see the truth silenced and places like churches and this forum silenced you will remember that someone told you it was coming. I rather enjoy discussing things with all of you, and would prefer to keep that going for as long as possible. God bless -

She was causing a disturbance, that is why they have the right to escort her from the store. Telling her she can never return because they don't like what she said is a violation of free speech, particularly since they don't inform people of their rules which they apparently make up as they go along. -

Well I didn't say I agree with her, the fact is, I am not an emotional person, which is why people that know me would find it so amusing that anyone would accuse me of being such. Well, I listen to my co-workers curse and yell at the bosses all the time, they don't get fired. I listen to people use all kinds of disturbing vulgarities when I go out to eat, and no one stops them. It wasn't always that way, everything changed when the law was changed allowing people to curse in public. I would prefer if people showed respect for others, as I do, but not everyone has the same moral compass. -

We already covered this, several times. This site has rules that everyone agrees to abide by when they first join, personally I have no problems with abiding by rules and regulations out of respect for authorities. Not everyone agrees with me on that, as I'm sure you have experienced in life. -

Lol, well, one of the complaints my ex wife had about me is that I am cold and indifferent, so I doubt anyone that knows me would agree with you on me being emotional, in fact they would probably laugh hysterically. I am not afraid of anything other than a few phobias, like birds flying in close proximity to my head or not being fond of heights. I am not afraid of what might happen because I know what is going to eventually happen. I see people paving the way for it with open arms, liberty will die to the sound of applause no doubt. As I also pointed out, here people can say anything at the work place, or in a restaurant, or anywhere else for that matter unless it is deemed a hate crime. Nothing to that effect has been taken to the courts as of yet, but it is only a matter of time until someone pushes the issue. If someone pushes the issue in your state they will most likely use the same argument that was used here in Michigan and win. Even if they lose at the state level it can be pursued at the federal level and would most likely succeed there, which is what the SC in Michigan decided would be the case. -

What I am trying to point out is this ladykay, and it is quite simple really. This world is controlled by the enemy, and taking away our freedom is the goal of that enemy, because it is this freedom which allows us to spread the gospel. It is clear in scripture that this will eventually change, a one world government and a one world religion is coming, it is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of fact. So when you start deciding what others can say because you find it offensive, you are in fact surrendering your own rights and ushering in what will come. If you don't believe that is true, you are going to find out sooner than later that you are wrong. Unfortunately one of the side effects of freedom is allowing things that you would spend a lifetime opposing to exist, when you restrict that you are shooting yourself in the foot. Try to set emotion aside and follow this out to its logical end, my argument is in defense of this site being able to exist so we can even have this discussion. God bless -

This site has clearly defined rules that everyone agrees to abide by when they join. But thanks to those who base their freedoms on emotion, one day this site will be shut down when the establishment decides that preaching the gospel is not allowed. -

I understand that, I work in a mall and we have walkers that come through our store as well, and no one cares because they are not disturbing anyone. As far as the KKK walking around with a shopping cart and spouting off their hate, one day they may just decide to push that button and see where it gets them. If they are not singling someone out then it would be difficult to say that they were guilty of a hate crime, and in that case they may well win the case by the letter of the law. The only obstruction they face is that their message is unpopular, just like what this woman said is unpopular, but that doesn't mean that they don't have the right to say it. So while everyone else will base their reaction on emotion rather than liberty, one day it is going to reach something you do care about being able to say, and it will all come back to you denying someone else their rights and thereby forfeiting your own. I understand why no one wants to hear this nonsense, I don't either, but it will come back to bite you, believe that. -

As I keep pointing out, the SCOTUS has already set a precedent that the law of the land overrules the rules of private institutions. What prevents the KKK from gathering in Walmart is that it is a place to shop, and if you are not there to shop you don't belong. This woman was there to shop and then lost her mind for reasons we don't really know. -

Walmart is a public place, and what limits the KKK from gathering inside Walmart to do so is the fact that Walmart is a place to shop, and if you are not there to shop then you don't belong there. -

A curse word can be any hurtful word spoken with the intent of harming another individual. It is the intent behind the word and not the actual word that makes it a curse word. The only word the bible singles out is the word "fool". It is not the word itself that is bad, but the manner in which it is spoken. -

Then please explain why groups like the KKK are permitted to still gather in public and speak their hateful message? -

You need to tell that to the Supreme Court of the United States then, because they have told private clubs that their membership restrictions violate the Constitution, they have told the Boy Scouts that their restrictions regarding leadership positions are violations of the Constitution, etc., etc. -

My view of what are curse words is derived from what the Holy Spirit convicts me of as being curse words, so yeah, it comes from within. -
Arkansas woman to be banned from Walmart for racist remarks - what?
wingnut- replied to MorningGlory's topic in U.S. News
Because if that happened here in Michigan the woman would have a case against Walmart for violating her freedom of speech, and if the woman pursues it in Arkansas she would have a case as well. The only exception would be if her speech was deemed a hate crime, which of course is a direct violation of the Constitution because it is clearly a law that abridges this freedom. And as I keep pointing out, the government has already injected themselves in the matter of private institutions and said that they cannot make rules that violate the rights of citizens or discriminate against any particular group as outlined by the Constitution, which is the law of the land. -

Ok, then I guess we didn't agree on the other thread lol. I think for myself, society is not my authority on anything. I'm not a moderator, I am a watchman. One of the purposes of a watchman is to review moderator actions to ensure that everyone is treated fairly under the terms and conditions of the site. Also to help assist in spreading the gospel message, to make myself available to any member that wishes to speak with someone privately. Here is a link below that outlines all of the purposes of a watchman and why the position was created. https://www.worthychristianforums.com/topic/14754-worthy-watchman/ So how is it just to enforce rules no one knows exist and are subject to change as the wind blows? -

Yes, although I wouldn't put it all on the reporters themselves, the editors are largely to blame as well. They use to be more particular in regards to fact checking, now not so much. -
The passage from II Thessalonians 2 goes like this. II Thessalonians 2 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. His coming and our gathering to Him, attached together again, and Paul saying not to be bothered by anyone saying they missed it because when He comes He will gather believers. II Thessalonians 2: 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, Don't be deceived, because that Day (being the Day He comes and gathers from the previous verses) won't happen until the great apostasy has happened, and the anti-christ is revealed. Meaning He isn't coming and gathering anyone before that, which at the very earliest puts it at the midway point of the 7 years. The other passages I posted tell us exactly when, so it isn't supposed to be a surprise. God bless

Lol, well ,that is an interesting breakdown, you kinda jump right over the part that says we who are alive and remain UNTIL the Coming of the Lord, will not precede those who are already deceased. There is nothing between there about an exit prior to this, nor will you find any instance of this event being spoken of that is not specific about it being at His coming. The best depiction of the "rapture" as some insist on calling it, is from Matthew 24. Matthew 24:40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. Again in this passage, it states that it is at His coming. And the very next verse attaches the symbol of the thief to it, which appears in Revelation 16. Revelation 16:15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” 16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. I am coming as a thief, in quotations. We know who is coming, and we know when, just prior to Armageddon. God bless

What the first amendment is stating is that Congress cannot restrict the freedom of speech, this freedom applies anywhere on American soil. About 10 years ago here in Michigan there was an incident involving a family. They took a weekend camping excursion along a popular river here. On their journey they were in close proximity to a group of young men that continually used profane and explicit language in their presence. They appealed to the young men to stop on account of their young children that were with them, but the young men refused and got even more vulgar in response. The couple complained to the DNR who fined the young men. The young men took their case all the way to the Supreme Court of Michigan (which by the way was majority conservative), and the young men won their case. The court stated that it was a violation of their 1st amendment right and a 130 year old law was wiped off the books, just like that. So now here in this state, one can use any kind of language they want in public, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. If you think it can't happen in your state just wait and see when the opportunity presents itself. Of course now the federal government has deemed certain words as hate crimes, but they don't apply to everyone equally. The establishment understands that you can't simply take freedom from people, not without a fight, but if you can get them to give it up themselves, the sky is the limit. People should be careful what they give away, eventually they are going to take something you don't want to give up and it will be too late. God bless -
I'll give you credit for at least saying what all the others infer, but unfortunately you are in for a big surprise. You should read over all the references from Paul or anyone else, they all say this will happen at His coming.

Why omit verse 15? I Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
