  1. Regarding not telling Wiccans the truth.... If your friends house was on fire and they were inside it but didn't know, wouldn't you tell them so they could get out before it was too late? Isn't that LOVE? Or was there just something about how the Christians did it that was self-righteous and condemning instead of offering the "good news"?
  2. When someone repents it is a change of mind towards God and sin. People will go to hell unless they repent. God does not allow us to worship Him and nature as Wiccans do. There is a right way and a wrong way to tell people this, though. (In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth 2 Tim 2:25) Lu 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Ac 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; (Romans 2:4-9) :oww:
  3. Suzanne, Primitive Baptists have a booklet with their beliefs. I visited one & read it & it was so different it was hard to believe it was even Baptist. You could call one, (or visit & pick one up) or maybe even search the web for something on Primitive Baptist beliefs. Until I read the booklet, I thought they were closer to mainstream Baptist beliefs. Tracey
  4. You could call the various denominations and ask doctrinally how they differ than the other Baptist faiths listed....sometimes even within a denomination, things vary...as in some may be more charismatic than others, conservative, formal, etc...
  5. Primitive Baptist doctrine is very different than other Baptist doctrine. They believe in predestination and do not mission work for that very reason...they believe all God has called & predestined will come to Him...there is other stuff, too, do not appear to believe salvation occurs at a specific point when you pray the sinners pray & mean it.... Independent Baptists are normally more legastic...hair a certain length, dresses all the time and at a certain length, sometimes no tv, etc I am Southern Baptist.
  6. When I first started reading the letter from that guy I thought you were telling us about your life....then I realized who the letter was from!
  7. The preacher does magic tricks as a way of introducing the gospel.
  8. I am not into celebrating the evil. Our church has a fall festival on/around Halloween for the community. We have games, candy, jumping things, rock climb, free hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn, etc. We also have a stage with gospel presentation through the preacher, a talking dummy doll, and the kids puppet team. We give them tracts and I am going to do faith bracelets with them in groups, present the gospel, and pray some may come to know Jesus. I have not done the faith bracelet thing before so please pray it all will go well and some may get saved or grow in their understanding of Jesus.
  9. I pray God will be working in her heart before you even get there!
  10. Yes, of course I have been hurt by those I have trusted, but God is faithful! He is who He says He is!
  11. Hey, Thanks for all the names everybody. I appreciate them! It is neat thinking of God and all His different names..... He is so worthy of all Praise! amazedbyhislove
  12. I was wondering if anyone knows all the Jehovah names and what they mean?
  13. Hmm......you could stick with witnessing to other females unless you really know God wants you to witness to a specific one do you think these males are genuinely converted or just enjoy talking about God with a female? my gift is evangelism, too One time I was bringing a number of middle school girls from lower income families to church. I would always try to reach out to their families. Well, I had two dads who wanted to come to church as well. But my husband does not come to church, and felt for appearances sake, and also because I didn't know how my husband would like it, that I better arrange other rides for the men. The mens intertest in going to church waned. They never came. I still think they are were seeking Jesus in some way, though.
  14. I believe you when you say no have no sexual feeling towards him whatsoever. I had a dream once about being in bed with a man (older and someone I did not even the slightest bit of physical attraction to) (being asleep and waking up) and the man being asleep and rolled over the other direction. I kept wondering in the dream "where is the wife?" ......in the dream I was so, so, tired and just wanted to go to sleep....I was in my own bed. I ended up getting out of bed & read & read my Bible for an hour or so....I was totally horrified why I would have such a dream. It happened several times. I really didn't know what the dream was saying at the time but feel now it was a warning from God to get away from this family. This man was a perfectionist and I believe compared me to his wife in other ways (not physical). I think the wife was jealous for some reason although I did nothing wrong. Job 33:14-17 (NIV) tells us God warns us in dreams: "For God does speak, now one way, now another--though man may not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn men from wrongdoing, and keep him from pride, " Do you think God could be warning you to stay away from the man? In Christ, amazedbyhislove
  15. Dear Dan, Do you really believe in your heart Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for you? What if you were actually there and saw Him in agony and watched His blood dripping down on you and it literally covered you and you knew it was all because of YOUR SINS? Could you keep on sinning purposefullly? Salvation is so easy......"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. " Romans 10:9-10 Turn to God and ask Him to grant you repentance. If you are sure of your salvation, fast and ask God to break any strongholds. Isaiah 58:6 speaks of fasting to .... " to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke" Claim the power of the blood of Jesus....ask him to seal every door to your heart with His blood and sing songs about His blood. I am praying for you. Love in Christ, Amazedbyhislove Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
