Guest LadyC Posted June 22, 2004 Share Posted June 22, 2004 LOL!!! ok, little known fact.... that probably everyone here already knows depo privera is a very common form of birth control now because it ceases ovulation... but ask any woman who's ever had depo shots and she'll tell you the real reason it's so effective is because it kills the libido... apparently many states have figured this out because sex offenders in prison are now often required to get depo shots. yep, bill could have used it!! Fortunately, as soon as it wears off (3 months), you return to your normal weight. I gained a whopping 20 lbs in less than a month but after it wore off, I lost the weight without effort. It somehow causes weight gain in a large number of women. That was back during the experimental stages; maybe they were able to correct that side effect later; I don't know.
