Active Christians need to be aware that they are being named by the Federal Government as being potential domestic terrorists. How do I know this? Life and Liberty Ministries has been specifically named by Homeland Security as being a terrorist threat in the recently released "2009 Virginia Terrorism Threat Assessment", produced by the Virginia Fusion Center. The Gospel and pro-life messages are perceived as dangerous to a government that hates and opposes Biblical Truth. We live in a day when you must be sure to seek out the truth before you quickly believe statements being made against fellow Christians. Lies about our Ministry are being spread through the government report and we have been characterized as being something that we are not. This is a similar tactic that is used against faithful Christians in Socialist nations were they have be slandered and labeled as criminals in an attempt to silence them. What will be LLM's response? We will continue to uncompromisingly stand for and spread YHWH's truth. Let hell and her minions rage. They're targeting everyone from the Black Panthers to Neo-Nazi Groups. They aren't target Christians specifically; that part is misleading. This is not anything new either; it's been going on for eight years with very little coverage. Time to take the hoods off these groups and let the light of day shine on them. RAW STORY has published the entirety of the 215 page report, available here in PDF format. From page 17: A wide variety of terror or extremist groups have links to [a highlighted area of Virginia]. This area not only has a diverse population due to the strong military presence, but it is also the site of several universities. While most of these universities are considered urban, two are designated as a Historically Black Colleges and Universities, while Regent University is a private, evangelical Christian institution. While the majority of individuals associated with educational institutions do not engage in activities of interest to the VFC, it is important to note that University-based students groups are recognized as a radicalization node for almost every type of extremist group. Special Interest Extremism .... Antiabortionist extremists pose a significant threat due to their willingness to take human life in the advancement of their cause. This is what the report said about L&L... There are at least two active anti-abortionist groups of interest to law enforcement headquartered in the Commonwealth, the Army of God and Life (Chesapeake) and Life & Liberty Ministries (Powhatan). There is no information that the latter group espouses violence; however, the group causes disturbances and can be confrontational during their demonstrations. Not really the same as calling them a Terrorist Threat. Then it goes on to have this footnote about them... Life & Liberty Ministries conducts tours throughout Virginia, whereby members engage in street ministry, leafleting, and the display of graphic materials. A protest at Longwood University in Farmville had a group of anarchists along with the anti-abortionist demonstrators. The statement that speaks of a "protest" at Longwood University is not true. I've read the report's comments on Life and Liberty Ministries and the report states that there is no real threat from them other than disturbances during demonstrations. There are Pro-life groups that are violent and encourage extreme violence - it doesn't identify your group in that category. I wouldn't call that terrorism. That is extreme - If you ever see the movie, "Romper Stomper" starring Russel Crowe - (I haven't, too violent) it's a real life story about skinheads in Australia - extremely violent and murderous, very frightening to think that kind of activity is going on right under our noses. I am so scarred by what happens each day in reality - I really do not watch anything that is violent or horrible.... there's too much of that for real.... I cannot take it.
