when is someone going to mention that Arabs need to compromise anything?

(answer: when the oil dries up)

A two state agreement involves a very clear compromise, an acceptance of the fact that most of pre 1948 Palestine is now Israel and that refugees and there descendants will never be able to return to their lands.

'Palestine' was a REGION, inhabited by nomads. There never was a country called Palestine and the Arabs didn't even want the land before Israel was reestablished there. The 'Palestinians' left voluntarily and were given the right of return by the Arab countries that THOUGHT they would win the war with Israel sixty years ago. Since Israel never promised them anything.....they have NO right of return. The land of Israel belongs to the Jews; and the mortgage was signed by God. :emot-highfive:

Something along the lines of . . . as long as he shuts up, he can do whatever he wants with his body position.

As to it being populated by nomads, well it contained cities and towns such as Jerusalem, Jaffa, Haifa, bethlehem, Lydda Nazareth, Jericho, Nablus, Ramla, Ramallah etc plus counless villages and farms all of whose inhabitants were non-nomadic and mostly Muslim and Christian Arabs

Much of what was "Palestinian" prior to the establishment of Israel was still Jewish.

The British mandate (better called the British betrayal) was under orders to create a Jewish nation from the land Palestine, and they renigged on that duty, gave 75% of it to the Arabs cut off access to Jews trying to flee Europe to "Palestine" and caused many Jews trying to escape Europe to die in the Holocaust. Britain was responsible, during the holocaust years, for causing millions of Jews in Europe to remain as fodder for Hitler's madness. That is simple historic fact.

There was prewar Nazi persecution of Jews, but the holocaust - the systematic planned destruction nof European Jews only started after the start of WW2. I don't see how the British would mid-war be in apoition to convince their mortal enemies to change their policies. Anyway the responsibility for that crime remains with the Nazi perpetuaators not with other parties.

A homeland within the territory but one that guarantted the rights of the non-Jewish population as is shown in the preamble of the mandating document

Whereas the Principal Allied Powers have also agreed that the Mandatory should be responsible for putting into effect the declaration originally made on November 2nd, 1917, by the Government of His Britannic Majesty, and adopted by the said Powers, in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, it being clearly understood that nothing should be done which might prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country

And much of it was Arab!

Israeli lands are for the Jews, given to them by God Himself. Whoever attempts to take the land will be destroyed, just as will anyone who tries to give it away. Ask Ariel Sharon about that. :laugh:
