This will also probably cause Israel to build the new temple - probably on the temple mount site causing a world outcry and the gathering of the nations against it.

I agree with the temple being built on the temple mount but disagree with causeing a world outcry. The temple being built will have the blessings of the antichrist because when it is finished he sit in the temple of God, showing himself to be God. We all know that the antichrist will rule the most powerful nation or group of nations on earth. So there will not be an outcry until mid week (3 1/2 years) of the seven year covenant that he will make with Israel.

70 x 7's

The time frame of all unfulfilled visionary prophecy is still future. All fulfilled prophecy has been fulfilled through the end of the 69th week of the 70 weeks of years decreed for national Israel. A week of years is the Jewish

Eze 38:10 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: It shall come to pass in that day, that things shall come into thy mind, and thou shalt devise an evil device:

Eze 38:11 and thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates;

Eze 38:12 to take the spoil and to take the prey; to turn thy hand against the waste places that are now inhabited, and against the people that are gathered out of the nations, that have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the middle of the earth

The war of Gog is fought for the riches of Israel. Israel has not been rich enough yet for the nations to desire the spoils of the land yet. The recent find of natural gas is just the first step in making Israel a rich nation, i think they will find lots of oil in a world greedy for oil.

Israel is the Lord's time piece

The beginning of the return of Israelites to the land of Israel from the nations in the 20th century is a prelude to the events of the time of the end of this present age reflected in the scope of Bible prophecy. [isaiah 11; Jeremiah 30; Ezekiel 36,37,38, 39; Daniel 9,12; Micah 4,5; Joel:2,3; Zechariah 12,13,14]

Israel's absence or presence in the land of Israel has a direct correlation with stopping and restarting the prophetic clock.

Israel today is positioned for the start of the beginning of the 70th week decreed for the nation by the Lord which will then run its course for a period of 7 years and culminate in His visible presence on the earth. [Daniel 9,12].

The Lord has maintained the Abrahamic covenant with Israel and will carry out His promises to the nation including the establishment of His earthly kingdom for 1,000 years. He will rule the earth from Jerusalem [Micah 4]

Abraham lived in Ur a province of ancient Babylonia which was the center of the Sumerian civilization. He was a descendant of Noah's son Shem and he recognized that there was only one true God. Babylonia's post flood culture was one of paganism.

Abraham is the father of modern Israel and most of the Arab nations that exist today. The southern Babylonians [sumerians] occupying the land of Shinar and the northern Babylonians [Assyrians] occupying the land of Magog are their ancestors. [Genesis 12:1-8]

The countries of modern day Iraq, northeastern Syria, eastern Turkey, and northwestern Iran include a large portion of both of these ancient areas. The inhabitants today are a mixture of Semitic, Hamitic, and Japhetic lineage [a majority are adherents of Islam today].

The Lord had already warned humanity about building their cities and the consequences of organizing to a level that would lead to self-determination and separation from His providence and direction. [Genesis 11:1-9]

This development had grown considerably by the time He called Abraham to leave the area and migrate to establish the land of Israel. [Genesis 10: 8-12]

His purpose was to separate a people for Himself who would be different from all of the rest of humanity [unbelieving nations of the Gentiles] by recognizing Him as the only true God and creator of the universe.

Israel would then be a witness to an unbelieving, unsaved world by their relationship to Him through their coming Messiah and King Jesus Christ.

Part of His purpose with Israel has been a success by producing the scriptures contained in the Bible through the nation's prophets, scribes, and apostles.

Israel is also the nation that the Lord came to for His mission on the cross and will be the nation that He will return to at the end of this present age.

Israel as a national people did not fulfill their part of the Lord's expectations and failed in their relationship with Him.

As a result He has subjected them to exist in the world without His providence and they have paid the price. Greater difficulties are scheduled at the end of this present age.

It is significant that the nation of Israel is existing as an independent political entity in the land of Israel today after many centuries of domination by the Gentiles and exile from their land.

The nation's continuous intransigence against the Lord's providence and direction has resulted in the loss of His personal guidance and revelation. Israel as a nation is still in this condition at the present time.

The Lord's long term preservation of Israel's national identity is specifically for His ultimate plans.....not Israel's self-generated nationalism.

The years following the reign of Israel's prominent kings David and his son Solomon included political division of the nation and subsequent invasion and assimilation of ten of the tribes of Israel by the Assyrians.

Successive dominance of a remnant part of the nation followed by the three Middle Eastern empires of neo-Babylon, Persia, and Grecia.

The neo-Babylonians conquered what was left of the remnant, took many captives, and relocated the population. It was under the rule of the next empire, Persia, that a remnant of Israel was allowed to return to the Land of Israel [445 B.C.].

This began the count down of the 70 weeks of years [490 literal years] decreed for the nation. 483 years have lapsed with one 7 year period yet to be experienced by Israel after their second return from the nations of the Gentiles to the land of Israel. [Daniel 9:24-27]

If the death and resurrection of Jesus occurred around 33 A.D. then the following calculation can be made. The time lapse would be 444 calendar years to the first century from 445 B.C. plus 33 additional years to equal 477 years.

The conversion factor for 360 day prophetic years can be calculated by dividing 365 by 360 which is 1.0138. Prophetic years are shorter so there are more of them included in the time frame of 477 calendar years.

There are 483.5826 [477 x 1.0138] prophetic years in the time frame. If one adjusts this result by leap year days, the final calculation is very close to 483 years [69 weeks of years].

Daniel's vision of the time frame allows for this amount of time to lapse after which the Messiah Prince would be cut off and have nothing.

The last segment of 7 years [1 week of years .... 1 heptad of 7 years]) is still yet future and requires Israel's return to the Land of Israel from the nations.

This final 7 years will include future prophetic events leading up to the visible return of Israel's Messiah who is Jesus Christ.

A remnant of Israel returned during the Persian Empire and were subjects of the next rulers of the Middle East. Attempts were made to regain independence from their Greek overlords, but with limited success.

Much difficulty was experienced as a result of the behavior of the Greek kings of the north who continuously imposed cultural and religious practices upon the remnant.

Similar conditions were experienced under Roman rule in the first century and the small Jewish remnant was eventually attacked, persecuted, killed, and scattered .... virtually removed from the land of Israel.

The end of the 69th week [483 years] decreed for Israel lapsed at the departure of Jesus from the earth [about 33 A.D.]. Subsequent Roman invasions are not included in the scope of Biblical prophecy as it relates to the time of the end.

Israel's current presence in the Land of Israel is a prelude to the beginning of the 70th week which will lead up to the coming of their Messiah a second time.

The nation will experience an unprecedented time of trouble ("Jacob's" trouble), but a believing remnant part will be rescued by the Lord at His second coming. [Jeremiah 30]

He will establish His literal Kingdom and rule over Israel and the world for 1,000 years. [Micah 4; Revelation 20]

Another satanically inspired human rebellion will occur at the end of His Kingdom which will result in the total destruction of the earth, its rebellious inhabitants, and the entire universe. [Revelation 20]

The Lord will then recondition the universe and the earth for eternity without imperfection. All evil will be eliminated including satan, the fallen angels, and all unsaved humans [Revelation 19; 20; 21].

I know that the regathering of Israel as a nation was prophetic. But what comes next in the timeline of prophetic events relating to Israel?

Is there something that we are waiting for or watching for, and if so...

(if you are a pre-trib) do you think this event will occur before the rapture?

(if you are post-trib) where in the post-trib timeline do you place this event?

Ta,

Andy

A New Temple on the temple mount.

Hi

Exact time lines are impossible to determine, but the most probable scenario is this: The nations of the world unite against Israel and Jerusalem. This could be (note could be) if Israel takes a shot at Iran as well as the so-called settlements issue. The wars of Ezekeil 38 39 and Is17 (Russian invasion of Israel and destruction of Damascus) are still ahead and both could be nuclear. Gaza still has further to go in terms of conflict.

It is in this climate that the Jews come to salvation on a large scale

Shalom

Joel Joseph

Not before there is a new temple on the temple mount.

This will also probably cause Israel to build the new temple - probably on the temple mount site causing a world outcry and the gathering of the nations against it.

NO that is not correct. The new temple will be built with the help of the antichrist who will be a world leader who will be representing many nations. The world will at first agree to the new temple. The antichrist will cause the world to turn on Israel after he breaks the seven years agreement he will have with them. He will break the agreement he has with Israel at the 3 1/2 year mark in the seven years.

We constantly hear of Arab radicals in the Middle East threatening to wipe Israel out, so it looks like to me this will escalate into an all out Arab confederacy outlined in Psalm 83 below against Israel; I also think this could occur very soon, and is in the prophetic future for Israel and anything could trigger it. Right now there's clashes with the arabs and Jews over the Temple Mount as Israel is becoming bolder in staking their claim and there's also the issue of Iran's nukes, which could also light the fuse. While I believe Israel would be successful in taking out Iran's nukes, it will also start a full blown regional Middle East War that will involve Isaiah 17:1. This war, Psalm 83, I believe refers to the "Palestinians" or Arab "refugees" who are really Jordanians, Hamas, Hezbol, Syria and my guess would be Iraq, and maybe even Egypt and Saudi Arabia, all of Israel's surrounding present day enemies, before it's all over.

Psalm 83

1Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

2For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

3They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

4They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

5For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

6The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

7Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

8Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

9Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

10Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

11Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

12Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

13O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

14As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

15So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

16Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

17Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

18That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

Blessings,

Nikki

From what you have put on this post I don't see anything about a war here. I do see that there is going to be a conspiracy against Israel and tha has actually already happened once with the Arab League and in 1967 the armies of the Arab League were destroyed by Israel. Starting at verse 9 the author(possibly Jahaziel) of the psalm is asking God to destroy the enemies of Israel and continues until the end. This Psalm does not speak of a war against Israel. But it does speak of the destruction of the enemies of Israel.

The Palestinian National Charter (the official policy document of the "Palestinian" Arabs):

Article 1: Palestine is the homeland of the Arab Palestinian people; it is an indivisible part of the Arab homeland, and the Palestinian people are an integral part of the Arab nation.

Article 19: The partition of Palestine in 1947 and the establishment of the state of Israel are entirely illegal, regardless of the passage of time, because they were contrary to the will of the Palestinian people and to their natural right in their homeland, and inconsistent with the principles embodied in the Charter of the United Nations, particularly the right to self-determination.

Article 20: The Balfour Declaration, the Mandate for Palestine, and everything that has been based upon them, are deemed null and void. Claims of historical or religious ties of Jews with Palestine are incompatible with the facts of history and the true conception of what constitutes statehood. Judaism, being a religion, is not an independent nationality. Nor do Jews constitute a single nation with an identity of its own; they are citizens of the states to which they belong.

Article 21: The Arab Palestinian people, expressing themselves by the armed Palestinian revolution, reject all solutions which are substitutes for the total liberation of Palestine and reject all proposals aiming at the liquidation of the Palestinian problem, or its internationalization.

THEY HAVE NEVER AMENDED THEIR CONSTITUTION - THEY WANT ALL ISRAEL, NOT JUST THE WEST BANK AND THE GAZA STRIP.

When Muslims talk about "Palestine" to the Western journalists, they pretend they mean the West Bank (which is actually Judea) and the Gaza Strip. But when they talk among one another about "the liberation of Palestine" from "Zionist occupation", they mean Israel + the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. THEY WILL NOT STOP OR GIVE UP UNTIL THEY ARE TOTALLY DEFEATED AND ANNIHILATED, because THEY WILL NOT STOP OR GIVE UP UNTIL THEY DEFEAT AND ANNIHILATE THEIR ENEMIES.

Article 6: The Jews who had normally resided in Palestine until the beginning of the Zionist invasion will be considered Palestinians.

They're talking about the Jewish immigration to Palestine which began in the late 1800's!!!!

Article 7: That there is a Palestinian community and that it has material, spiritual, and historical connection with Palestine are indisputable facts. It is a national duty to bring up individual Palestinians in an Arab revolutionary manner. All means of information and education must be adopted in order to acquaint the Palestinian with his country in the most profound manner, both spiritual and material, that is possible. He must be prepared for the armed struggle and ready to sacrifice his wealth and his life in order to win back his homeland and bring about its liberation.

Article 8: The phase in their history, through which the Palestinian people are now living, is that of national (watani) struggle for the liberation of Palestine. Thus the conflicts among the Palestinian national forces are secondary, and should be ended for the sake of the basic conflict that exists between the forces of Zionism and of imperialism on the one hand, and the Palestinian Arab people on the other. On this basis the Palestinian masses, regardless of whether they are residing in the national homeland or in diaspora (mahajir) constitute - both their organizations and the individuals - one national front working for the retrieval of Palestine and its liberation through armed struggle.

Article 9: Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine. This it is the overall strategy, not merely a tactical phase. The Palestinian Arab people assert their absolute determination and firm resolution to continue their armed struggle and to work for an armed popular revolution for the liberation of their country and their return to it . They also assert their right to normal life in Palestine and to exercise their right to self-determination and sovereignty over it.

IT GOES ON AND ON THROUGHOUT THE PALESTINIAN NATIONAL CHARTER.

They are mad dogs who have indoctrinate two generations to hate the Jews whose homeland the Palestinians are occupying (Yes-it's the other way around in the eyes of God).

All we have to do is to read Zechariah chapters 12-14 and we will all know how this is going to end.

Lekh

You go likh.
