Report: Kennedy Barred From Communion for Stance on Abortion

The Providence Journal reports on its Web site Sunday that Kennedy said in an interview that Bishop Thomas Tobin issued the order during discussions with the Democratic lawmaker, further escalating a simmering ideological dispute between the two men.

An abortion rights supporter is not a man of faith. Why should be receive communion from the church?

I agree, the Bishop is correct. But look at all the millions of people within the catholic church and professing Christians who voted for Obama knowing full well of his prior partial birth abortion stand, and still support this guy? Shouldn't they all be denied communion too?

No person that is engaged in willful sin or a supporter of such willful sin, should take communion. If their conscience allows it, there really is something wrong.
