Ok, well since I had my daughter (and maybe a little before that) I havent been to church. My walk hasn't been going so well and i just havent felt recently in my heart well, close to Jesus.

Please be at ease, my sister, have you ever read the "Footstep's in the Sand" poem:

Footsteps In The Sand

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:

one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him

he looked back, at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of his life

there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,

you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life

there is only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you,

During your times of trial and suffering,

when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

[nothing] ...shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39

Dear sister, one cannot have fellowship with the Lord unless we are daily reading his Word the Bible and praying. He desires to fellowship with you more that do you.

Be as ease, rest, and peace.

I will keep an eye on this thread.

You haven't felt close to Jesus because you are moving away from Him. He loves you and I think that the Holy Spirit is calling to you. Tell me, how did you come to know Jesus? You seem to have a love for Him and can feel Him tugging on your heart. Read the Gospel of John. There is a lot of love in that Gospel and it is a good place to start.

Nathele

Heavenly Father,

Please help this beautiful child of Yours to get back into fellowship with You. Let her feel Your love and open her eyes to Your guidance.

In Christ's name I pray

Amen

Don't live your Christian life by "feelings." Live by the Word of God. The Bible says God will never leave you nor forsake you. Reach out and take the hand that's been there the whole time.

Most of us have been through a dry season like you are experiencing, it happened to me a month or so ago, and I asked for prayer on Worthy, and with friends.

Well it's raining again :emot-highfive:

Lovely, soaking rain, and I am saturated!

See, I found out the difference between holding His hand, and He holding mine. He does not let go, but we often get tired and our hand slips. His grace is sufficient, but we need to live in it. I do this by immersing myself in church, home group and prayer meetings, and I go even when I feel "I really don't feel like it today", or "I have had a bad week, I am tired, I just want to chill out", or "reading my bible will be enough". Because that was not working for me.

Relax, He is waiting, he never went anywhere :emot-hug:

I will pray for you. Remember, you can sink so low that God's arms aren't long enough to reach you.

Here is a promise for you from the Bible.

Re:3:20: Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

You recognized you are away from the Lord. From your post it is evident you want to be in His presence else you would not be posting. It is evident that is a knock on the door of your heart and Lord is wanting you to welcome Him in. Open your Bible and hear what He has to say. A good place to start is John 1:1. Talk to Him as you read and then listen awhile.

Go to church. The Bible says faith comes by hearing...the Lord speaks through the preached word, too. The devil would love to rob us of our faith...stay in church, stay in the word and stay in prayer.

with the love of Christ, Jesussaves
