We are only asking why you would think He is not called God at all? Are you not the one to title your own song "Good God" ?? I'm not saying He is not called God at all. He's God with a capital G. The God He even calls himself the God. Not a god. God is His title just as Lord is His Title. Do you think that when people take God's name in vain, they are thinking of the Father of Jesus? I believe those people are diminishing a generic god as I don't believe God damns anybody. We each make our own personal choice to end up where we do. In short we can call God, God because that's what He is not who He is.

So much for God not making His presence known, huh Yep. I also think, that an immediate reaction to a bad situation is to sin, or to react in a bad way. Since the names of Mohammed and Buddha are totally meaningless, using their names in 'vain' is not a sin - and not really a 'bad reaction' to a bad situation. However, the name of Jesus is all powerful, and using his name as a reaction to anger or frustration, indeed IS a sin, therefore a natural reaction. I was under the impression that you didn't believe He is called God at all because you stated: however, I don't believe that "God" is actually His name. So you are saying that you don't believe God is His name or do you? Sorry, I'm confused. God is His title, not His name.

There are a couple of places in the Bible that calls Him Yah.

So you are saying that you don't believe God is His name or do you? Sorry, I'm confused. God is His title, not His name. Can you explain the difference in definition? The reason I ask this is because I thought the Power is in His name. Can you provide Scriptural support to your claim of "God is His title, not His name." Please don't mistake. I do not have a dogmatic attitude. Also, what denomination of churches do you go to? I strive to understand, not to challenge your beliefs. President Obama. Is President his name? Officer Stedanko. Is Officer his name? Exodus3: 13 Then Moses said to God, "If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?"14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'"15 God also said to Moses, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.16 Notice God refers to Himself as "THE GOD". I don't refer to myself as "the Gerioke"
