The GERMAN EMPIRES - PAST and FUTURE

More than 2000 Years of German History

The German empire can be traced back through the Bible to when Noah and his family disembarked from the ark. In actual history many articles have been written by well known world historians on the Middle East and European history. Many credits follow this article to people who have spent many years, some a lifetime, in documating history. You cannot ignore the facts that these people have found and proven beyond any possible doubt.

The Holy Roman Empire has risen and fallen 6 times over the past several thousand years. It is rapidly rising for the last time, and it will fall one more time. The Roman Catholic Church and the Empires of the German people over that time period are tied closely together. The ancestors of the German people and the Italian people go back much further than 2000 years as I will show in this article.

Much of the Bible is centered around the "prophetic beasts". The beasts are most pronounced in Daniel 2 and 7; and Revelation 13 and 17. Daniel describes the 4 future kingdoms, and history proves them to be the Chaldean Empire, Persian Empire, Greco- Macedonian Empire, and the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire (that is the Roman Catholic church) is tied very closely with the German Empires through much of both Bible prophecy and actual history.

In Daniel 2, God reveals to Daniel through a vision, the 4 empires mentioned and these will carry through until the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Daniel 7 it describes 4 beasts, one for each empire with emphasis on the forth, the Roman Empire, verse 7. This beast was much stronger and destroys many nations, the 10 horns, which represent 10 kings or nations. (DAN.7:7 can be picked up in REV.13:1.) In Verse 8 a little horn came up among them, and plucked out 3 of the first horns, so sometime in the future 3 nations or kingdoms will be removed from the New World Order of nations or be destroyed. (Pick this up in REV.13:3.) Verses 7 and 8 of Daniel are explained in verse 23 and 24. Notice in verse 24 it says 10 kingdoms that shall arise, meaning it is still yet future.

In the book of Revelation, Chaper 13 only discusses one beast, the last one, or the forth and final empire. This is because John lived during the Roman rule, and the other 3 kingdoms had already passed. The Roman empire existed from 31 B.C. until 476 A.D. when it was defeated. Three barbaric tribes then ruled in the area until 554 A.D. when Justinian restored the Roman Empire.

John in heaven, was shown a vision of the future, a beast riseing up from the sea having 7 heads and 10 horns REV.13:1. During the last 2000 years 10 kingdoms or empires have existed in that area of the world, 7 were dominated by the Roman Catholic religion. The beast was given power by the dragon (Devil) verse 2 and a deadly wound was healed in Verse 3. Exactly what this deadly wound is, is unknown. Some believe was when Justinian rooted out the 3 barbaric tribes in 554 A.D. Even though this took place after John seen the vision, I don't think this is it. Because in verse 5 it is clearly talking about the latter days, specifically the last 42 months just befor the return of Jesus. History shows that Rome with its close association with the Catholic church, the Catholic nations or Vatican have risen to power 6 times, fallen 6 times and are now rising for the seventh and last time as stated in prophecy.

The little horn in DAN.7:8 is Catholic Rome coming back into power under Justinian in 554 A.D. and can be picked up in REV.17:3. The woman sitting on the beast having power over the 7 heads and 10 horns. The church is often depicted in the Bible as a woman, in this case the Roman Catholic church. The rises and downfalls of the Roman Catholic empire is much like taking a drive into the mountains, you drive up for a while come over a crest and then down hill for a while followed by another up.REV.17:9, and in verse 10, "And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space." Therefor in John's time, 5 kings are fallen, 1 is, meaning the Roman empire in control at that time (number 6) and one is yet still to come.

As we look into history we will find that European Emperors or kings used a marriage of there kingdom and church to influence the people to do there bidding. This so called marriage or union has been bitter and bloody, at a cost of many millions of lives.

The Roman Empire was divided into seperate regions, Rome was the capital of the west while Constantinople was the capital of the east. By 476 A.D. Rome had been burned and sacked by the barbarian German tribes. The Romans named these fierce fighters Germani. Constantinople was powerless and so the Roman Empire was defeated. Daniel 2 refers to the two legs of iron, again a controversey, one the two above empires, the other one being the military power, the other leg one of religion. I believe it is the latter. The last empire is the 10 toes, whose feet and toes are a mixture of iron and clay. This means that iron mixed with clay will not last for too many years.

But Catholicism bounced back and by 554 A.D. was again dominate. At the request of Pope, Justinian moved his government from Constantinople to Rome and became a union of European nations under control of the Pope. Justinian died in 565 A.D. and the empire collapsed or kind of went down hill.

At about the same time the Franks became the first barbaric nation to embrace Catholicism, but this was for political gain and not for religious reasons. The Franks were mostly of German origin and used the church for expansion. The church needed the Franks for protection. During this time the map of Europe underwent many changes. Germany was divided into several smaller countries. Finally the Frankisk kingdom reached its peak of power under Charlemagne (Charles the Great). Much of Italy was occupied by the Lombards while Byzantium controlled the eastern region of the Roman empire.

Charlemagne with the approval of the papal throne would change that. At the request of Pope Loe III in 774 A.D., Charlemagne entered into Lombard (northern Italy), defeated it and united Italy for the first time in several centurys. In 799 A.D. he again came to the aid of the Pope, who was assaulted, beaten and thrown into prison. With the military backing of Charlemagne and the Frankish troops, the Pope was exonerated of any wrong doing and restored to his regency office. Charlemagne's regime was the First Reich.

The following year during a Christmas celebration, Charemagne while kneeling and praying in St. Peters Church, the Pope placed a crown upon his head, and pronounced him the seventy third emperor of the Forth World Empire. Even during the middle ages, scholars, theologians and even the Pope knew the Roman Empire was the forth kingdom, spoken of in Daniel as the two legs of iron. This is why they kept trying to revive it, as they knew there were only 4 empires.

With Charlemagne as king of the Franks, he was able to unite every German nation with one exception, the Saxons. (Not the same Saxons that invaded England). The Saxon's had a different religion and refused to accept Roman Catholicism. At one point he excuted 4500 Saxon prisoners which only made the Saxons even more angry. It took 30 years and 18 campaigns of putting them to the sword and torture. The sword, torture and murder was a trade mark of Charlemagne all in the name of the Roman Catholic Church.The Germans murdered every Saxon man women and child, totally wiping out this race of people. After his death his empire was short lived, but the methods and beliefs of a united Holy Roman Empire did not die and still does live on.

When this empire dissolved, the people on the western side of the empire eventually became known as French, while the German speaking people between the Rhine River and Slavic nations became known as Germany.

Next on the scene was Otto the Great who became the German king in 936 A.D. and was the first of a long line of German Emperors. The Pope bestowed the Imperial crown on Otto in 962 A.D. The German Emperors called themselves the 'Roman Emperors of the German Nation' for the next 800 years (until about 1736). Under Otto, a ruthless warrior and leader, he forcefully extended christanity by the sword. Under Otto they slowly aquired German nationalism, the 'imperial superior race'. As Otto conquered more new territories he planted German colonies in each. The German's slowly took pride in there German name and race. German emperors have at times been at odds with Catholic Popes, still it has stood the test of time in the quest of supremacy. German Emperors have always known that to achieve in there conquests of power they needed the Catholic church, while at the same time the papacy knew that it need conquering power of a dominate nation. Both have worked hand in hand.

Not every Emperor will be included in this article, however the main ones will be covered. After Otto his son and grandson followed the same paths. Both spent a good deal of time in Rome.

Next to come on the scene of any importance was Henry IV (1056- 1106 A.D.). Henry got excommunicated from the church. He was forced to spend 3 days outside the Popes castle in freezing weather until the pontiff came out and gave him forgiveness. Frederick Barbarossa (1152-1190 A.D.) made 6 military ventures into northern Italy over 15 years with his effort to keep the empire and church on the road to power and glory. Fredrick II (1212-1250) grandson of Fredrick believed the perfect govermnent was a totalitarian state. Fredrick II like all previous emperors considered himself to be religious and in 1224 he established a law which permitted burning anyone at the stake who did not conform to his religious believes. Pope Honorius III and Gregory IX who followed him thought this was a delightful law. After the death of Fredrick II the Roman empire again went down hill until a new leader to came forward. The Roman empire went leaderless for some time. Rudolf of Habsburg of Austria was crown king in 1273 in Aachen, as he was more concerned with the dynasty in Germany and Austria and was never crowned as emperor.

Not until the 15th century did the German kings again become dominate again. Fredrick V a Habsburg king of Germany was the next to be crowned by the Pope as the Holy Roman Emperor. The title was kept in the family until 1806 when the dynasty ended. The Habsburg produced 2 outstanding kings, MaximilianI (1493-1519) and Charles V (1519-1556). Maximilian began an international empire by arranging 2 marriages with the Spanish House of Castile and Aragon. One son Philip married Joanna, daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella. This brought the Spanish into a German/Spanish empire.

Charles a son of Philip and Joanna was crowned Charles V in 1520. He like Fredrick II believed the emperor ruled supreme. Under Charles V the Holy Roman Empire reached its peak. At the age of 19 Charles became king over both the Spanish and German nations, which also included Burgundy and Italy along with there overseas possessions. Not since Charemagne did a German emperor rule over such a vast territory. Befor his coronation in Aachen, Charles was asked the traditional questions by the elect of Cologne. Charles said "I will" and 10 years later he was crowned emperor in Rome by the Pope. This again kindled the strong binds between church and state. Although Charles was sworn to defend the Catholic church, he did try to mend a rift in the religious world sparked by Luther. Luther rebelled in 1517 and formed his own religion. The Luthers rejoined the Catholic church in the fall of 1999. Charles did however leave his mark with his persecutions of both the Jews and Arabs which are well documented, and he ascended to his height in power with the Spanish/Roman Inquisition in Europe.

After the death of Charles the Habsburg's things severed along the Spanish and Austrian lines.The Austrian Habsburg line continued to assume the title of "Roman Emperors of the German Nation", just as they had done for 500 years. The only difference being they no longer travelled to Rome to be crowned by the Pope. The Imperial office became hereditary to the Habsburg.

In 1776 a secret movement began called Illuminati. Over the years the name has been changed to the New World Order. More detail can be found at the New World Order article. It is also working under the name of New Age.

The power and might was again in decline. The Protestant reform movement weakened the Church of Rome. Power was also shifting to France.

Napoleon now assumes the power role and crushed the Habsburg empire, and it appeared on the surface, that the Holy Rome Empire would soon follow, again a major down hill slide. Napoleon grabbed the Emperor's crown from the Pope's hands and crowned himself in 1804. However this was a mere shift in power from German to French power. Napoleon carried out the ideals of Charlemagne, and just as previous German rulers, had visions of ruling the world, through the Vatican. French domination was short lived as he was defeated by the British and thrown into prison.

Germany again comes to the fore front with the first world war (1914-1918). The Kaiser orders war machines across borders. Germany was not well prepared for this war. New war machines such as tanks and the dreaded poison gas attacks, airplanes and submarines all used for the first time. Britain controlled all the major shipping lanes and hampered the movement of German ships.

Just 21 years later Germany will cause World War II.

In 1939 Germany again started a war that became known as World War II. The one thing that nations outside of Eastern Europe do not understand about the German people is that over the last 1000 years or so, the instinct to dominate, or to control, has never left them, they feel they are the Super Race of people.

During the early 1930's when Hitler came to power, Germany was totally bankrupt. He had to move fast to create jobs so as to stop the unrest. To do that he built war machiney, a lot of it, then built a huge army. Built pride into the people. But then what? If you don't put it to use or sell it, you have to lay people off again causing unrest.

Hitler believed he held super powers and intellect. Many many books have been written about Hitler and The Third Reich. I have listed some in References, there are probably many more.

Hitler with the aid of Mussolini (Italy) took over nearly all of Europe, North Africa and parts of the Middle East and most of Russia. It is believed Hitler never called the Third Reich the Holy Roman Empire, but it really was. He had in his possession the Orb of the Empire, the Imperial Crown and the Imperial Sword.

Japan in 1942 attacked Pearl Harbour and controlled most of the eastern land and sea area. The Vatician sat back and said nothing. The Devil was riding high in the saddle. Yes with much pressure from various countries the Vatician did get a few Jews out of the country, but not with any great fanfare.

By 1942 the German High Command knew they were going to probably loose the war. Plans were put into place for the Nazi faithfull to go underground or to leave the country. As the war was drawing to a close the Vatician smuggled hundreds of the High Military Command and S.S. commanders out of Europe, mostly to Argentina, and other countries in South America. Thousands went underground.

At the end of W.W.II every factory was smashed, cities were 80 - 90% destroyed, every bridge crossing the Rhine River destroyed, the country divided between East and West Germany, yet just a dozen years later, Germany was rebuilt without hardly a sign that just a few years earlier it was just rubble. In his book Brian Connell wrote, in the spring of 1947, "the vexed problem of DENAZIFICATION, which had been handled up to that time by the Allied authorities, was handed over to the Germans". Brian Connell wrote, using Bavaria as an example, said the German denazification was a farce, "Bavarian administration is largely in the hands of those who controlled it under Hitler". His research claimed, "Statistics show that 20,682 of the 49,445 civil servants belonged to the Nazi Party or its affiliates. A total of 14,443 of these were dismissed and later reinstated in the service. Almost all of the 11,000 teachers who were removed for political reasons have been reappointed, representing roughly 60% of the teaching staff employed by the Ministry of Education. Sixty percent of the 15,000 employees in the Finance Ministry are former Nazis, and 81% of the 924 judges, magistrates and prosecutors in the Ministry of Justice". In 1976 only 3 out of 217 Bundeswehr Generals were not Third Reich veterans and 37 military bases in the Bonn Republic were named after soldiers who made their reputations during Hitler's time.

In 1989 the Berlin wall came down and Russia went into termoil. By 1991 Germany had over 40,000 right wing extremists, with nearly 1,500 violent racist attacks. By 1992 the number of right wing extremists had risen to 65,000 with 2,100 attacks and 17 people killed.

In December 1991 Germany recognized the breakaway states of Slovenia and Croatia from Yugoslavia. This was much against the wishes of both the United Nations and NATO. Two months later both flip floped not wishing to go up against Germany's, Kohl. German marches to its own tune, not to the U.N.'s or NATO. This is what started the problems over there, the policies of Germany. President Milosevic well remembers the treatment from the Nazi regime during WW II. (I should state that I have no connections nor am related to anyone in this part of the world) Over 700,000 Serbs were murdered by the Third Reich with the help of the Slovenia and Croatian citizens. Between 1992 and 1994 the Germans sent $320,000,000 of military aid and weapons to Croatia. In 1995 Germany sent 4,000 combat troops to Croatia, plus transport planes loaded with support supplies. The German soldiers were often herd shouting Sieg Heil and Heil Hitler. Just one year ago, when the Serbs were looseing to the Croatians, Germany insisted that neither NATO or the United Nations were to interfere. Today with the Serbs winning what are we doing at the insistance of the Germany? Bombing, bombing and more bombing. What is it with Germany that other countries seen so timid and afraid to stand up to them? Why do we have to wait until it is too Late? Prophecy, clear and simple, we can not interefere with prophecy. This won't be an isolated insident by Germany, there will be more!

Anchient Germany From the Days of Noah

The Book of NAHUM is prophecy on Germany, past and future. Germany will in the future go down to a decisive defeat. The German people also were known as Nineveh and were the only people to repent at the urging of a prophet, MATT.12:41 The first mention of them in the Bible is GEN.12:11. They descended from Ham, verse 6, third son of Noah. They later became known as Chatti or Hittite. Chatti is a Hebrew word which comes from the word Hatti and means to terrify or make afraid. The descendants of Ham, the Canaanite Hittites were of darker skin and often fought with the Israelites. In history these are referred to as the "sons of Heth.", GEN.11:6, records the sons of Ham, one of them was Canaan. Heth is recorded as Canaans son in Verse 15. Take a look at verse 5 for a moment, where it says " every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations", meaning each of these families spoke a different language.

But where was another tribe also called Hatti or Chatti, the Assyrians a light skinned people, the "Kings of Hittites", refered to in 1.Kings.10:29 are a different tribe, likely in the area of Syria.This tribe lived west of the Euphrates river and covered all or most of Asia Minor. The Assyrians named these people Hittite. The Encycolpedia Britannica ( see Hittites) acknowleges this fact. The Assyrian Hittites or Chatti as they became known, is the tribe who came into conflict with Rome and were called Hessians and who descended from Asshur, verse 11, who descended from Shem, Noahs first son. The Encylopedia Britannia also states that "The earliest known inhabitants of the country (Germany) were the Chatti, who lived there during the first century A.D." Further more the Old High German spelling of Hesse is Hatti.

Dr. Hoeh suggests that after Alexander the Great conquered Asia, the darker skinned Canaanites Hittites, migrated northwest, crossed into North America and became the Chatti Indians of the central plains where the settlers of the west found them.

The Germans refere to themselves as Deutsch and there homeland as Deutschland. It was the Romans who labeled them Germani. The German people moved from the Mesopotamia Valley GEN.10, (now Turkey) to central Europe.

The Bible draws attention to, GEN 10. Shem, Noahs second son was the father of the white races, those with fair or light skin and light colored hair. In Verse 22. "The children of Shem; Elan, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. Asshur became the founder of Assyria.

A little over 300 years later, Abraham who descended from Arphaxad, became Gods chosen person and from him begat the Nations of Israel. Notice that both the 12 tribes of Israel and the people of the nation of Germany both descended from Shem. Shem the third son of Noah had 5 sons. Ashur lived in the city of Nineveand called his people Assyrians who became both prosperous and a powerful nation while Abraham was still a youth. God brought Abraham and his nephew into the land of Canaan and bestowed on them a large population, wealth and prosperity. Genesis Chapter 14, verse one mentions 4 kings. Were concerned with the last or Tidal king of nations who ruled Asia Minor. Tidal in Hebrew means fear.. Josephus points out that Assyria was now a huge empire under these 4 kings. "At this time, when the Assyrians had dominion over Asia, the people of Sodom were in a flourishing condition...the Assyrians made war upon them; and dividing their army into four parts, fought against them. Now every part of the army had its own commander...Amraphel, Arioch, Chodorlaomer and Tidal. Josephus states " These kings had laid waste to all Syria, and overthrown the offspring of the giants" (Antiquities, I,ix,1) Josephus confirms the 4 kings in Genesis are Assyrian.

The 4 Assyrian divisions invaded Canaan including the cities of Gomorrah and Sodom taking all goods and Abrams nephew Lot prisoner, verse 11,12, also PSALMS.83:8. One person escaped back to Abram and when Abram heard this he armed 318 of his servants and follow them into Dan, verse 14, and by night he killed and persued them nearly to Damascus (Syria), retrieved the goods and people that were captured, Verse 15,16. Verse 17 states that Abram killed all 4 Generals thus allowing Abram and his people to live in peace for some time. It also changed the coarse of history in that Assyria was no longer dominate, and Egypt then became the next power in the Middle East.

In II.Kings.16 you will read that the children of Israel split, see the Nation of Israel for more detail. God allowed this because The Nation of Israel refused to listen to the prophets, ISA.10:5. As Assyria gradually moved west to the Black Sea area, they took the Israelites with them.

When the ancient Greeks wanted to distinguish between Assrians, Arameans and Syrians, the Greeks called the Assyrians "Leucosyri" meaning blond or white where the others were brunette. At the time of Christ, the Roman writter Pliny the Elder recorded that the Assyrians lived north of the Black Sea in the area of Georgia, Ukraine, Poland and into the area they now occupy.

Much was written during the years they migrated from the Caspian Sea through central Europe to there homeland of Germany and Austria. Even Caesar wrote of the fierce Germani or War Man.

The FUTURE of GERMANY

Germany will show itself one more time under the umbrella of the E.U. which will develope into The New World Order Government, REV.14:17 which will be completely controlled and dominated by Germany. Primemister Tony Blair of England stated that NATO will become the bases for the EU European military whether we liked it or not.

Two very prominate past British Prime Ministers, Sir Winston Chirchill and Margaret Thather have both tried to warn the British people and the world that Germany was a very dangerous country, and should never be allow to re-arm, yet we are allowing them to do so. May the Lord have mercy on us for this mistake.
