Guest randomperson
First off this is purely rhetorical, I am not suicidal, and very happy . I know the catholic church teaches that... Anyways, are they right? My first inclination is no... it seems silly that if you don't specifically ask for forgiveness you are damned for all eternity, since it's God who saved you and nothing you did... I've always thought Calvin's theories made more sense looking at scripture... But it's kind of risky to gamble with your eternal soul you know? Even a 1% chance they're right... Thoughts? But .. I do not believe it will get you a ticket to hell if you are indeed His child... The flesh and the devil are strong enemies in our lives and if we are not careful they can drag us down into pits that may seem to us...no escaping it... if we are foolish and deceived enough to think that is true and do kill our selves we are still His child... I do think we will answer to that action when we see Him face to face ... Yup...

In saying this I don't condone suicide, it is a sin, and one that we would ultimately have to answer for, along with the rest.

Guest agua
We belong to Christ, part of His body,we are not our own.So suicide is an act not only against ourselves but against Jesus.(as is all sin) I do not believe it is unforgivable but how it will be judged I don't know. All sins are covered by the blood of Jesus. So we know for sure that for a true believer, no sin can separate them from God's love. For the believers, however, sin does have an impact on our eternal rewards.

As has been pointed out, through Christ we have been forgiven of all our sins - past, present and future. And the Bible says if we hate our brother (fellow man) we are murderers at heart. Remember, God even judges our thought lives and intentions of the heart. I'm sure all of us would admit to hating someone in our lives. So, even self-murder is covered under the blood.
