Wrong! Baptism is for the forgiveness of sins,

So it is water that saves you and not the blood of the Lamb?

to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit

But Cornelius and his household received the gift of the Holy Spirit before they were baptized.

Tell me where Cornelius was said to be saved just because the Holy Spirit fell upon Him and his household?

Are you saying the Holy Spirit fell unsaved people?

Where does it say they were saved?

I went back and acknowledged that re-read the post. Yes, we are saved by the blood of Christ.

Do you deny that baptism is for the forgiveness of sins?

The only thing I can find is:

Acts 11

13 "And he reported to us how he had seen the angel standing in his house, and saying, 'Send to Joppa and have Simon, who is also called Peter, brought here ; 14 and he will speak words to you by which you will be saved, you and all your household.'

Baptism without faith is just getting wet.

Absolutely!

So are you saying you are saved by the blood of Christ, but not forgiven until you are baptized?

So Peter preached to them Jesus, the 'words by which you will be saved' but it doesn't say they were saved when the Holy Spirit came upon them.
