Now...why would you travel to any foreign country and not have papers that verified your legal right to travel in that country. You are traveling through a foreign country and don't have legal documentation showing that you are authorized to do so...and its their fault?

Try doing that in most countries and you'll be locked up until they decide you're going to court. Mexico for instance; they throw interlopers in jail and leave them there. Just ask any Hondurans or Guatemalans who have been caught in Mexico illegally. A job? Forget it; Mexican jobs are for Mexican nationals. Why do they expect us to treat them better than they treat people who sneak into their country? :noidea:

B.E., why don't you worry about your sorry country and let us worry about ours?

Have you read the thread 'What's going on around here lately?'

It's this kind of brashness that breeds arguments and division. Can't we find a more graceful way to disagree with our brother in Christ? Surely?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I made a comment. Being blunt is being honest. People who don't live here should hold their peace when it comes to what is or what is not Constitutional. Their continued comments are what breeds arguments and division. Not bluntness.

I understand your frustration, and the way you just expressed yourself was blunt but yet not offensive. I do think that non-Americans are seeing and feeling your frustrations loud and clear, with respect to what is happening with immigration. But calling someone's nation a "sorry country" is probably walking that fine line, especially with all the tension going on around here at the moment. Then again, even this isn't worth arguing...

I agree we shouldnt be haiting on fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. One scary thought that runs through my mind is a possibility of a union split in a America, these kinds of laws make people act in a manner that they woldnt normally. This is are country red, yellow, black, and white Jesus loves us all. That said Our country is those who are legal citizens. I am a supporter of the Az law, and think that the fed should back it up. I wathced as a principal in a public school told kids to turn there US flag t shirts inside out, as if they were wearing something pornagraphic or insulting. Then all the hispanic kids walked out because the white kids wouldnt obey the pricipal, and nor should they. How dare someone tell a citizen of this country to turn there flag inside out. The kettle is brewing, This countires problems may not just be the stock market it may be a divided nation in our lifetime.

You're correct in that assessment, H.S. This country is roiling with resentment and frustration. Those who break our laws by being here illegally are a major thorn in the side of Americans. Those who don't live here should not be telling us what is right or wrong for us or what is constitutional, although I respect their right to voice an opinion on the ISSUE. We shouldn't denigrate anyone's country either; we are all children of the same God. A little respect goes a long way in avoiding unpleasantness and bad feelings.

What right does law enforcement have to even arrest a shoplifter if they won't enforce the law for illegals?

Yes, what right do they have arresting American citizens for anything if people here illegally can get off scott-free (is that a reference to scottish people not being arrested  )?
