There are numerous references in the Bible to the House of Israel ex. 2 Samuel 1:12, 6:5 and Amos 5:1,3,5 to just name a few.  My exact question is who all in todays world would be considered in the House of Israel?  Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Thank you very much!

I think the vast weight of evidence and consensus of O.T. scholars (and Jews) would be that these are historical references and prophecies about the O.T. nation of Israel, the people of God, the Jews. The kingdom of Israel was divided into Israel and Judah at some point.

You may be able to say modern Jewish people (religious?) are of the house of Israel (?), but I would not be looking for a modern fulfillment of most of these references. In CONTEXT, they are references to the O.T. nation and people of God (Israel). Perhaps nothing more, and nothing less. We would have to allegorize to make it refer to anyone else than Jews or ancient Israel (B.C.).

Hi Kelly

The tribe of Judah are the Jews. Ten tribes were scattered around the world. I dont think you could put your finger on the remnant of those people and point them out.Deut.30 gives much detail about the scattered tribes and how they will be gathered in the last days.

DEUT.30  [1] And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,[2] And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;[3] That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.[4] If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:[5] And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.[6] And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.[7] And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.[8] And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day

In that day HE will bring HIS people(in the twinkling of an eye)to the land promised them. Then the covenant spoken of in Hebrews 8 will take affect as God will then write HIS commandments in our hearts.

Would I be correct in assuming then that perphaps their are people who are of the House of Israel, and subject to the Biblical promises, who are perhaps not even aware of it?

In Ot only the nation of Israel was concidered the House of Israel! Also called the Elect! (GOD chose first)

JESUS (belonged to the house of Israel) who is the Son of GOD and is the only true vine of whom we draw our substance!

All those who are the branches whether origional (of house of Israel who accepted GRACE) or grafted in (Gentiles who accepted GRACE) are now the house of Israel. No difference between Jew and Gentile in GOD'S eyes anymore!

Not two seperate grape vines olive trees only one!

Now we are all called the house of Israel! Also called the Elect!

Hi Kelly

Yea, i suppose

I found this scripture concerning HIS Holy Mountain. It implies that even if you are not of the House of Israel, if you obey HIM, you will be brought to His Holy Mountain. Thats where the 1000 yr period of rest will be.

ISAIAH 56  [6] Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name

of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

[7] Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
