They Have to drill to the same depth to reach the oil, at the same pressures, with the same equipment, and the same bungling company - who knew early on there was a terrible problem. How will it be any different this time?

They are not actually new wells. They are only coming at the current well from both sides and angling in to tap into the ciurrent structure below the blowout preventer. This will enable them to pump heavy mud and concrete, eventually, into the pipes in hopes of capping it. The article talks about if that techiique fails that they can release the oil into several older wells that are dry for storage. Sounds a little stupid to me to plug and cap the thing if it's useful after being tapped into. I don't really think anyone has a plan that's viable. This angle and tap thing is sketchy and no one will say with any certainty that it will work. I'm going to say something controversial now. I don't think President Obama cares one wit whether it's capped or not. It fit's into his agenda nicely and thus far has been a distraction. He wants oil exploration and drilling cut off. Just yesterday another Court upheld the Law, which is very imporatant in these days of tyranny, and refused to allow the current ban on drilling to stay in force. Guess what the Obama Admin. did? They immediately stated that they will seek to enforce yet another form of the same ban. Obama see's $7.00 a gallon gas as a foregone conclussion. He has no problem with that whatsoever he even said so during the Election.
