The "Big Bang" Disproves The Bible

I believe in a big bang, but it hasn't happened yet. One day, at least a good 1007 years from now, the earth will be one big fireball. They'll probably be some noise associated. But, it will definitely be destroying the old and tainted as God ushers in an eternity of pristine and perfect.

The point of my post was that both Creation and Evolution are religions believed in according to faith.

I will say that there is a lot of evidence against evolution, and I have yet to see something concrete against Creation.

However, I have no PROOF. I accept Creation because I know that my God is real and true. The only proof I can offer you of that is found in the Creation, in the Bible, and in the lives and hearts of billions of people over the last six thousand years.

Therefore, I said that BOTH of our views must finally be based, whatever evidence is proposed for or against them, on faith.

Yet, while I use evidences to try to persuade gently folks that God is God, proponents of Evolution routinely behave as though their view is actually science, and anyone who questions it is an uneducated "stupid-head".

The teaching of Evolution in schools is enforced by law, while teachers are often leaned upon not to teach Creation. Students, especially at universities, who claim a belief in Creation have been singled out and even mocked for their beliefs!

But the belief-system of Evolution is no more firmly founded than that of Creation, and I daresay, it is a lot less founded. :x:

Hey we agree. I don't believe in Evolution. (note how my statement was worded ). I'm just saying that it seems to be the same for both sides. Many a christian looks down on evolutionists for not accepting their explanation of it.

I think that christian creation should be taught in school. Along with buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, hindu, east asian, and african teachings of creation. Evolution also. Let the children make up their own minds.

The reason that Evolution is what is taught in school, is because it is scientifically based....

WAIT, JUST WAIT, don't be replying yet, because I know your all ready......

It is based in science, not proven by it.

Therefore, in the academic world, it is the most widely accepted general teaching.

I do pray that you will open your eyes and realize the truth one day....and it also begs the question why you still continue to hang around us stupid Christians....you've been with us what ? 4 months now ? Face it - you are searching for answers to your unanswered questions ( as you've portrayed in your very response to this thread ). The reason I responded is that the posts on this topic are clearly written for me to respond to - and even in my short stay on this forum I have already been accused of ignoring people's points of view or arguments. Therefore, even if a post is to say "there isn't really an argument here", it's nonetheless worth it.

Unfortunately the vast majority of the posts on this thread have been a series of truth statements without corresponding arguments, premises or logical process. They arn't so much non-sequitor as they have nothing to follow on from. If anyone wants a serious debate about the epistemology of evolutionary biology, or the evidence for common ancestry, or anything else - they can start a new thread and actually post up an argument, preferably in their own words - as to why evolution is not a science, or refuting the evidences for common ancestry, or as to why there cannot by definition be evidences for common ancestry, or whatever their argument is.

What I will not do is be goaded into giving lengthy and technical responses to provocative statements that appear out of nowhere, without backing, reason or evidence behind them. I don't think that is such an unreasonable position to come from Bob, especially as elsewhere on this bulletin board, where questions have been asked respectfully of me or arguments put to me politely, and even repeatedly by several people, I have been very patient in answering them. Certainly I do not find this position worthy of suspicion as to my motives - however, given my belief that you are suspicious of my motives in an a priori sense, regardless of and often in spite of my behaviour here, then I should be hardly surprised that this of all things should raise your suspicion.
