It wasn't that long ago I saw her on the news with Sarah Palin....Palin called her an 'inspiration' and she really was. Even though she was a left leaning Democrat she broke the mold way back when and Palin and other women in politics (actually ALL American women) are better off for it. Remember, U.S. politics was 'boys only' for a couple of centures. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_obit_ferraro
Guest -RadicalMan-
Tho i did not respect her views or politics, she did lead the way for a more active role on the part of women. Not just Sarah Palin but even Hillary Clinton owe her a debt of gratitude. She is among a long line of women who have since the beginning of our country led the way to where we are today. I've never heard of it referred to as 'blood cancer' either but I know there are different types; like leukemia.

The cells that are affected are plasma cells, which are our antibody-producing cells. A malignant or cancerous plasma cell is called a myeloma cell. Myeloma is called "multiple" since there are frequently multiple patches or areas in bone where tumors or lesions have developed." http://myeloma.org/PortalPage.action?tabId=1&menuId=150&portalPageId=

Painful.
