The rule is best left as is. However, with a 20 year citizenship requirement, I think that it would be hard for such a thing to happen. I think that even a 30 year citizenship requirement would be better. A kid of 20 years coming to America would be elligible to run for the Presidential office after 30 years living here. I believe that most nationalized citizens owe their allegiences to the United States and not to their former countries. Especially after living here for 20 years. Arnold Schwartzineggar(sic) is the perfect example. He holds no allegiences to his former country at all.

I can check that out if needed...... I don't know the intricacies of the citizenship issue, so I don't think I could comment extensively on whether or not he has duel citizenship. I think it seems likely that he would not favor Austria in any way as President, however. I think that as President you have to be fair to all people and protect America's interests first. I believe that Arnold has done just that for the people of his own state.

I almost said "be born on US soil", but that would exclude children born to military citizens serving abroad, and a few others. I just think it's one rule that should stay in place. t. I'm not sure, ted, but I think that children born on military installations are born on "U.S. soil."
