What can I say, I'm a redneck.

That's why I love the Cranberries, but before I got saved I also listened to U2 quite a lot. Gave that up when Bono started promoting that whole islam / christianity unity thang. PS - Zimm... nothing wrong with a bit of sunburn on the back of yer neck

Other than that I'll listen to a little of anything including rock, metal (some), opera and show tunes (I still sing Funny Girl lyrics around the house). My favorite is very definitely contemporary Christian (just went to a Third Day/ Steven Curtis Chapmen concert a couple weeks ago), with country second. I really like my Forest Gump soundtrack too. I bought the Cranberries and liked it and will listen again today.

I appreciate that you don't listen to it, but making a broad statement that no other Christians have any business listening to it concerns me. What do you do when you're invited to a wedding? What kind of music do you think they played at the wedding in Cana? Surely you don't think it was music that glorified Jesus. Would you ban your children/grandchildren from doing the actions and singing the Eensy Weensy Spider? Clearly this song does not glorify Jesus.... Just wondering. I just get concerned when people make broad statements like this and making up their own laws that should apply to other Christians when the Bible does not mention such laws. Artsylady, you are so right, it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand-up when a person or a group make their own rules up and condemn others if they don't feel the same way. Example: If a person feels that they must stand on their head 10 minutes a day in order to get to Heaven, then go for it, it's their choice. Yet to condemn others for not thinking the same way, just doesn't cut it.
