Guest LadyC Posted January 13, 2012 Share Posted January 13, 2012 i've seen that video before a few times, and it always gets me laughing! cats are weird... i've had cats all my life, and currently have three... i had five, but i had the two oldest ones put to sleep during this last year. anyway, the two that are gone had some weird drinking habits, as does one of the ones we still have. jordy was probably the weirdest. he had several odd habits around the water dish. first one was that when he was drinking, he would paw at the ground like a horse, the whole time he was drinking. very odd. second, sometimes he would put his paw in and drag the water dish across the floor, spilling it everywhere, sometimes even turning it completely over. but worst of all, he was a bit OCD about cleanliness, and he would wash his paws in the water dish everytime he came in from outside, or whenever he'd finished in the litter box. it was really very unsanitary LOL, but his paws were clean! dax loved running water. he was kinda like the cat in the video, he'd get his head right under the water. but he didn't do it for nearly as long! baby is still alive, and she drinks the way oldshep's cat does... she scoops the water onto her paw and licks it off.
