Police forces are not an institution of a free people....... Well, we normally don't disagree on a lot of things Leonard, but I simply don't believe that is reality. Armed civiians don't face the same things that Police officers do so i don't see how anyone could ever compare them.

Police forces are not an institution of a free people....... Actually, police are a necessity of a free people. Without someone to keep the law and order, we wouldnt have freedom we would have total anarchy, with the strong stomping upon the weak. It would get so bad, it would actually force the government to bring in the military and turn the country into martial law-much faster then it is now. Instead of a police officer being there when we dial 911, we would have soldiers on every block and tanks patrolling the streets. Someone, has to be there to maintain the law.
