Firestorm, who are they judging during the millennium?

I answered that in my last post, unless I'm misunderstanding something.

I've always thought it was those who are unsaved and lived through the great tribulation. I mean, how can we live and rule with christ for 1000 years if there is nobody to rule over?

Yes, I am seeing this as a strong possibility and reason. Who do you think the judges will be?

bopeep, that was what I was thinking, but scripture does not say.

Enoch, isn't that the Great White Throne Judgment?

Firestorm, who are they judging during the millennium?

John, what would this judging be? Do you mean the living who do wrong in any way will be judged through the millennium by those who sit on the thrones and not a civilian judge? I never considered this before.

*** edited to correct wording ***

I respectfully disagree.I am sticking with my interpretation.

Us! We reign with Christ. Just like JohnDB said. Luke 19:17. We believers will be the ruling party with christ.

Revelation 20 is one of the hardest chapters of the Bible to interpret because so much meaning is forced upon the text that is not necessarily true... and it is what I would refer to as a rapid procession of visions which are not necessarily in chronological order. The battle of har Meggido... does it happen twice? Or is there a recap of the battle from another perspective?

How many times does the inhabitants of the world fall prey to Satan's schemes and muster around the Holy City to annihilate the chosen people?

The world millennium was to the ancient Greek what a million is to the more modern folk... perhaps a billion or a trillion or a Googleplex or something... When I grew up it was million that was the accepted exaggeration...

"That girl will never go out with you in a million years."

Yeah... heard that a lot. :)

It's okay... saved my from my own poor choices for God's choice the lovely bride of my youth (married 32 years now).

Anyway, not to say it cannot be a literal 1,000 years of 365.25 days each... but the term is an expression of a long period of time contemporary people will not live to see.

And notice the use of after THE thousand years the emphasis could mean more than a literal 1,000 but after the last 1,000 of those years.

And we could be living in the millennium which is another way to say the church age and in the sense that we are (supposed to be anyway) a kingdom of Priests...

1 Peter 2:3-11 (KJV)

3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Revelation 1:6 (KJV)

6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10 (KJV)

10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

It does solve a few disputed things...

Did you think all of what I said was addressed to you? I answered you in the beginning, and the rest afterward.

I didn't get that from John's post. Never the less, scripture does not agree with you on this one.

Revelation 20:4 reads "And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years."

There is never any mention about the rest of us being in this group. Where do you find that we are?
