Westboro is an extremist sect of the Christian faith that is in gross error. They help us to identify the other end of the pendulum though. It is those who are moving against organizations like theirs who will throw the first stones when the holocaust of Christians begins and the way made clear that leads to the place one looses their head for faith in Christ. As can be clearly seen, the opposing group is pro-homosexual though they are preaching peace and tolerance, they themselves are intolerant. As a follower of Christ, I am opposed to both sides of this issue but stand squarely in the middle and ultimately in the crossfire between the two as both entities involved see me as evil. Therefore, we are told to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. Isa 6:9-11 ¶ And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, We are well on our way. The world will be better off. I hope innocent people do not get caught in the crossfire.

I support that.

The Westboro people will eat it up. They live for stuff like that. To them, it will be even more confirmation what they preach is correct.

I can think of so many examples of peaceful protests exposing dangerous and evil views. So I think it is good to challenge one idea with another, peacefully. They aren't looking to be "peaceful" toward the Westboro Baptists by painting their house like the gay pride flag.

Totally. If we followed two wrongs don't make a right in every situation, where would the Civil Rights Movement be? Peaceful protests have brought down many injustices. They know full well painting their house to look like the gay pride flag will do nothing but antagonize the Westboro Baptists.

I am just saying there is a whole distance between protesting at military funerals and holding up signs saying <<< vulgar, hateful things >>> versus peacefully painting a house a rainbow color. From the ToS... The use of profanity will not be tolerated. This includes sexually explicit, vulgar, or other profane language or usernames as well as any any signs or symbols that suggests such.
