The 50 worst charities in America devote less than 4% of donations raised to direct cash aid. Some charities gave even less. Over a decade, one diabetes charity raised nearly $14 million and gave about $10,000 to patients. Six spent no cash at all on their cause.

One of those is a so called Christian ministry too. Quite sad. 

 

Many years ago, I got a phone call one day when I was studying for exams and about to take a quick nap. It was from a group calling themselves wish upon a star. They wanted money. I was a poor college student.  I didnt have any. The woman on the phone cussed me out. That taught me how not all charities are on the up and up.

This is sickening. There is something to be said about giving directly to local charities that you KNOW and can SEE what they're doing with donations.
