I have not seen anyone on this thread bash WalMart.

Pointing out facts is not bashing

I do not know anything about the business climate of DC, I do not even know where the Walmarts were going to be.  So, I cant say what other companies are willing to go in.

Well, maybe you should research this.

You wouldn't laugh so hard if you've ever driven through D.C. like I have and minister to the homeless of D.C. like Dave (Matthitjah) does.

I laughed because you had the gall to tell me to do some research after refusing to do so yourself when I had already done the the legwork for you

Please point to the post where I said they had.  I was making a generalized statement.

I unfortunately used the term "bash" in the post immediately above his, so he may have been replying to mine.

It was a rather long post though.  Funny how people respond to just one thing - and usually not the one you would expect.

Blessings!

Playing tit-for-tat was something we did in elementary school. I was hoping you would have a bit more maturity about this.

Do you truly believe that having no businesses offering jobs of any sort is the best thing for DC?

Sorry, just found it funny how people expect things from others they won't do themselves.

I have made no comments on the specifics of DC and will not do so due to having no personal experience in the area

Personally DC politics is so crazy I'm amazed at any business that tries to open there!  This is a city that elected a convicted crack head as it's Mayor.  (Marion Barry if you're interested in looking him up!)

Then why are you arguing the DC is better off without Walmart, when you don't know how bad it (DC) is?

Which is why people should be applauding Walmart for taking the risk. This new law will be sure to further keep other businesses away. How will that help the community?

I made no such argument at all. i have pointed out facts about WalMart in general.

I have made no arguments or judgements of any sort.
