A look at his remarks to the nation, seeking support for a military strike against Syria, and how they compare with the facts as publicly known: OBAMA: "We know the Assad regime was responsible. ... The facts cannot be denied." THE FACTS: The Obama administration has not laid out proof Assad was behind the attack More at link

He loves supporting Muslim rebels (just look at his track record) and he despises Assad's regime. Chemical weapons were not a reason, but an excuse! I have to point out that ALL of the 'rebels' in that region are muslim. What would be the benefit of attacking Assad? To the U.S., that is. Guest shiloh357
The president has enjoyed for the last five years, the delusion that he, by simply the power of his personality, can simply speak and the world will just follow whatever he says, no questions asked. Those days are over. He is facing the hottest opposition to anything he has ever had to since being president. In the first couple of years after the first election, the liberal media treated him as if he could say and do no wrong. He got used to that. Suddenly, the country has awoken out of its stupor and now, not only cannot the president not garner support for a strike on Syria, the more he talks, the less people support it, even his own party. In fact, parts of his speech, entire paragraphs were lifted from the very speech Bush used to justify an attack on Iraq. The very arguments that the president condemned George Bush for making to justify going to war with Iraq, he used last night to justify a strike on Syria. Such is the state of American politics.....the M.E. press is having a field day with that very fact.
