His quirky sense of humor is entertaining, but he also just has so much common sense and a real heart for evangelism. The news today was just talking about what an idealized picture our media has painted of Muslim faith. (In fact, in my town they were having that “Draw Muhammad” contest.) Remember that cheesy Robin Hood movie with Kevin Costner? (No great loss if you didn’t see it.) Morgan Freeman is a very likable character and even as a teenager I could see that Hollywood was trying to paint the Muslim side of the Crusades in a sympathetic light. I look back on my school days and see now that from dinosaurs to the near worship of environmentalism it was just a slow and subversive indoctrination.
