How does a true minister relate to the other people with gifts? What would be his role?

And how would a one pastor ministry be a hindrance as you mentioned in the opening?

Is it because he is thought to be a prime speaker

rather than sharing the pulpit?

When The Master Speaks, "Feed My Sheep"

to equip the saints

for the work of ministry,

for building up the body of Christ,

until we all attain to the unity of the faith

and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood,

to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves

and carried about by every wind of doctrine,

by human cunning, by craftiness

in deceitful schemes.

Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,

from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped,

when each part is working properly,

makes the body grow so

that it builds

itself up

in love. Ephesians 4:12-16 (ESV)

The Beloved Obey

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

And do not get drunk with wine,

for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,

giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father

in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

submitting to one another

out of reverence

for Christ. Ephesians 5:15-21 (ESV)

Amen~!

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples,

if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 (ESV)

So if credentials are not necessarily the calling of God, what signs can we look for that would indicate a suitable pastor?

Good, lasting fruit, just as you would see in any person who is walking closely with Jesus Christ.
