Which do you prefer? A Bible in your hands, or on a screen?

I was curious to know how people study their Bible, either an 'old-fashioned' leather bound book, or do you read it onscreen?

As for me, I have both paper and ink Bibles, as I enjoy the smell associated with reading a Bible, and like the weight in my hands; and then I look quotes up on screen as I admit that's an easy way to get hold of God's word, especially when posting. What do you do?

I typically read the Bible on my phone or computer. At church I try to read an actual physical Bible to avoid distractions.

I find it a lot easier to switch translations on my phone or computer. That is really nice for me as I like reading the ESV, NASB, NKJV, NLT, and even on occasion the Message paraphrase.

God bless,

GE

Interesting, I take only an IPad to Church. I never thought about it being a distraction as I see some use phones in Church as well. In what way do you see other means than a physical Bible a possible distraction?

For me it's notifications for other applications on my phone... Particularly email, Facebook, Messenger, What's App, etc.

God bless,
GE

Thanks so much for mentioning this app. I'm always on the lookout for cool study apps such as this one. On the Android side of things, I believe MySword Bible is a comparable app.

You're most welcome, and I think that you're right on MySword. I don't have an Android device, so I've never tried MySword.
