I know my wife and I enjoy the furry company.

Unless you have allergies I do not see a problem with it. That furry companion can bring you comfort. But make sure your dog is free of fleas. :)

I agree.  It's very soothing to have that little furry ball of unconditional love beside you.

They're great for warming up those ice cold feet, too! :D

Fleas have never been a problem with the six dogs we've since 1989.

Just be careful the breed is not susceptible to back problems because jumping off the bed can be brutal...unless you sleep hippy style with the mattress on the floor :)

You mean the very small dogs like Dachshund. My mom was sleeping at a friend's house once. She woke up with a Dachshund wrapped around her neck :D

While the unconditional love our dogs show to us is extra special, imagine the greatest unconditional love God has given us through Jesus?

That's why my wife and I have our mattress on the floor (actually the box spring is on the floor).  We also have cushioned steps made out of hassocks so they can join us whenever they want when we're watching TV.  Jake, a male Pomeranian, especially likes the Empire Carpeting commercials' jingle.  He'll stop whatever he's doing to listen and watch that commercial and then pick up where he left off when it's done.

Not to date me, but I wouldn't recommend poochy on a waterbed either.:emot-headphones:

Used to have a water bed. A really nice one. The one with the bladders. It was very durable and the animals on the bed would not cause a problem. The problem is that occasionally the bladders would leak.Had to get rid of it. Had it a long time. The waterbed was really nice when I was pregnant. :)

I cant imagine sleeping without a pet in bed, assuming one is in the house. All my life, pets slept with me.
