It is not new, that is for sure.  I have a 21 year old nephew and when he was born his mother was convinced that all gender roles were the result of social pressures, that there was no difference between boys and girls except for the obvious physical ones.

It only took a few years as a parent for her to realize her mistake, that you can give a boy and a girl child the exact same toy and they will play with it differently, despite her trying to shield him from social pressures.

Buy a boy a Barbie doll??   While they are at it, buy him a training bra, get his nails painted pink, and get his ears pierced and by him a sun dress.

I am so tired of the emasculation and wimpification of modern male.

Boys need dirt bikes and BB guns and fishing rods.  They need to be taught how to  throw a football, change the oil and how to change a flat tire, not made into an effeminate freak.

Aren't women enough?

That's what it's starting to feel like.

So many in the US are raising their sons to be bigger boys, instead of raising them to be men.

It's really sad.

Yes totally different.

I was a tom-boy growing up but never felt like a boy - nor did I want to be one.

I just wanted to run faster than them!??

I was also a tomboy. Hated playing with dolls. Never had a barbie. I liked matchbox cars, tonka trucks. Ran wild in the countryside. Fished, climbed trees, caught frogs etc.

So I dont wear make up as an adult. But I am not confused about which gender I am. And I have plenty of girly moments lol.

This whole gender thing today is just crazy. What is wrong with a girl being a girl or a boy being a boy?

I started a thread about this in General Discussion.  The whole gender issue  pushed by the Left is a product of Marxist thinking.
