For a referendum is more basic even than Parliament. That is, MPs are merely representatives of the People, who have already spoken for themselves, directly, in a referendum. ----- But, of course the UK high judges cannot stand any sovereignty on the part of the People themselves. No, the establishment of bigwigs (both literal and figurative) knows better than the People what is best for the People. ----- How condescending can you get! ----- Restore democracy to the UK now! The time of aristocracy is past! ----- And EU tyranny must end! Out with an unaccountable Brussels bureaucracy! And in with the power of the People! We have to assume of course that Britain really is the 'Tarshish' as mentioned in the Old Testament.
