Please noticed I asked "how" do I stop believing, not why or any other question. If I decide to quit Christianity, I need to know how to do it. And who better to ask than the "believing that you can do it experts."

Thank you royal member for the answer and for giving me your time. But I could argue or debate is a better word all day long. As a teenager, I stopped obeying my parents out of rebellion. I knew what they were saying was the truth but I stopped obeying it anyway. I knew they were still my parents and in my own way, I still loved them. Therefore, I don't see stop obeying the truth as being a way to stop believing.
Guest
I you are truly born again -- you can't. You can deny, but your heart will always give you away to GOD.
Guest Teditis
Start going to a church that teaches a works-based Salvation and denies the eternal assurance that's taught in the Scriptures. Stay there long enough and you might forget about the Grace of God in your life.

Simply you say. Sounds simple enough. How do I take the truth I have already received in my heart, and take it out of my heart and place it elsewhere? Does that sound like a foolish question? It sounds foolish to me. Yet this is exactly what non-OSAS people say we can do.

Yes, but God isn't your parent like your earthly parents are. Your earthly parents were not perfectly JUST. God is a GOOD and loving God, but He is also a JUST God. He demands justice, which is why Jesus had to die for us. So...as GDMoss and Giller said, if you stop believing the truth, WHAT can save you? Nothing. Hebrews 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have THE KNOWLEDGE of the truth, there is no sacrifice left for us. Fran

Very legalistic. So many new terms. So complicated. Jesus said to do the will of the Father. To DO. It's not legalistic to do the will of the Father. First you find out there's a God. Then your heart speaks to you in some way and you accept Him through the sacrifice of Jesus you become born again as Jesus spoke of in John 3:4 We are to enter into the Kingdom of God. It begins right here on earth. So, if I follow the Lord and do as He would want me to, I am a part of the Kingdom. If I stop following the Lord I am no longer a part of the Kingdom. HOW does one stop following the Lord? Easy. The why's are many. The HOW is this: "God, I believed in You but you let me down. I prayed and prayed but you let my child die. I thought you loved me but apparently you don't. So I also can no longer love you. I detest you for not having done what I asked and will no longer serve you or believe in you." That's pretty much HOW. Fran
