And what exactly is a mummy's boy?

I've heard varied meanings and wonder if from a Christian point of view, its a positive or negative thing.

Were Jacob and Isaac "mothers boys"?

Genesis 67 v 24

67 Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah, and he married Rebekah. So she became his wife, and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

Jacob was indoors (tent/cooked)  kind of guy while Esau was outdoors and hunted game.

*Are " mum's boys" more sensitive to women's needs? Surely that's a plus!

A mommies boy is a married, adult male who can't be the man of the house because he  is more loyal to his mommy than he is to his wife. the disadvantages of marrying one is that a wife only wears the ring in her household, but the mother makes all the decisions.

Do you think there's more to it?

That mums boys are more sensitive to women's needs because they are close to their mothers (not being bossed around  by mother).

It's not about the mother's needs. It is about the boys needs. Submissive people always have some need that is satidfied by his controller.

Not all mummy's boys mothers are controlling....

however....

I've seen the total opposite too, a controlling mother during childhood and a son that wanted little or nothing to do with her as an adult but to the detriment of the grandkids.

Ha ha Lol!!

How do Chinese women feel about that? Are mothers in law bossy and controlling?

Where does the Chinese husband put his wife? Above his mother?

Jacob was a hard worker.

Today a momma's boy is one who hangs around the home at 25 with little effort at finding a job.

So Yowm, this is my problem...she's a daddy's girl...he's a mummy's boy.

The mummas boy label  is always a negative whereas  the daddy's girl is sweet and positive.
